10.0 Excellent
Pros: The little touches to the decorarion of the house are very appreciated. It felt very cozy and bright. I wish we could have stayed much longer!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is remarkably beautiful and relaxing. The hotel itself is extremely polished, with lots of exquisite decoration and a clean white and black theme. In a nice twist, some of the decoration items were available for purchase from their shop! Our room was squeaky clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was exceedingly helpful and polite. All in all, one of the best stays I've ever had.
Cons: Absolutely nothing. Full points.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was very comfortable, clean, and lovely surroundings.
Cons: We thought breakfast could easily be improved with a few "upgrades" to what was available and in choice, for what we'd paid, especially as this is often what people look forward to taking time over and enjoying the most at a b&b.
Hotell Stenugnen - Visby - Building

9.1 Excellent (246 reviews)
AED 364+

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such a helpful front desk. The location was absolutely perfect. Really appreciated the availability of evening tea and cookies.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazingly friendly staff that welcomed us by first name! Kindness is something that makes traveling memorable. Location is perfect walking distance to the ferry and a few steps to the historic town center. The room was spotless and super comfortable. The room is small, but we only stayed one night so it felt cozy and not cramped.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness was outstanding. Excellent breakfast. Coffee and tea available at all times. Such caring and helpful staff. Location was perfect.
Cons: The bathroom tissue was harsh. The directions for the elevator could be posted so the wrong (red) button doesn't get pulled and the whole thing put out of order until someone comes to fix it.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location and friendly staff.
Cons: A tad expensive- but we hadnt realised we'd booked in the very popular Medieval week!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was very cozy; breakfast was great and a lot of choices; location is perfect
Cons: Maybe more vegetarian/vegan options for breakfast
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful service.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, a short walk from ferry terminal, and just a block from the visitors center. (Don’t miss the museum - it’s quite impressive.) Breakfast is tasty and nutritious. Town (Visby) is small, charming and easily walkable. Hosts are especially helpful, and even took me on a tour of some of the island.
Cons: Nothing I didn’t like, but one unusual situation to prepare for is that if you arrive after 3pm, which most ferries do, you’ll let yourself in and not see your hosts until breakfast the next day! Not a problem, but unusual, eh?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was superb.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great stay here. Very convienient location to all the Visby attractions. Very modern yet warm space. Hotel staff were amazing. Loved this hotel, and wish we stayed longer.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cosy hotel with a personal touch in central Visby. Rooms and facilities very nicely furnished. Great location to explore Visby
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We had a very short but sweet stay at HVB- we would highly recommend it to anybody and everybody. We had a late arrival however this was taken care of when HVB sent text with clear instructions for a seamless late check-in. The courtyard around which the rooms sit was very calm and peaceful and we wish that he had had a little more time sit out and enjoy it. The room itself was a modest size however not by any means too small. The decor was simple but very chic. It looked like it had been renovated very recently and was pristine. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was very generous in size (again, chic and pristine) and there was a great little kettle, TV and fridge. The reception and communal areas of the hotel were very stylish and modern. We loved the artwork and decorations which added a great deal of personality to the spaces. Had there not been so much we wanted to pack in into our short stay in Visby we would have happily passed some tome in the communal dining and sitting area. The area would be a great place to work should you need to do so. The breakfast was wonderful and everything one could hope for in a buffet breakfast. There was a wonderful array of traditional breakfast components mixed with juice shots and smoothie drinks. The smoothie was probably the best smoothie I’d had in quite a while. The staff working in reception were very welcoming and helpful. They very kindly looked up bus options for us and came to help when I couldn’t manage to work the shower (I blame my own stupidity rather than the shower itself!) I can’t think of anything I would change or add to VHB and would definitely stop by again if I’m lucky enough to travel through Visby in the future.

Cons: The room was rather small, but otherwise nice.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: All good and functional with a nice room. Close to all the town action but far enough away to be quiet.
Cons: Parking could be a problem here and more information about the island attractions would be appreciated at checkin
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet, clean, comfortable with helpful attentive staff.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I liked the location. Very close to the old town and close to the commercial and touristical streets.
Cons: The rooms lack of AC. So it is warm in during the summer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, well appointed room and staff is exceptionally helpful- outstanding
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great comfy bed, luxurious room, great variety and quality for breakfast, extra thick curtains so that no light gets in even during Swedish midsummer, friendly staff (although sometimes the reception is unmanned and you have to look for them, but that was not a big problem), strategic and beautiful location.
Cons: Soundproofing. Was staying on the third floor, the door that leads to the corridor shuts with a great noise which made me jump from my sleep quite a few times. Internal soundproofing could be better in general (no issue with external noise however), which is quite hard to change, but at least they could start with changing the loud doors.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Old building converted to hotel. Wonderful atmosphere. Staff very pleasant and helpful.
Cons: All main floors served by elevator but outside staircase to the entrance hard to negotiate with a heavy suitcase.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We changed our arrangements at the last minute and the hotel staff managed to accomodate us. We were allocated a beautiful apartment not far from the Hotel. I cannot thank the staff enough for their hospitality and the ease of managing our booking.
