Phoenix hotels near Herberger Theater Center

Cons: The bed were extremely uncomfortable, the room smelled very strong like it was painted, not good with kids. The interior of the room was not luxurious at all. Flat panel hollow core doors, basic trim. The putting green was not kept up all, it had weeds everywhere, the cups were not trimmed, the ball could barely get in the whole it was so overgrown. It was an extremely dated property. It appeared they tried to update some things like bathroom sinks and shower tile but severely missed the mark with everything else. I received a discounted rate and it still was not worth near the money I paid. I left a day early even though I was paid for 3 days. I didn't get a refund as wasn't offered any compensation of any form. Very disappointed and will never stay there again.

Cons: The beds were not so comfortable, the pools were ALL very congested and the water in them was HOT, very likely over 100 degrees. "Soupy" is the term that comes to mind. It was not exactly what you expect to dive into in the middle of the Arizona summer. I am still not sure why they charge a resort fee, we didn't see any amenities other than what you would expect at any other hotel.

Cons: This "hotel" felt more like a motel at luxury resort rates

Cons: Booked the hotel and tried to cancel a couple hours later. Priceline spoke with the front desk manager and they refused to allow me to cancel. I understand it's in your fine print but it's just bad business practice to take someone's money when the reservation was JUST made. It's not like it was booked for months and the room was not given to someone else because of my reservation. I am the CEO of a moderately sized company and travel to Phoenix 5-10 times a year and send hundreds of clients to Phoenix. I will make sure no one stays here. Good thing you kept my $500.

Cons: The pillows and bedding was too soft...no neck or back support in the bedding. Other than that, a wonderful stay...I would stay there again next time in Phoenix

Cons: I did not like the design of the shower, where it was only partially enclosed with a glass wall, where water could spray out onto the bathroom floor. The mattress was a little hard, and the pillows were a little flat.

Cons: While I didn't mind, some may be put off by the need to leave the hotel and cross the plaza to access fitness center and breakfast. Both are well worth the "inconvenience"

Cons: Our room's thermostat was not working right. Our room at the lowest temperature was freezing but at any higher temperature our room would be way too hot. There was no door on the shower which caused water from the shower to get on the bathroom floor, making it slick and a fall hazard. Our bed had no sheet, just the comforter and a small throw blanket. We had to request a sheet and add it to the bed ourselves. We had a very difficult time getting comfortable enough to sleep.

Cons: No smoking. $140+ rooms but $27 just to park in garage. And no the hotel doesn't pay for it dicount it or validate parking. This was a bummer.

Cons: Would have liked to have had a magnifying mirror in the bathroom for putting on my makeup but there was lots of light.

Cons: A larger swimming pool with shaded areas would be nice. Otherwise, no complaints.

Cons: Decided to stay in instead of going out and the bar staff at the hotel was horrible waited 15 minutes for first drink and then couldn't remember what the drink was. It was super expensive and staff not very personable

Cons: The Concierge Room is advertised as being for guests with rewards points at the Platinum or Gold level plus one guest. The hotel opened the Concierge Room to hundreds of pre-teen and teenaged girls unchaperoned, competing in a national ballerina event in the city. Business and professional guests very disappointed.

Cons: Limited menu for dinner. Outdoor chairs and tables are great but had bird droppings on them.

Cons: The gym is very small and they were renovating so you could hear work being done and the elevators were really slow.

Cons: The breakfast experience was awful. The breakfast room was unbelievably confusing. There were paid groceries interspersed with maybe-free stale bagels with cheap-diner packaged condiments, horribly awful coffee with cheap-diner packaged cream, interrupted by a window selling tiny fancy food cartons. I have never been so confused for a hotel breakfast, and although we choked down a piece of bread and took some really bad coffee to throw away at the parking garage, the breakfast experience seriously marred an otherwise great experience.

Cons: Convenience store appears to be congregation site for homeless etc. and I would not go there at night.

Cons: The only complaint that we had was that there was some construction going on that started at 530 am, which woke us up way earlier than needed.

Cons: Close to airport and tramline, meaning constant background noise. Hallway and adjacent rooms also conducted lots of noise.

Cons: Rundown dingy with homeless people and prostitutes hanging around. Very noisy. Towels, when you could get them, were dirty gray and Iike sandpaper

Cons: The front desk staff we were very rude. They insisted that the room was not paid for even though I showed them proof that I prepaid. As a result of the lack of customer service, I did not check in to the hotel I will never book at another Aloft property nor would I recommend this hotel to anyone else.

Cons: Way understaffed. Hotel restaurant closed at 4:00. No room service. Terrible

Cons: The gray haired gentleman with a mustache that was on duty late that evening was very rude.

Cons: Room was so far from the lobby we had to drive to the lobby to have breakfast!

Cons: The only thing I would say is the wifi was giving everyone trouble had to pay but the staff refunded me the money just wish is was simpler.
