Massively inconvenient and cost me a bundle
Cons: I booked through your site, got a confirmation e-mail and was all set to pick up the car. On the morning of the rental I received a call from Sixt saying there had been an error and that no car was available. Upon requesting more information I was told that their system showed there were no cars available and that no-one should have been able to book, thereby suggesting your system is at fault. As I was depending on having a vehicle for a 400km round trip that had to be made, I had to rent from another company at three times the cost. I am extremely unhappy.
Bad service, nice car
Pros: The car (I finally ended up getting) was very nice, drove well.
Cons: When I arrived to pick up my car, they didn't have the car I had PREPAID for on site. They offered an "upgrade" which was NOT an upgrade. It was a much LARGER car, but not a better car. I was staying at a place with a very tight garage, so this was not acceptable. I spent over an hour discussing and arguing, until finally, they somehow magically had a small Audi appear. They had to clean it, so I had to come back an hour later (losing half a day of vacation in this process). When I returned the car, there was a small scratch. I've never been charged before for this, but they sent me a bill of over 600 euros. I don't know if I would ever rent from Sixt again.
Expect to pay a lot more than you anticipated
Cons: They did not warn me I should return car with full tank of gas. To take car at the start and do all the paper work took me 50 minutes. Terrible service at pick up location in Antibes