Cons: We didn't spend enough time in Visby!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: very nice room, close to centre of visby, parking slots on request, good breakfast
7.9 Good
Pros: Perfect with carpark behind the hotel. Yoy need to book though.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, very friendly, lovely location and rooms - very welcoming and we really enjoyed our stay!
Cons: Should have a dedicated hotel staff - even if only for a specific time of the day, so we did not have to keep asking waiting staff for help. Parking access would be an asset
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I love this place, so cozy and comfortable!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Restaurant takes cash! (rarity in Sweden) Really nice oldy world style, cosy room. Recommended
Cons: No Parking at hotel but easy to find a place close by outside the city walls
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: there was no breakfast at the hotel or staff, we needed to go to another hotel
Cons: there was no reception, we did not get the key because it was no staff there, so it took long time
10.0 Excellent
Pros: U nTV The dinner was delicious, the patio charming, and the breakfast waffles were the best ever! The staff was courteous and delightful as well!
Cons: N/A
7.1 Good
Pros: Comfortable, convenient (central) "homely" accommodation. Very quiet (at this time of year, later half of September).
Cons: Although quite OK, we didn't realize that the breakfasts were at a nearby hotel (60m away) and there was no reception in the accommodation. The accommodation was attached to a restaurant and the restaurant staff gave us the key. It was fine for the quiet time of year but maybe less than satisfactory when during busy "summertime".
6.0 Good
Cons: Dirty towels left on the bed. Not washing the toalett.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room was great
Cons: The staff ignored us when we arrived despite seeing us there while serving another arrival. When wanting to order a drink in the bar later in the evening - we were sent to 3 different people and locations before being served
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent big room, beautiful interior design, big and comfortable bed, exclusive toiletry and very quiet and clean room.
Cons: Reception and how it works in a hotel that has no reception.
Chokladvillan - Visby - Building

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The host is so nice! We arrived very late in the evening around 1 am, since the ship to Gotland was very late. She waited for us until we arrived and guided us to the room. She has a big open-area garden. It's easy to park the car. We even saw a deer in her garden.
Cons: The toliet and bathroom is outside the room. Not convenient during rainy days.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Right next to the sea and beautiful view. Quiet and peaceful. 30 minute walk to the city center. You can use the mini kitchen and even make complimentary tea and coffee any time.
Cons: Not very many buses go past.
Best Western Solhem Hotel - Visby - Building
7
8.6 Excellent (1,083 reviews)
AED 301+
Overview Reviews
Welcome the Best Western Solhem Hotel - the most price worthy hotel in Visby, located outside the famous 12th century city wall in the midst of a beautiful park known as 'Palissadparken', just one step away from the city center of Visby. The beautiful harbor, the medieval town and Visby's many pubs and restaurants are all within walking distance, but not in any way interfere with the sense of calm surrounding the hotel. The Best Western Solhem Hotel has 99 rooms and three conference halls, with beautiful surroundings and warm atmosphere. We offer high standards and great service at a low cost. We have a limited number of rooms where dogs and cats are allowed at an additional cost. Please contact the reception for availability and price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All
Cons: They dont have insects net on the windows
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We liked the atmosphere, the very respectful and friendly gentleman and the lady who helped us multiple times patiently with recommendations about restaurants and places to visit.
Cons: We were recommended to rent a car from Mickes biluthyrning, but the woman at this office was very rude. She never asked what kind of car we want she just gave us the key to a car which later we found it to be very old and uncomfortable. It was strange that she did not ask us what kind of car we want!!! We paid 450SEK for one day for the car ( which is a normal price apparently in Gotland) and the next day when we arrived only 2 hours late to leave the keys to this lady she was very rude and angry and she charged us with 200SEK extra for 2 hours of delay. By this experience I would not recommend you to rent from Mickes office, there are other car rentals around, maybe you get a better service with them! Haa det bra och tack!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location was a short walk from the old town of Visby, which was convenient. It was also quite close to the harbour. The breakfast was standard Swedish fare, but the waffle-maker was a big plus. They had a very good selection of breakfast beverages too.
Cons: Our room wasn't completely ready by the time we arrived, but it was not that much of a problem. The breakfast area gets very crowded in the morning, so it's a good idea to go for breakfast early.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfy room, great breakfast & friendly staff. The hotel is well located & quiet at night.
Cons: The weather was hot so aircon would have been nice but it was fine to open the windows & use the fan.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A good location just outside the city walls.
Cons: The hotel feels a bit worn out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, awesome breakfast, free parking, quiet room.
Cons: They have a pool and a gym but in the other best western in town. But at least you are welcome to go there for free :)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nextdoor to citywall, walking distance to beautifull Visby old town and to ferry. Has nice atmosphere matching the Visby town, not just white and modern. Quiet location, we slept with outside door open. We had a comfortable room with great balcony which had sun untill late in afternoon. Breakfast is good and can be enjoyed on the quiet terrace outside. Parking at hotel.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location near the ferry. Felt very comfortable, not like a chain hotel at all. No problem using a BW gift certificate (in dollars).
