Customer service at the front desk was awful. They spent what felt like an extra 10 minutes aggressively pushing for me to upgrade my vehicle to something I didn’t need which would have more than doubled my rental. They used tactics like telling me I don’t know how to drive in the mountains, telling me the ALL WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE WITH SNOW MODE wouldn’t be at all suitable for the snow, and telling me that once the snow hits, it’ll be impossible for me to make it over the pass. When I responded to that last one with “I’m already staying in the other side of the pass, so that won’t be a problem,” she responded with a very condescending “well I guess you have it all figured out then, don’t you.” They were also aggressive with pushing the add ons that I didn’t need, like prepaying for the gas even though I knew I wouldn’t use more than half a tank, and getting the additional insurance. After inspecting the vehicle, we saw that the mirror and ski rack had some damage to it. They marked the mirror, but when we asked about the ski rack, they were very dismissive. The whole point of our trip was to go snowboarding. We asked about replacing the rack which he told us would take to long, we asked about getting a different vehicle which he said none were available, and when we asked if they at least had a lock for it so our snowboards wouldn’t just fly off on the highway, he simply looked past us and said “next customer in line please.” When we returned the vehicle, as we were leaving I saw one of the employees at the return shop kick the front right fender. I’m sure it was to get some snow off, but still, what the heck???

Got a nice vehicle, but the service was mediocre and the car was not clean.
The only complaint I have is that the SUV had little pick-up to navigate the mountainous terrain of Wyoming and neighboring states. It dragged going uphill. Rental cars for these areas should have larger or stronger engines.
It was terrible. No one notified me that Alamo no longer exists at Jackson Hole airport anymore. When I landed at the airport and went to pick up the car, there is no Alamo there. Kayak had made the reservation with them several months ago for me. But Alamo had stopped being at Jackson Hole and that was never communicated to me. I even called Alamo three times before my arrival to be sure they will have a car for me. They said that is you have the reservation through Kayak, you will have a car there. Terrible customer service on the phone with Alamo

Took forever to pick up car. Literally hundreds of people on line. Severely understaffed.
This company is not at the airport do you have to take a shuttle into town to pick up the rental. This was not clear when I booked the rental and it looked like it was at the airport. The car we got was dirty. There was dirty Kleenex’s between the seats, tons of finger prints and smudge marks on the screen, receipts in the drink holders, and sticky substance on the steering wheel. I had some Lysol wipes and ended up wiping the car down myself. Worst of all, there were TWO previous customers contracts left in the car with personal information clearly available . Now, I recognize the customer should have taken the contract out but if the car was cleaned properly, they should have been found at that time. When I told the guy at the return counter and didn’t really seem to care that the car was dirty. It also smelled like cheap men’s cologne so I had to drive around for a while with the windows done in the winter to air out the car. I won’t be renting here again.

They didn't let me rent because my brasilian driver license was not phisical, but only a digital version. Its 2023.
There had been a major snow storm and they gave me a vehicle with tires so terrible, I called to return the car an hour later. I didn’t get a return phone call that night so returned the car first thing the next morning. The tires were to the point of being dangerous. When I returned the vehicle, one employee walked by the vehicle and exclaimed how bad the tires were. They didn’t have anything in the fleet with tires good enough for me to take so I had to borrow a friends car instead. Snow storms are a common occurrence- it’s December. If your company isn’t willing to have sufficient tires, don’t rent in the winter months.
