The staff were helpful and the rental vehicle was fine, a lot of miles on the car, but it drove well. My only surprise was the cost. I was quoted $187 for 4 days rental, but in the end, it cost over $330 with a lot of extra charges not included in the quoted price, including mandatory insurance of $20 per day and all sorts of taxes and fees. I would have preferred they included all of the expenses up front so I wouldn't have gotten sticker shock. El personal era amable y el vehiculo bien, llevaba muchas millas de uso, pero se conducia bien. Mi unica decepcion fue el coste. Me dieron un precio de 187 USD por 4 dias de alquilar, pero al final pague mas de 330 USD gracias a tarifas, impuestos y seguro de auto supuestamente obligatorio. Me hubiera preferido que me indicaran el precio total al principio para ahorrarme el susto.

Cons:

A/C in car was weak. Car interior had some cigarette burns. I was late, but pickup was quick and efficient. Followed all Covid-19 protocols. Friendly and efficient. Would rent from them again.

Not the greatest experience, the rental place is not inside the airport premises, its outside ,my flight coming back was at 5:45am ,almost missed the flight because there is not a place to drop off the keys ,no after hours services ,they provide a phone number and no one answered, BAD EXPERIENCE

Pros:

Friendly although slow service at the rental counter in Leon. Friendly and helpful service in Mexico City. At window had a big crack and there were a lot of scratches and dents on the car.

The car was not available when I arrived. They did not reserved it and rentvit out to other people. They offered something bigger, but at a very high price and nothing compare to what they offered online or when I made the reservation.

Cons:

The car should be illegal to rent. It was filthy dirty, had no wiper blades or windshield fluid, the steering wheel barely worked and the car vibrates when I went in excess of 30MPH. The airbag light was in so that also would not have deployed.

Pros:

Maybe I didn't reserve the car with enough anticipation because when I arrived to the airport, the agent said there was no availability. I was puzzled because I got two confirmation emails stating I had a car reserved. But the agent said I need to reserve at least 24 hours in advance. They had no cars available. I got no car. I had to call car insurance to reimburse me my money.

Cons:

Car agency and Kayak need to have better communication and coordination so the client can know what to expect by arrival.

Pros:

Nothing at all, it’s a rip off, they don’t give you options at all,car was dirty inside and out, no gas, not what I reserved, and the insurance I bought when made the reservation it’s NO good but theirs is the best!! I don’t understand if it’s a Budget franchise and they are all over the world the insurance from the USA and Bidget is from the USA some they make you buy theirs and make more $$ Now I have to call and get my reimbursement I hope I can get it back but I will NEVER rent from them again l

Cons:

The car pickup is not actually on airport as advertised, but a short drive away across the highway. Drop-off is at the airport. The car I got was in need of some maintenance. Various door lights came on and off while driving, with beeps. The handle to open the fuel tank is loose and pops off. The drivers seat was a little ripped. This vehicle was in need of some maintenance to address those issues or time to go to a lower quality rental agency, and an appropriately reduced price.

Pros:

It located in the airport. Thats the best thing i can honestly say about them.

Cons:

They did not have the car type i expected and had to drive a lower car. The car was not washed, and had a bad sensor where it was beeping every 10 mins. The beeping came from the open door sensor. Yet all doors where closed. Also i got over charged. They toldme one price and at the end om my 3 night rental the game me a different price. Please be diligent and have everything in writing. They tell you one thing and do another thing. Rule of thumb, check your final price before taking the car.

When we arrived late evening in Leon and went to the Europcar counter, our "reservation" didn't mean anything. The people in front of us were dealing with the same issue - there was one car, two of us with reservations, and both of us had a price quoted that was DOUBLE what our reservation said. (they added in insurance, a different location drop off fee and a commission, even though none of that was mentioned in our reservation). We ended up walking away and taking cabs for the week. DO NOT RENT FROM EUROPCAR and don't think your reservation means anything.

When I arrived to Mexico the MexCar representative didn’t find my reservation and didn’t honor the price I booked so I was forced to rent in another company. To make things worse I didn’t get reimbursed!!!

Trash service. Got forced to buy insurance even though I had my own. The insurance was more than the price of the rental. Added $437 (American) to the price of the rental. The vehicle was dirty. The brakes on the van were super worn off. Had issues stopping the van while driving. We got a flat tire. The spare was very cracked and also flat. We had to get the original and the spare fixed. The lug wrench is trash. And the jack to lift the van was defective. As I was lifting the van to remove the tire, the jack lost power and the van fell. Almost broke my arm. Overall a very bad experience. Would not recommend. Their vehicles are not well maintained and very dirty, to top it off.

I was told that the amount I paid at the time of registration was only a partial payment of the actual total, and was charged more than triple what I had originally paid. Their response was that I shouldn’t have reserved a vehicle through a 3rd party. Also it may take up to 30 minutes just to get the vehicle.

It was a new vehicle and roomy. The fact that they were ready to pick us up at the airport and drop us right off. I had also forgotten to check my pockets and give them back the key. The man that dropped us off was kind enough to come back to pick up the key. Thank goodness it only takes a minute when you drive :)

They don’t disclose that insurance will be outrageously expensive compared to the quoted price. You think you’re getting a car for $32/week, but it’s really more like $2000/week.

Surprise 100$ per day cost that was not disclosed at rental through kayak. Would never have booked this option and do not recommend for others. Go outside of kayak and stick to bigger companies.

Cons:

I usually go with Hertz because is a well known company and it gives me security. Unfortunately, this time Hertz was a disappointment the car that I rented was in an unsafe state. The tires where in such a bad condition that he refused to take the car. The other car they gave him had no cap in one tire. I just want to say that who ever is in charge anywhere they should take into consideration the safety and have all there cars well maintained.