Cons: Nothing, really.
8.3 Excellent
Cons: Poor shower pressure, noisy heater element, no sound proofing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: very clean, and pretty hotel. Very polite service
Cons: Average position (oppositrice side of the medioeval week, 20 min by walk)
Best Western Strand Hotel - Visby - Building

8.5 Excellent (1,228 reviews)
AED 393+
Overview Reviews
A first class hotel with a service minded staff and environmental certification. The hotel is located in the middle of the town, near the sea inside the city wall of the World Heritage town of Visby. Beautiful medieval houses and alleys in Visby surround the hotel. The Best Western Strand Hotel is the old Visby Brewery which became a hotel in 1982, from a family owned hotel with 13 rooms to one of the largest hotels in Visby today with 124 rooms and suites. Ferry and airport are within easy reach. Please note: Management reserves the right to refuse to provide accommodation to persons less than 20 years of age if no parents are attending.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was better than expected, and it was a nice surprise that we got veranda at the room - I think it was one of very few verandas in this building. Beautiful view to the ocean. Most of the rooms in this hotel would not have such view and varanda, but still - we will be back!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room, the spa, the games room
Cons: Breakfast could have stayed open longer
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location inside the old city walls. Parking on site. Sauna and indoor pool is nice.
Cons: Our room was on the 4th floor without elevator.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The personal was very friendly. They welcomed us nice and gave me tips about biking routes. They were very helpfull. Everyday they greet you when you come back. The coffee is free and one day the head of the hotel even cooked coffee for us personally. I felt very welcomed by them. Also the breakfast was perfect. Would definitely come back again.
Cons: My side of bed didn't have a table. Instead there was a big bookcloset where I could put my stuff on.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great place in the old city center. Breakfast was amazing and served in a really nice room. We arrived late at night and the staff at reception was friendly and nice and helped us find the car park.
6.3 Good
Pros: Right in the center of the old city center, easy to find restaurants. Our room is spacious, it is nice having a balcony facing the yard.
Cons: The quality of breakfast is not as good as other BW hotels in Sweden. The hotel seems short of staff, our first breakfast was hardly to find a clean table can sit, most of tables were full of used dishes and cutlery. About the room, one day we found that the towels were not provided and the following day our room door was unlocked when we came back in the afternoon, never had such kind of experience in a four star hotel!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was helpful, even though we arrived very late in the night (warning them before) and were always there for us with recommendations and advise for local activities.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location and beautiful building.
Cons: Small bed.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast - so many different, delicious things I wish I could have fitted two breakfasts in (or stayed another night). The bed was just right for me, not too soft or too hard. I enjoy when you can have a cup of coffee or tea without paying extra - Strand delivers on that as well. The hotel is spread over several buildings and all rooms seem to be different.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful and pleasant staff. The hotel has retained the character and charm of the original buildings without compromising comfort. Due to this, a rather winding route to find the room, which was excellent.
Cons: One of the two lifts required was giving trouble but was fixed quickly.
Hotell Visby Börs Sekel Sviter - Visby - Bedroom

8.4 Excellent (645 reviews)
AED 312+
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Hotell Visby Börs Sekel Sviter in Visby, you'll be near the airport, just steps from Gotlands Art Museum and 8 minutes by foot from DBW's Botanical Garden. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-out, and multilingual staff. Planning an event in Visby? This hotel has facilities measuring 2691 square feet (250 square meters), including a meeting room.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Amazing room. So much character and style.
Cons: In low season breakfast is served in another hotel. It’s only a couple of hundred meters down the street but anyhow. You should also change the hangers from the mix of crappy plastic ones from here and there to something a bit more in line with the rest of the experience.
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast old style furniture
Cons: Mattress too soft, similar to an hammock
5.0 Okay
Pros: Very good location in the centre of Visby. The neighbourhood is lovely. Our room was small but cosy and there was a big bathroom. The breakfast in the very nice medieval style room is copious and varied. The buildings are authentic and perfect for a medieval style holiday.
Cons: We were staying in the annex, which is in another street. No problem, but we got a wrong key and unclear directions. The receptionist would call us when we could check in, but she didn’t (although she had checked the phone number). The second day our room was not cleaned!! When we called the reception we had to get new towels ourselves (!) from another hotel a block away. Oh yes, and the jacuzzi that was mentioned by the receptionist didn’t work!! They were going to check it but we received no further news on that...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: - First, the staff! Lovely Ellen at the reception was so sweet and incredibely helpful! - The room we booked was unavailable so we were moved to a huge 3-bedroom apartment with a kitchen and a living room and so much space and sunlight (at no extra cost). It was AMAZING! - Breakfast buffet was delicious. - The decor, while slightly overwhelming, is pretty spectacular! - Everything was perfectly clean. - Perfect location, bang in the middle of the town centre.
Cons: While it's very well advertised that there is no wifi in the annex rooms, it would have been really useful!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Decor, staff, breakfast.
