Pros (+) For the price, I was pretty sure it was going to be a hostel-type room, but it wasn't! While quite small, it was just what I needed.
Cons (-) The fire doors slamming.
Pros (+) Excellent location near Carnegie Hall and Central Park. Nice Italian bar and restaurant right next door. Metro stop just around the corner. It worked nicely for our short over-night stay.
Cons (-) Room was very small: we would not like having to spend time indoors. No lobby for lounging. Not a good place for an extended stay.
Cons (-) The light wouldn't stay on in bathroom, no remote, one bed up against wall so it's hard to get into. Basically clean. Pitiful breakfast.

Pros (+) My 7th floor room was not much bigger than the bed. Which was perfect - I'm not staying for some living room-sized place. It was clean, it was a block from Central Park and 5 min walk to the M line, and it was crazy affordable compared to typical Manhattan prices. And the front desk guy was pleasant and helpful. Definitely would stay again and recommended to a coworker.

Pros (+) the location is good. We had room 414 which does not have a view to speak of, unless you like walls, but it was quiet. The a/c unit provided white noise, I guess. The room is just large enough to accommodate a full-sized bed and room to get around. There was a large walk-in closet in the room though for luggage storage. The bathroom is the size of a broom closet, but the shower worked and the toil...
Cons (-) The mattress on the bed was rather plasticky and noisy - you hear every turn and movement. Bring earplugs. Don't expect anything luxurious. There's no hairdryer in the room. Perhaps at the front desk? We didn't ask.

Pros (+) The price for the location was incredible! The room is bigger than the Hudson hotel. The bedding and carpet outdated but bathroom and TV were new. The staff were great and accommodating.
Cons (-) They have plastic pillows! There is a rubber coating on the pillows so when you move your head you hear a cracking sound. Very strange as I have never seen this before....
