I really liked how nice the staff were. When we got in, they were resolvong and issue with an upset guest but the staff seemed very understanding and remained professional, which is not always easy. Then my sister and I checked in and while there were difficulties with the debit card we used, they were patient and friendly. We had a few questions and got answers right away. They offered us towels and supplies like cookingware and dishes upon request. That was very convenient. There isnt't 24 hour staff, but we didn't need that. We took the elevator to avoid the trash cans in rhe corner of the stairwell. Other than that bad odor, I reallt have no complaints.
Front desk staff were very friendly, and the fresh baked cookies were a nice treat! Easy access to the I-90 and many amenities close by. Rooms were small and a little dated. The pillows were super thin and not very comfortable.
Friendly, helpful staff and quite restful location!
The beds were comfortable The overall place wasn't really clean
The pool room and fitness room was nice. Close to the interstate and some dining areas. Eggs would be nice for the breakfast
Location was close to airport. Price was good. Druggies every where. They never cleaned my room. Had to get my own towels and toilet paper from downstairs lobby. No stores or real restaurants anywhere by this location.
The whole experience was BAD. Motel 6 needs to look into this franchise very seriously!
Comfortable bed, great wifi signal Dirty towel hanging in the bathroom, worn looking comforter
Room and bathroom were clean. All I needed was a place to sleep, and that's what I got. Internet was slow and gave out multiple times. Towels felt like sandpaper and had various spots on them. I could hear everything coming from the room next to mine and outside.
Nothing. All was terrible. Filthy , filthy and filthy. Hair and good stuck to the threadbard wash cloths. Visible feces on the bathroom floor. carpets absolute filthy. Staff was incompetent. They had us changing rooms multiple times, even though I had preregistered and made my requests clear well in advance. The key to the room would not work, opps they forgot to tell to push the handle up not down. They gave us one bed, not two as requested well in advance. Phone ringing in the middle of the night and the desk clerk could not explain why.
The guy who checked us in was very friendly & nice. There were a lot of shady people hanging around outside & in hallways. The room had lots of stains on floor, comforters felt dirty, holes in blanket. We were woken up around 3:00am by a loud fight in one of the rooms that continued for awhile. Overall it just didn't feel very safe or clean.
The cleanliness The bathroom tap was terrible
It was very unclear
Look, it's clean, the staff is friendly, and you're at least within an hour of Spokane if location matters. It was Hoopfest, so this was the only place where a vacancy was available. I booked ahead of time, but still it was expensive, far more than what it's worth. Stay here if you need a place to stay and it's not the one weekend when 50,000 additional people are in Spokane (I was there for an unavoidable family event), and you have no place else to go like we did. The beds are hard, the "free breakfast" consists of cereal and waffles, the pool was questionably murky, the bathroom so small I had to step into the tub to get around the door to get in or out, not enough towels (the two of us each had one towel, not enough when you're also staying with a toddler), and the location incredibly inconvenient if you're in town for a family event and have to drive into Spokane several times each day. Farrrrr too expensive for what you get. I'm also very easygoing when it comes to staying in motels so I don't expect luxury and am glad for a clean place to put my head, but the beds and towels were really ridiculous, and I hate that I spent the same as I would have in Portland or Seattle for a night at a luxury hotel just because they could raise prices usuriously high for Hoopfest. The rest I'm miffed about but I understand the location is good for others stopping for the night, I don't need the pool, and I'm young enough that the bathroom size was a minor inconvenience...until trying to get a toddler into her bath.
Location was very convenient to the AFB and the airport area, but otherwise was kind of far out if you have business in town. Value was great, staff very nice. Plumbing was really noisy, so good luck on sleeping through your neighbors showers.
There was a pool and a jacuzzi and it was located near an event we had to go to I went to plug in my phone charger and saw a bunch if garbage behind the desk. The shower only sprayed half the water the other half just dribbled out into the tub. We asked for new covers for our beds and an ice bucket and more towels, the front desk attendant said she would deliver them to us she never did we had to roll up the old covers and take them down and swap them out and grab the other stuff.all around not a great experience.