Cons: N/A
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Central location near Stora Torg, "Big Square" in Visby was great! a short walk from my room in the Annex. WiFi signal was good and quick in my room. Breakfast was great and the Breakfast room, in a beautiful converted small cinema, had free coffee and small biscuits/cookies way after the hours of breakfast. The staff was friendly and showed me all around the historic property. Jasmine and her mom at breakfast, and Susann at check-in, were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: I felt the mattresses were a little bit too soft in my room in the Annex. Also, because the Annex is about 300 meters from the main building (check-in/reception), it was hard to get my rolling luggage to my room because the entire Old Town of Visby is paved with large bumpy cobbles. I would love if the Check-In staff had a large-wheeled luggage cart with inflated tires that guests could borrow, perhaps against a deposit, that could be used to protect the small hard luggage wheels from the rough road. This is not a major issue and if you are staying anywhere in Historic Visby, your luggage wheels will take a beating from the streets.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: A lot of noice from drunk people....
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast, in the city center, lovely straff
Cons: To light in the morning, no aircondition so its getting superhot during summer
10.0 Excellent
Pros: IF you like antiques and history this will be the place Excelent in many aspects. Very cousi and unique
Cons: Kids
6.3 Good
Pros: We stayed in an apartment room, which had two bedrooms. The rooms were very spacious and it was nice to have a kitchen. The location was perfect for our exploring. The breakfast was very good and served in a very pretty and comfortable gathering area. Additional seating for our sitting room was provided when we requested it. The beds were comfortable. The staff were typically very helpful.
Cons: There were no doors on the bedrooms. One bedroom was situated in the living room space, and there was no place for a door because it was a very wide opening. The other doors were all simply missing. We did request they be installed, and were assured they would be, but they were not. Very difficult for privacy with three adults. The bathroom was dimly lit and there was mold around the tub/shower area. The furniture was all pretty run-down except for the beds. It was hard to cool the rooms down. There is no elevator and the steps going to the rooms are winding.

Cons: Everything was great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice breakfast selection & beautiful to sit out in the sun. Very nice quiet location & easy to walk everywhere.
6.7 Good
Pros: The location was really nice and the house has real atmosphere.
Cons: I skipped breakfast, it was pretty standard nothing special. The coffee was awful, like always in Sweden. The bathroom was quite nice designed, but not practical. I stood in the dark taking a shower, because the light-sensor was facing the other side. They don't hover the rooms while you are staying. In one room you can't open the window.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect and the design was charming and comfortable.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was really nice, very comfortable and we had a whole apartment for ourselves. The breakfast was excellent. Location is also really good, inside the city walls and close to many attractions.
Cons: Everything was fine, the only thing maybe could be that at certain hours the hotel felt empty of employees or people that could help, specially if you arrive and/or leave at night.
5.8 Okay
Pros: We had a dog with us so the location was perfect with a park right outside and also the beach. It was also close to town but not too close so it wasnt too noisy in the evening The breakfast was nice with good variation.
Cons: The coffe was not good, weak and tasted burnt. The bed was not comfy. The room was too small for teo people and a medium size dog. The staff weren't particularly friendly. No good mornings or hellos given..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast, loved my balcony and the location was amazing!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great room with a nice view and excellent breakfast.
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful garden. The Hotel is situated in a beautiful area close to the botanical garden. It is three minutes walk down to the sea where you can walk and enjoy the coast daytime and in the evening watch the sunset. It is nice and quite. Beautiful area. Beautiful scenery.
Cons: The room could be a little bit cleaner. And for breakfast all coffee should be included.
Overview Reviews
Donners Hotell, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western, situated in the heart of world heritage city Visby offers 52 modern rooms with high standards and family suites, a short walk from the sea, Almedalen, restaurants, shopping and other activities. Everything here is close, for a few days stay on the island you can experience both the shopping, dining opportunities and the peaceful countryside of Gotland.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Prime location in Visby, everything is in walking distance. Parking is a bit difficult, but in the low season you can park very close by on Tage Cervins Gata. Otherwise, there is a bigger parking in front of Gotland campus of the Uppsala university. There was always place there.
Cons: Silverfish, lots and lots of silverfish! I can handle 1 or 2... but when the lights go out, they are everywhere. The bed, the walls, the floor, the lamps. It was from a nightmare! There were dozens. The family room is in a building separate from the hotel. At first, the impression was great. It was a huge room with kitchen and washing machine. But by closer inspection the room is dusty and dirty. There is a table on in the room that somehow is covered in cotton and is filled with stains. There is no cleaning at all, and they don’t even come there to clean and to refresh towels. We asked, but they reply was: clean it yourself. It’s not stated in the room description, and this is misleading. The beds are bad. It’s just 2 loose beds with a matrasses and loose top matras on it. You are basically lying on the matrass itself which didnt feel hygienic. But the insects infested this building are the worst. We had to sleep with the lights on so they didn’t come out. It was horrid. The lady at the reception waved away our complaints, saying they are harmless and it is normal in Visby. Old buildings and such. We refused to spent another night in that building, After some pressure they gave us a deluxe room in the hotel itself, and guess what? No silverfish and daily cleaning! It was a LOT better than the family room. Large room, great beds, great matrasses. It’s like the family room is a failed B&B which they don’t care about. One word of advice, NEVER EVER make a reservation for the family room unless they rid it of insects. They way they treated us was unfit for a 4 star hotel, and I’m still very upset about it.
