Manchester hotels near Manchester Cathedral

Cons: We booked a suit got there realized it was small, stayed 2 nights and took an extra room.Day 3 we booked a two bedroom suit which really isn't it's just them bringing two rooms together.We were shown a suit with a balcony & since my artist is super claustrophobic and has a lot of luggage we agreed to that.Upon going to pay they claimed someone booked that particular room for 2 nights and we booked it right with them less than an hr ago for 3 nights.These super racist hotel people just because the person was black almost even lied they never showed us the room.We left the hotel and booked a huge 3 bedroom penthouse suit somewhere else.Mind u we had no issues we these people we just decided to leave after realizing it was more of a racist thing, I forgot to mention their services suck, they barely help with anything like umbrellas and opening doors smh we never even had a conversation with any one except the manager the day we left but go this email today claiming we were rude to their guests.

Cons: Needs investment certain things looking old now, my first stay years ago was very impressive it seems more like a 4 star now and the little touches aren't there like before.

Cons: My room needed refurbishment. Everything was a little old and tired.

Cons: Have had larger rooms

Cons: The facilities were lacking, you have to pick up iron and ironing board from reception yourself. They should be brought up to you, especially in an executive room. The room/hotel layout is very confusing.

Cons: Breakfast was horrible, absolutely below standard.. There was almost none of healthy food available.. No cheese, ham, vegetables, porridge, berries.. Rooms were ok but there was no minibar, no storage facilities to clothes and bed was really soft which for us was not the preference -> Difficult to sleep long time since lower back was hurting after few hours..

Cons: Bathroom sink was blocked. The hotel (along with all others in the area) massively inflated its prices just because there was a Muse concert on. In my view this is appalling practice and doesn't encourage brand loyalty on my part.

Cons: The lobby had one working lift and looked more like a backstage area. Only one lift worked which took an age to arrive. Annoyingly I was on eighth floor. Air conditioning was also broken in my room. Hotel ignored feeeback email. Wouldn't recommend

Cons: The Parking was extortionate in price, not that there was any space to park which was ridiculous! Got to the hotel and found out there was a £20 charge for using the spa facilities which were 4 tiny rooms which were not appropriate in terms of temperature as you would expect a steam room or a sauna to be! There was no pool or other spa facilities apart from these 4 rooms for which the price was ridiculous! The lady at the spa reception didnt charge us thankfully as less than 10 mins into the quite dim, squashed and awfully miniature "spa" me and my husband were out of there very disappointed in having paid extortionate prices for the stay and then the parking issue and then on top of that the sadly tarnished expectations of the spa! We left the hotel the same night we checked in without staying at the hotel just flavergasted with the lack of explanation in regards to the facities and staff demeanour and attitude.

Cons: Lifts are very temperamental, should be more efficient

Cons: Homeless camping across from the hotel, front of most room windows

Cons: Noise from airport, could do with better soundproofing

Cons: Long long walk inside hotel from front desk to our room on first floor. No free Wi-Fi...had too walk across the street to the terminal to check-in for flight.

Cons: AC didn't work. Phones weren't working. Internet was in and out.

Cons: Seemed as if planes were taking off over my head when I first arrived but they stopped after 10 pm

Cons: No free internet

Cons: Had a hard time finding it, but thanks to the kindness of strangers, I eventually did.

Cons: The choice of cold meat at the breakfast could have been better and the plates were about the size of a side plate. But for a budget hotel in the centre I think these are very minor points.