Alyssa, the front desk gal, was very friendly. A guest broke the pool light the day before, so we were not able to use it.
Convenience to both Cheney and Spokane We had a 3rd floor non-smoking room but they allow smoking on half of that floor. From he moment you get to about the 2nd floor landing in the stairwell, the smoke smell is overpowering. The entire floor smelled and when we got into the room, there was a blood stain right in the middle of the bed (not like they couldn't see it when cleaning). We won't stay there again.
I like that it has pretty much everything you need. Gym pool hot tub breakfast bath tub to relax, I had a corner room and watched a movie without commercials a total work-cation I only got two pillows. For a queen size bed at home I use about 4.
I like that I always have a clean comfortable room when I stay and the staff is very nice.
The room was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the hot tub and pool. The staff were really friendly and helpful. There was a problem with the alarm system the first night that caused it to go off at about 2:30 a.m. We were reassured quickly that everything was ok and it didn't happen again.
I stayed at the Tiki Lodge for three nights at the end of April 2016. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The accommodations were clearly old (linens have stains, plumbing had some issues), but overall about what I would expect for the price. During my stay I was very happy with the room and the overall experience. The staff was quick to help with the plumbing issues, which can't really be avoided in a building from the 60s. The area isn't great, but I knew that when I made my reservation and wasn't planning to walk around at night anyway. I might have been more comfortable in the area if I hadn't been traveling alone. The room itself had a lingering smell, almost like old smoke or cologne, which wasn't really an issue but became irritating by the third day. My only real complaint regarding my stay is that when I returned home I realized that my arms were covered in bed bug bites. The bites can take several days to surface, especially if you haven't been bitten before and so I didn't realize that I had been bitten until after I left. In retrospect, the small stains I noticed on the sheet (which I had assumed were old), were one of the classic signs of bed bugs. I realize that bed bugs can happen anywhere, but spending my first day back quarantining my luggage, ruining my clothes washing them on the hottest setting on my washer and dryer to kill any eggs/live bugs, and going over my suitcase with a fine toothed comb looking for bugs was an extremely unpleasant experience. I called the motel and let them know that I suspected they had a bed bug infestation in my room, and I can only assume that they have started taking the appropriate steps to deal with the infestation, but I would caution anyone staying here to check the sheets and mattress of the bed before settling into a room.
It was a nice affordable and clean mom and pop hotel. It was near downtown and Franks diner. Which is cool and has a good breakfast.
This is a really old-school motel, but it was a) cheap, b) clean and c) had a big room with a king-size bed. Also convenient to downtown and freeway, especially heading to airport (10-12 mins away). Wi-fi was fine (and free). Lobby is a blast from the past, especially the '60s gold armchairs. A family-type restaurant is across the parking lot which I didn't try, but it claims to have city's best hash browns. Lots of fast food within walking distance. Ice machine on ground floor. A/C was only fair ... fortunately, weather wasn't too hot. No clock in room! Old-fashioned tube-type TV with relatively few channels. Some noise from nearby rail line that runs through the heart of downtown. Bring your own shampoo -- the only toiletry provided is soap.
The bed was comfortable. The room felt secure. I work night shifts and would've appreciated a curtain over the bathroom light that shone into the room.
The staff was great. Very friendly. The rooms were clean but old. The hotel itself is very OLD and needs some updating. Not many of the outlets worked. The housekeepers only exchange towels and take out the trash. Hotel is located on a very busy road but close to downtown. There was a lot of road noise.
Housekeeping bothering me every morning while I'm sleeping or in the shower. Never failed to annoy me.
convenience to downtown quiet lack of coat hangers no lights on both sides of bed lack of coffee/tea makers in the room lack of balance bar for toilet
Room was clean enough TV was ancient and poor picture quality, carpet wasn't good. Could hear the plumbing from surrounding rooms. Some dubious characters hanging around outside smoking!! No refrigerator or coffee available. Only ice machine was broken. Vending machine was out of water. Would NOT recommend