7.1 Good
Pros: The location was fantastic. Walking distance to both sea and restaurants.
Cons: The room was very small. The breakfast was OK but not great. I missed blueberries, strawberries for instance.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Läget.
Cons: no internet connection during entire stay despite several calls to reception, Food in the freezer on arrival, shower broken, bad and worn out bed, reception was not reachable several times, no proper check out possible due to no available personell, room in another building on the second floor without elevator (and a lousy description of the way), no information sheet in room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super Nice staff. Fresh and clean. 10/10 Will go agian.
Cons: Everyting is 10/10
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were here for the medieval week, and Donners Hotell was a wonderful place to stay in Visby. The location was excellent, within the city wall and opposite to the tourist center. Visby was small but full of magic, living in the center means that you are close to everywhere! The room was spacious and cozy, and most surprisingly we had a well in our room! The breakfast was really nice. Imagine how perfect it was to explore Visby from here after a good breakfast and end up here to have a nice sleep! It felt like time travel: in the hotel we were in the modern world, but a few steps out, we fell into the medieval times! Visby was and will always be one of our favorites:)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The receptionist was very helpful
Cons: Everything thing was good.
7.5 Good
Pros: location was great. rooms were clean and breakfast was good.
Cons: Internet was awful. Our room had a view of a neighbor's wall! bathroom amenities are too small and were not changed in the three days of our stay (though they were finished).
7.9 Good
Pros: Your breakfast was outstanding, so was your staff!
Cons: Great customer service
7.1 Good
Pros: The room was very small, bed was good and large.
Cons: Location is very good the old town.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Very central location close to everything but noisy at night until midnight. We had a family suite at the top floor attic. Not good for tall people. Nice sea view from window. Kitchen.
Cons: It felt like we were at Airbnb but not a hotel. Our suite wasn’t cleaned even once during 6 night stay. Dust bunnies everywhere on the floor. Smelly pillows and duvet. Attic ceilings for short people. Towels changed only once in 6 days. Garbage taken out once. Staff very sour, curt and not friendly. No fresh soap in the bathroom. Very expensive pretending to be 4 stars but just 3 stars. Would not come again.

Pros: Very convenient location for Visby and the airport. Room was clean and breakfast was nice.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was fantastic! The room and bathrooms were very clean. The check-in process was easy. It was peaceful and quiet and quite beautiful in the forest!
Cons: It is challenging to get to without a car. The bus runs infrequently and then requires another 10-15 minute walk. It wasn't a problem with proper planning but important to know ahead of time.
7.9 Good
Pros: The communial feel, the clean air and the breakfast!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable with a nice included breakfast and big kitchen.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful place to live. Wonderful breakfast, never imagined having kind of continental breakfast in a Hostel. Great staff. Very clean. It was way better than my expectations. Great value for money. Will definitely stay whenever In visit Visby. There is very nice kitchen as well with utensils so one could also cook.
Cons: A bit far from town (2.00 KM). We like walking so it was perfectly fine for us.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice small bedrooms. Nice and clean shared toilets. AMAZING breakfast and pretty common spaces. Lovely/helpful staff and very handy bikes renting.
Cons: It’s a little bit difficult to get there and to Visby city center with no bike nor car, as Gotland’s bus service is deficient. Maybe if some of the gests were a little bit politer it wouldn’t be a problem to have quiet moments in the hotel as we could hear everything what was occurring outside the room. People can be rudely loud. Not hotel’s fault tho.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lena, the host, was very helpful and did everything to help us! Also, breakfast was very yummy and with many options.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location, the staff. Especially Lena, who couldn't do enough for us. Gave us good tips of places to visit. Nothing was too much for her.
Cons: Car parking can be a bit tight at times, as it also has community sport facilities there.
7.1 Good
Pros: Nice breakfast and playground for the kids
Cons: Well managed, well maintained but not super clean when we were there

7.9 Good
Pros: Near to beach, Swimming pool, games for kids
Cons: Public transportation connections, Food options
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location is okay Parking Free Scenery is good
Cons: No coffee or tea in room Same breakfast menu Flies everywhere on food and certain foods not covered so I skipped the breakfast. Flies in room and have to chase out each time. Room chiller not cold enough and stopped automatically and need to on back as it was super warm in room feel the heater was on. I put the room cleaning notice but still not been done only once been cleaned. The price is costly but the service is just okay okay. The room service food menu is limited just few. No complimentary toilateries it cost 25kr for that, other hotels are free.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location and view to sea.
Cons: There was room for breakfast to become better.
6.7 Good
Cons: Bed was uncomfortable and gave us back aches. There weren’t enough pillows or towels. The toilet paper was rough and horrible. The food quality was disappointing. Limited options for food allergies guests. We were disappointed that there weren’t more options for breakfast such as different eggs made to order and smoked salmon on the weekends and vegan options.
