Great hotel. Very service friendly staff. Extra bed free of charge!
Undiscribable bad service do not stay therer.
Breakfast was great
The breakfast was good, but the dinner in the same restaurant (with white table cloth) was very poor. It was near the centre of the city, but a long walk from the central station. The fitness room was clean but the sauna was not working. Dinner menu was limited.
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and were always willing to assist with taxi and other requests. They also prepared breakfast packs for us when we had to leave early. They also had printing facilities connected to the internet. Location appeared to be in the business district rather than the shopping district.
Room was clean but bit small, good breakfast, friendly staff.
no complaints, comfortable room, good breakfast, friendly staff
The staff is friendly, the location is good for city trip. We stayed there for Sat and Sun night, it is very very loud disco music in the middle of the night, neither my boyfriend nor myself had any sleep on Saturday.
Great location, clean hotel with very good service Small room
Very good service offered in a good location, although no sauna/spa/steam room is a big disadvantage. Depends what you want.
The breakfast vwas really nice and the location is excellent, right in the centre of town. Also, the hotel offers a light snack from 6-9pm which is a nice touch (particularly given the high prices of eating out in Oslo); also coffee & tea is free in the hotel and they have a really nice lounge on the 7th floor. Our room wasn't cleaned which we felt was disappointing (particularly given price of the room) and although we booked a superior room, the bed was just standard size (not king size, as it says on the website). Also, the gym is quite basic and there isn't - as some websites state - a sauna.
The location is perfect, the hotel is designed nicely. The buffets are great. The rooms are well designed and comfortable. My slanted bed. If I was staying more that two nights I would have said something.
My first room was small and very basic. Bad light, no writing desk. I got another room which was excellent.
The staff is very friendly and the buffet dinner is a plus because oslo is very expensive the heating system in the bedroom is very slow to heat up and i had to request a spare duvet on the first night because our room was too cold
When we arrived at 11pm the staff gave us free sandwich and drink - nice touch. Plus they bumped us up to a junior suite free of charge because all the deluxe suites were gone. The bed was the nicest I slept in, and I stay in hotels all the time. This hotel was the highlight of our trip because neither of us liked Oslo - thank god we stayed here. The rooms aren't that big but it's not a massive problem.
Staff was very friendly and helpful, room was clean, quiet, comfortable. Free laundry ( need your own detergent and a 20 kroner coin which you get back). Gym looked decent too. I would defibitely return.
The tortoise show. One of the women at the front desk.
only one thing i wanst happy about, we had an early flight even though the breakfast started nice and early but not everyone wants to eat straight away after waking up. i wanted to make some sandwiches for me and my partner instead eating the breakfast but been told we cant take the food out only if we pay extra, didnt get that cos we payed for breakfast why couldnt we take it with us?
room is cold, noisy next to street
The staff were very helpful with queries re transport, restaurants.
Very close to the city centre - easy to find shops & cafes. Very close to the city underpass, also building work began at 6.30 am across the road.
Best price (comparable to hostels) but very clean and comfortable. It's probably the best price/benefit in the region.
We really liked the beds and the breakfast, so much so that we stayed here our 2nd time in Oslo again! A bit noisy again, able to hear your neighbors frequently.
The comfort of the rooms; the general ambience of the place; the proximity to woodlands / nature; the fact that there were bikes I could use to wander into the woods; the free transfers to airport & Marsta station having to go to a basement room to iron my clothes; couldn't get through to the hotel even after trying for 15 mins when I initially reached the airport to arrange for the transfer bus to pick me up
Clean, comfortable. Provided the necessiticies - bed, bath and breakfast - appropriately and efficiently. Staff were helpful and informative. Breakfast was good.
This hotel was more than I expected from a budget hotel. The beds are extremely comfortable and the breakfast is fantastic! The rooms are a bit small and you can hear your neighbors a bit, but to be expected with a place that has so many rooms.
The Thon Hotel Munch offers the basics: clean room; no shared bathroom; and breakfast. The hotel location is not the most convenient
Very clean room, central location. Quite good breakfast. Hotel stuff is helpful and friendly. Didn't like the shower. There was problem with hotel booking system, and they charge for the room twice.
The rooms where cleen and the beds nice.
Service was top notch and staff were very friendly and helpful
close to the downtown the big surprise was the breakfast, a oneslice ham sandwich with a strange drink maybe orange
staff was good this is a budget hotel, may be half a step above a hostel. place is run down and room was stripped-to-the-bones basic. it looked clean, though. i checked in, saw the room and moved to a different hotel immediately
I liked the low price and the location. The staff were nice and their internet was efficient. I felt safe. There were children playing soccer in the hallways until late at night. They were loud but that's not really the hotel's fault. You have to have a different password for each device that you connect to WIFI which was different.
Nice location in Oslo city centre. Clean room and friendly staff.
We used the hotel as a one night stopover prior to flying out of Oslo. Convenient location - It's on the same block as the tube. It's also walking distance to various tourist sights. Very polite staff and free coffee were also nice. A little dingy - but acceptable.
Confortable unsafe - the electronic keys are un ilusion . desparear my two mobiles
The clerk made a special effort to locate for me a pillow that was not stuffed with feathers/down, to which I am allergic, along with providing a quieter room on the eve of the national holiday.. Coffee, tea, and free internet computers were conveniently located in the lounge. I enjoyed the packaged breakfast delivered to the room as well as the coffee making facility in the room.
In the middle of Oslo, very close to the subway and other communications. Convenient for business traveling and close to shopping. The employees at the hotel were very helpful and nice. The breakfast (in a little bag by the door) was tasty - very convenient to be able to just grab the breakfast bag and bring it to the conference. :) The room was a little bit worn down and cold.
Very conveniently located to the pedestrian zone, palace, and waterfront. Except for check in, all of our interactions with the staff were pleasant. Food left outside rooms every morning was convenient. We arrived after 11pm, and the man who checked us in was hostile and rude. The shower was setup in the corner of the bathroom with only a curtain, so water got everywhere. Though parking was listed as an amenity, they don't have parking or any association with local lots. We were directed to a nearby public lot. Breakfast consisted of a very thin, bland ham and cheese sandwich on regular, sliced wheat bread and a tiny, watered down juice.
Location is perferct! Kind and helfpul staff. It is nice that they offer hotel discount for parking services. No complaints.
