The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The woman working at the desk took the time to draw us a map to show us where to go on our visit to Penn State. Someone also brought cupcakes in during the evening and offered us some. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Penn State. Best hotel stay I've ever experienced. The treadmill in the workout room was out of order. This happens - I think we just hit it at the wrong time.
All things went good with my stay. Good breakfast, nice staff, clean, just an all around good experience.
Very clean, nice room, decent size fridge that was nice and cold and air conditioning that worked well. Accommodating and friendly staff.
The rooms are very spacious and comfortable... Wish ALL rooms had a fridge tho.... Breakfast is usually good as well.... Greg is a GREAT people person who works the over night shift...... Very helpful and always cheerful and polite to guests..... Stayed in a room after a busy weekend and it wasnt the cleanest it could have been.... Food substance on window ledge for some reason..... Coffee pot dusty and when ran water through it there was stuff floating in the water....
They said they had breakfast but was a bit sparse.
Location. Plenty of places to eat. Because we were a family, it would have been good to have a little mini fridge in the room for left overs
We arrived on Friday evening before the Penn State football game. The hotel staff kindly welcomed us at the front entrance with cookies, water, and other snacks. The location was easy to find and not too far from campus, although not walkable. Our room was clean and better than I had expected. The bed was comfortable and clean. There was a breakfast but we did not utilize it. WiFi was also available for free in the room. Our hotel room was located just around the corner from the front lobby on the main floor. Although this was convenient for getting out to our vehicle the hallway was noisy. We could hear people talking in the hallway from inside our room throughout much of the night. I wish we had been given a more quiet room.
Great value for sure and easy access to campus and surrounding area attractions. Room was exactly what I expected. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Our room was exceptionally large compared to some hotels. They let us check in early too. No refrigerator or microwave. There was a microwave by the front desk for all to use, I did not see it till we left.
Plenty of families staying there. Construction workers gave us a better feeling of security. Seriously. The doors to motel did not lock. Anybody from street could walk in and get on elevator. No security cameras.
ordinarily it would be a good value for the money, but they tripled their prices for a football weekend, which means that it was less than a good value for what you get. clean and relatively quiet family with dog in room next to me. they left the dog alone for long periods, during which it howled and barked the whole time.
Before I booked the hotel I read the reviews and I took a chance. I'm glad I did! I have no clue why someone would rate the hotel low. I have been in hotels for twice the price and this hotel was really a good deal for the price and very clean!! Don't hesitate!
Staff were helpful as possible. Room was smoked and ratty
Inexpensive and good location for us. Rooms were as clean as one would expect for the price. Simple breakfast was a nice surprise coffee tastes good. Free and fast internet connection. Parking right out front of your door. Many lights to make room bright with curtains closed. Frig and microwave were handy. Thin walls and noisy shower. The pass through for breakfast seemed like a weak point relative to security, I didn't leave valuables in the room. Small bathroom.
Relatively low price, friendly staff. In my room, the heater, when on, always blowed air, even when desired temperature was reached and the thermostat turned off the heating element. At this point, the heater started to blow cold air, which was uncomfortable (as I lay in my bed, the cold air was blowing over my head). I could not find the way to program the heater to turn off the fan when desired temperature is reached.
very good none
Very cozy and the staff were a delight
Honestly, everything. Was a short drive to State College but nice, quiet, dog-friendly location. Room was spacious & comfortable, with fridge/microwave. Staff very friendly. SO happy I chose to stay here. No complaints, about anything. Would recommend this to anyone.
What I loved most about the hotel was the cleanliness, the room, and the perfect location. Everyone was kind. Also, I was excited the room had tv. The only problem I had was in my room it was too cold for me. I tried turning the heat up but it wasn't enough to keep the room nice and warm.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating... The location was great .... on the west side near cafe 210 ... walking distance to everything!
Location was the best Cleanliness was an issue. The bathroom was gross. Hair all over the walls and floor. Clearly not cleaned before we got there. Brought it up to the staff and they said it would be cleaned, but never done.
They just need to update the hotel to the 2000's
For the price you're paying, this hotel is perfect

Located in the heart of state college everything was a walk or short drive away. The woman at check-in was very friendly and attentive. Not bad at all for the price.
The location is about the only thing. the furniture was falling apart. There was stains in the tub. The key was an actual key, which worried me about security. Room smelled musty, but seemed clean. Very outdated. Would not stay here again.
Nice receptionist Loud neighbors fighting. The power in our room didn't work the second night. The tub drain was clogged
price Paid cash then was still charged on my debit card. Help!!!
Good location. Workers are rude. Room was not clean. Hard to find anyone working at the front desk.
Price The window was backwards. I had to take it out and turn it around to lick it. The man who checked me into the hotel smelled of marijuana and could not properly count my money for payment.