7.9 Good
Pros: The location, within walking distance to the old town along the seafront The light filled room with the balcony The space and modernity The soundproofing When we avsked, they made us up a little take-away breakfast bag as we were checking out early
Cons: No surfaces to put things on in the standard room-the only place to put the kettle was a small, low and unsteady bedside stand No tea or coffee in the room- but we had our own- and when we asked for milk , we got it in a cracked glass which was difficult to pour from- this is an example of the general lack of interest and know-how we have experienced in encounters with Swedish hotel staff - in Stockholm, Gotland , Småland and western Götaland.
7.5 Good
Pros: The bungalow is lovely and quite comfortable and spacious. Cleaning everyday is included as well in the price which is great.
Cons: Our bungalow was close to the beach club which can be very loud. Fortunately for us we were at the end of the season it was only opened one night during our stay but if you’re going on season then won’t be the most quite sleep.

7.1 Good
Pros: I liked the Location
Cons: Breakfast could be better
6.3 Good
Pros: The location was very good.
5.3 Okay
Pros: Location is good, only 15 minutes from the old town of Visby. We rented bikes by the hotel, that was nice. Breakfast was good.
Cons: The rooms were quit small for the price we paid; we had 2 one-person beds of only 80 cm. wide, so I felt like falling out every time I turned. That is really not what we expected of a hotel we paid so much money for... In addition, we (two girls) thought this hotel was more for young people, but instead this hotel appeared to be a real family-hotel. We were very annoyed by all the shouting children, running around on the floor every morning and during breakfast and on the pool-site.
4.8 Okay
Pros: Staying at the Tott Hotel was great although the staff were very very slow, we had moments where we were waiting at receiption for a long time.
Cons: Slow staff.
6.7 Good
Pros: Bungalows are great with modern style. Fully equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, oven and dischwasher. Bathrooms with washing machine and dryer. Two terrasses (one overlooking the sea) with great seating and outside sofa. Swimming pool is not big but nice. Friendly and helpful staff (we had a few requests which were happily dealt with). These bungalows are ideal for families and for longer stays where you do want to make use of the equipment and cooking options. Great location withing walking distance of old town Visby and not far at all from the airport.
Cons: Food at the beach club and breakfast was OK but not great. Perhaps the kitchen is missing a micro wave oven.
7.3 Good
Pros: It looks brand new and is made according to the principals of modern scandinavian design. Very stylish, very clean very ergonomical.
Cons: I ordered an early breakfast at the reseption, because my ferry was at 7 AM, but in the morning it turned out, that nothing was prepared.

Overview Reviews
You stay at the best base from which to explore Visby. Right opposite the ferry terminal and within walking distance of the medieval town centre.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The facilities were excellent and although travelling on business, I took my wife and small dog along for the trip. We were made to feel very welcome and the "pet friendly" rooms were fantastic, with dog chews, blanket, bowls, and even poop bags provided. The breakfast buffet was super and the whole experience was really good. Normally I am not a fan of Scandic as a brand and tend to avoid them, however I would very much recommend Scandic Visby, especially if travelling with a four-legged friend.
5.0 Okay
Pros: - just the location.
Cons: -Less cleanliness. Could have even better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice small outdoor playground for children.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super breakfast! Pool, spa and sauna was highly appreciated.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable. Our third time there. Great breakfast!
Cons: The round mirrors on the restaurant wall were really dirty. Shame!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location for our last night on Gotland before getting early morning ferry - short walk across the road to terminal. Easy to walk into old town. Liked the photos of Gotland in bedroom!
Cons: Only one teabag!!
6.7 Good
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were new, close to the ferry, and easy walk into town.
Cons: Didn't realise they don't change towels or service the room at all Room was very small with two people, no air-conditioning so after three days needed a service.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: 5-minute walk from ferry terminal, perfect for using ferry. Not old-town scenic, as you do see the water but it's over the ferry terminal, parking lots, etc. 5-10 minute walk to downtown
Cons: OK place, but it is a big national chain with big facilities (several buildings on this property, so not so homey)
5.4 Okay
Pros: Great food. smorgesbord was good but could use some variety day to day.
Cons: They put me on the upper floor (3 level) of a building with very steep and narrow stairs and no elevator. I am 73 years old and the stairs were a hazard to me trying to manage a large suitcase. They apparently had other rooms in buildings that had elevators but the staff did not offer to move me to accommodate the dangerous situation that carrying my luggage put me in.

Pros: Small but cozy room, nicely furnished and clean, even had a sink and a tv in it. Really liked it! The usable kitchen was also appreciated, as well as the general cleanliness of the place including the bathrooms!
Cons: The breakfeast buffet could be improved. Some fruit other than melon would be appreciated, and also something like marmelade or chocolate spread for the bread, since they only had ham and cheese.
7.1 Good
Cons: It is Pizza restaurant outside and upper floor is repairing so it's quite noisy.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: There are very kind staff, when i said I feel cold, they changed other warm room. And if you have any family or friends, i recomend this place. They have bowling place and restaurant .You can have enjoy night in quiet gotland.
Cons: They manage some facility; restaurant, bowling, pool hall, so their staff is busy. And little noisy till 10pm.
9.2 Excellent
Cons: Wi-fi connection a bit slow.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Not so much.
Cons: Cheap place inside bowling place. Without air conditioning so I kept windows open, but that way I got smoke smell from outside. Cheapest IKEA pillows, very synthetic, so sweating in hot night like this. Liquid soaps in showers and no shampoo. Why? Never stay here again.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Clean
Cons: Far from city center
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Clean rooms with very nice beds. Good bikes for rent for only 11 euros a day, just a few kms cycle trip to a nature reservate south of Visby. Kept he windows open at night and loved the fresh seaside air of Visby.

Pros: Nice, small hotel, very friendly and corteous staff - only to be recommended
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Front-desk staff needed to be called in separately but their service was superb, The breakfast was original and cute, many small portions of different breakfast delights and all very fresh and healthy. A fantastic bed and good night sleep,
Cons: The baby crib was not suitable for a one year old or younger baby (mattress was of poor quality and it bent onto the baby's face), and as we mentioned this upon leaving the staff promised to fix the issue,
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We was happy with our stay there in general. The room was good, but quite small. The breakfast buffet and afternoon coffee was very good. The location is close to all, so very good.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: A very cosy hotell right in the middle of the old part of Visby town. The staff was very helpfull also with planning trips on the island. Good beds and a nice and clean bathroom. Plenty of spaces so sit outside in the garden. Since the hotell does not sell alcoholic drinks, you are allowed to bring your own and glasses are made available. Breakfast was plentiful and delicat. Coffee and tea is available all day. On the saturday we were offered tradisjonal safran pancake. Even ruins of an old church were part of the hotell.
Cons: The place was a bit hard to find even though the hotell had given us driving directions. Parking space was very narrow. Besides this there is nothing we did not like and we recommend this hotell for a stay in the beautiful little town Visby.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast, absolutely amazing staff, they give you free fika on Saturday afternoons, room was beautiful and very spacious.
Cons: The room was quite warm and there was no way to regulate the heat. Luckily windows did open.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, with the church ruin attached, garden to sit in. Staff very friendly and helpful, great breakfast with plenty of choice (smoothies were especially good). Nice and quiet but close to everything.
Cons: The room was a little warm, but that was because of a problem with the heating, which was if not fixed at least improved once I pointed it out.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I loved the location, next to the ruined church and the botanical garden . I loved the garden for sitting in if an evening. The staff were incredibly friendly too. Oh, and I like the free coffee.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was soooo helpful! Breakfast was over the top delicious and location was central and walking to city wall and tower was perfect.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Helpful, friendly staff. Äsa was a pleasure to deal with, providing information and guidance to make our stay very rewarding. The detailed and thoughtful amenities and the outdoor garden settings made relaxing at the end of the day entirely pleasant. Breakfast was excellent, both in range and quality of food. The location was also great, right next to the park and close to the cathedral and the Town square with well-stacked supermarket.
Cons: AC in room would have made the unusually hot weather during our visit more comfortable.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful hotel for families. The location is close to everything in medieval Visby, but also quiet and secluded. Our room was spacious for the 4 of us (2 adults, 2 young children), very comfortable & spotlessly clean. Breakfast was great- plentiful and delicious; staff courteous and very helpful. The children were thrilled with their "very own" ruin in the garden- able to play and wander around the ruined building of St Clemens. We were spoilt with the weather which added to the enjoyment of our wonderful Easter break. (Complete with Easter witches parade through the old town of Visby.)
Cons: There was nothing that we didn't like. Just as a side note, if you take a car, be prepared to leave your key, so they can manage the parking space logistics. We had no problems with doing that and it all worked fine, even with our 4 bikes on the car. The staff make it smooth and painfree for guests, but just wanted to mention this so you know what to expect. (The staff emailed us beforehand to also tell us about this, which was very good communication. As well as giving us very clear instructions on how to get to the hotel.)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: All the wonderfully warm caring helpful staff. History of the hotel and hotel itself. Lovely garden/courtyard. Access to one of the ruins directly from the hotel. Location. Breakfast & coffee/tea service throughout the day! I took my parents visiting from Tokyo to Visby and stayed here and they absolutely loved it!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great shower. Modern amenities with old Swedish flavour. Excellent breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff.
7.1 Good
Pros: Historic and authentic place, cozy atmosphere, great location, nice and friendly staff, wonderful, typically Swedish breakfast buffet.
Cons: Our room was extremely small, a bit cold and damp. The double bed was only 140 cm - if this was indicated at the time of my booking I missed it. I would not have booked it if I had known...

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great structure and position
Cons: Terrible mattress
6.3 Good
Pros: Lovely old building with nice public spaces.
Cons: Small room. Emotional pressure to not have your room cleaned. Photos suggest pool is included but in fact had to book and pay extra. Litter in the lift.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked: 1. How easy made the reception the check-in for us out of regular working time. 2. Organization, cleanliness and variety of things for breakfast. 3. Bathroom cleanliness
Cons: The bedroom's window could not be opened unless I had wanted other guests to see me. I mean when I was out of the bathroom of course.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location is great
Cons: It is dark. Not clean. Not very updated and not really good value for money. We Stayed in four different hotels when visiting Gotland. All at the same price but all of them with more service minded staff, and much nicer and cleaner rooms and facilities.
6.3 Good
Pros: The breakfast was OK, nothing special, not super duper. The location is very good, at most center part.
Cons: The room is smaller then on the pictures at the website, at least twice smaller. The hotel were cheating on the picture on the booking com - that's for sure. One of the reception girls were not very pleasant and at that moment when we just arrived reception were "understaffed" (lack of stuff and too many people in queue waiting). The other reception girl next day were quite nice, and helpful. The beds are too soft, and so the sleep is fine but my back asks for more harder mattress at the hotel bed. But the price/facilities value I consider is overpriced, but that's Sweden - everything is overpriced here in compare with other Europe. The swimming pool at SPA of the hotel you need to pay extra if you want to visit, at 4 star hotel! (terrible) In general Gotland is fine and the city look very nice, but it is very cold! We were freezing at the end of the June! When at my country (where I am from) it was +33, there at Gotland it were +14 in the morning and +16/17 in the day with freezing sea wind (all the days were like that, no exceptions)! Not the best place to visit at the summer if you want to get summer warmth, I was wearing autumn clothes to feel good, when at the same time Swedish were walking half naked, that was freaking me out (it is absolutely ridiculous to see how they build there resorts with swimming pools - this is complete waste at such a weather, I would never swim at 16 degree of the air, I am not a Baltic Sea seal or a seagull). And the most ridiculous is when I saw an aqua-park! It is open air and air was +15/16, it was like a fridge! Swedish were happily splashing in the water, when I was in long sleeve jacket with covered head, warm pants, socks and closed shoes. The cold wind was bone piercing, but Swedish consider its a fine weather, so they were swimming, no problem for them. I was shocked. Probably those people just had an reincarnation as a walrus in previous life's ;)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: the place is very nice old space with vaults and very nice furnishing and decoration the breakfast was really astonishing... some kind of perfect! the location allows to wander around the inner Visby town.
Cons: the bathroom sounds a little old and not as good looking as the rest the staff did not look for very much helping or satisfying us. They close the swimming pool quite early and really do not want to give you five mn extra to test it... then we could not swim, because it was closed all the time...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location!
Cons: Our room was facing toward the street and we could hear the sound of the recycling truck gathering glass bottles really early in the morning.
4.6 Okay
Cons: Only an internal window that would not open in bedroom. Lights didn’t work. Unhelpful staff. Very poor value for money.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The bar and hotel setting was very nice.
Cons: Difficult to sleep, rooms to warm and AC was very poor.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice service, good breakfast, nice located in the middle of old town
Cons: Nothing to be mentioned - it was perfect
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very central, only a few minutes walk to the Cathedral and main Square. There was an ICA shop (small grocery shop) near the Square where we bought our picnic lunch and then ate our lunch in the Botanical Gardens or the Almedals-park. If you go out to the restaurants it is VERY expensive, we never paid under 500 SEK for an evening meal. The hotel was very good, nice, friendly staff, good breakfast, clean room and bathroom, change of sheets and towels after 3 days.
Cons: The TV reception was very poor, couldn't watch it. The hotel was in a very quiet location but why are other guests so inconsiderate? Talking loudly in the corridor when they come in at 1-3am and slamming the doors. But, of course, that's not the fault of the hotel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast, relaxed comfortable atmosphere in hotel.
Cons: Room was rather cold when we arrived as previous occupants had turned radiator off.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great staff. Basic hotel, has everything you need for a short stay - good breakfast, tea and coffee
Cons: The room was a bit too warm without the fan on. It would be good if there was a net behind the curtains (for privacy when you still want daylight in the room)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff
Cons: The breakfast on MONDAY WAS RATHER poor in comparison to Sunday.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: They organised a new room for us when our original room had separate beds across the room. The lovely staff also pointed out vegan alternatives at breakfast for us and even went and bought some vegan yoghurt for the next morning. The location was so central and easy to walk around and see many amazig sites. It's also close to the ferry terminal and also the bike hire shop. We hired bikes and went along the coast. Such amazing views. Coming back to the hotel was so comforting after a big day out.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is great. I liked that it was largely Swedes staying there. It gave the feeling that we were getting a Swedish experience and not the Holiday Inn idea of what travellers want.
Cons: The bed was creaky and a bit too soft
7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel was in the middle of the walled town so in the centre of everything. the staff were very helpful. The breakfast had a good variety of delicious options.
Cons: As mentioned above the the sloping ceilings in the room making moving around very awkward. As a short person I found a lot of the things for breakfast were out of reach on high shelves.
7.9 Good
Pros: We were travelling with a 3 years old and a newborn baby and they extended our checkout until 14.00 since our boat was leaving very late on the last day!
Cons: The kitchen staff wa not so friendly.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable rooms, not to big, but everything you need is there. Very helpful and friendly staff. Easy accessible with late arrival. 15 minutes walk from the Ferry.
