Location is good. Not far from the train station and not far from St. Lourdes.
The staff were helpful, and the room was neat, tidy and clean. The restaurant had good food although a bit pricey.
la posizione no hall , no bar
View fom the room As i work in the hotel business myself i was appalled to see that there was no night porter on duty during the night. I came back from being out at 2am in the morning went to my room to open the door keycard wouldn t work. I had to sleep in the lobby on one of the couches for 4 and a half hours before reception staff came in to do me a key for my room. I was so annoyed. I asked for a reduction in the rate so that was agreed on my last night. If there was a fire in the hotel i dread to think what would happen as there is no night porter on at night in the hotel.
Prime location, across the street from the train station and very close to Lourdes Grotto. We took the TGV from Barcelona and had two transfers. Lovely staff. Excellent buffet breakfast. Lourdes is heavenly and one of the highlights of our 14-day European trip.
Cleanliness of rooms and staff were so friendly and helpful. Food very good. Hotel directly across from Train Station for ease of travel. No.
The staff. Dog friendly. Small overpriced rooms
Very close to TGV train station in Lourdes. Beautiful exterior facade in historic old building. Well maintained and very clean. Small, poorly decorated rooms with uncomfortable beds. Long walk to Lourdes Grotto and not close to any decent restaurants.
Nice bathroom. Being able to sit on the terrace to have a drink, nice view Yes, the food, it was too international and not very well cooked or presented. We were 'lumped together' with a large coach party despite being independant. It would have been nice to have eaten in the other dining room, but it appearaed closed, although I did not ask.
Our second time staying at Best Western Lourdes especially for comfort and parking and convenience to the Grotto.
The lovely staff, patio dining and pool. I was a bit disappointed with the quality and decor of the bedroom, yet the bathroom was fine.
Only the fact that it's close to the train station. We have booked a triple w/ 1 extra bed as stated per hotel policies & wrote this in the remarks section & asked for confirmation (2 adults & 2 kids), but nor Booking.com nor the hotel manager have read the comment or took it into consideration, so upon arrival & after a long journey from Paris, the assistant manager told us that they can't put extra bed in a triple room so we have to manage or they give us a bigger room for extra money which we didn't accept because the rooms do not match w/ the price (overpriced, extremely small versus other hotels in the area)+ it was not a decent solution at all, they should have replied to our comment for the bed before arrival so we decide on our budget & Not having a surprise. After long argument & keeping the kids tired waiting for more than 1 hour, we asked to talk to manager, she (assistant) told us he's not there. After insisting,he showed up & again argued & end up by suggesting a smoking room which was full of cigarette smoke & you can hardly breathe (very healthy for kids)Of course we didn't accept. We asked to go to other hotel but said they will take anyway the price for the room even if we don't stay. They had empty family rooms not stated in the site which we saw but wanted us to pay more money than confirmed upon booking.FINALLY, They gave us a room w/ 5 beds which we didn't need,on the roof, that was worth a 1 * HOTEL:shower on your knee so u don't hit your head w/ the ceiling,
The Restaurant Family room are very small and not comfortable at all
close to the train station, front desk is open late and the staff are very helpfull.nice view nothing
very friendly staff, had some problems with the car, they helped us much
The extremely warm reception we received throughout our stay. For the price and hotel category the value for money was unbeatable and we will certainlly recommend to others and will return each year. Nothing of any importance.
easily accessible for town. FAirly old fashioned but ok accomodation. Parking very tight behind the hotel -but at least there was parking!
The reception was late open, that was imported for us because we came late bij TGV out of Paris.
the hotel was close to the Railway station which was good as we had an early train out of Lourdes. the hotel served adequate meals. The hotel closed at midnight, which we did not expect, so no late trips to the sanctuaries as we had to rush back before midnight. The hotel bath tub has no shower curtain all the water spilled on to the floor while taking a bath, made the bath all wet. The room had only one plug point so we could either watch Tv or charge our cell phones camera etc.
The room had a big balcony facing the main road , wonderful to sit and sip wine and watch the world go by. Excellent location.
Its location which is only a walking distance to the Sanctuary & in the main street (for shopping) Room size and comfortability (too small)
Friendly English speaking staff The breakfast was hardly a breakfast.
The sheets and towels were clean. It was very close to the grotto which was convenient as we had gone to visit the shrine at Lourdes It was very noisy.
Just the fact that it is just a few minutes away from the Sanctuaries and restaurants are near. It was stinking in the bathroom the first time we entered, and stayed that way until we left! i cant say it was clean anywhere, even the stairway. it was only the lobby that was bright enough to see! carpets are dirty, room was dark. never to stay here again and not to be recommended.
The room very very small and was not clean
Value for money, proximity to the Lourdes Shrine None
Great hotel staff...very friendly and the service was first class.
I like the location and a frinedly staff, but the room is stuffy.
Convenient. Visit the Grotto in a short distance. Right in the center of shopping area.
The hotel staff is very friendly even though their English is very limited. The man at the reception was so kind to even dial the phone to return the call of my sister in the United States who called very early in the morning while I was still asleep. The hotel is also a near walking distance to the train station. The bath towels are small...just a bit bigger than hand towels.
Staff was very friendly. Rooms were simple but clean.
We had a trouble using the door locks. Thus, you will have a feeling that you are not safe and secure. Also, on the website, it indicated free WiFi. Apparently, there is no WiFi. You will be given a wired gadget that does not even work.
The price is very affordable and reasonable. Elizabet who greeted us and checking us in is also very nice. The bed and the key to the room look old/run down.
breakfasts; location close to the station; quiet; bathrooms (to all rooms) no tvs in rooms
The shower Not even basic amenities such as kettle or beside lamp provided. Cheaper hotel next door looked far nicer. Staff unpleasant and made us look through a rubbish bin for our booking sheet. Matress less than 1 inch thick.
The street numbers are ridiculous. they are not consecutive. We had a difficult time finding this hotel.
Good price, clean room, hot water... not a bad deal for staying for just one night... but don't have much expectation on the facilities, it's pretty much like a dorm room. The location is very difficult to find as it's deviated from the main street, even local people can't tell the whereabout of the hotel. Don't recommend to arrive late at night like us.
Hotel is simple, but the staff was very nice and helpful, and tried to do there very best for us. And they do speak english to. Free Internet connection.
in town centre. room condition not clean. desk top smelly. furnishing very old.
I cannot say enough about La Fontaine. Very impressed. Recommend it highly. The hotel was spotless. Staff were friendly and helpful. M. Cantin could not do enough for me. He booked a tour and sorted out problems with it. He had suggestions on sites to go, maps, directions... just incredible. Upon seeing his rates for demi-pension, I switched to eating there for two days. I could not eat at a restaurant for that price. The food was wonderful. At breakfast I got a one litre carafe of chocolate, and super-size croissants. Lunch and supper were three courses and far more than I could ever eat. If there is availability here you do not need to look further for a great hotel Not really. The beds might have been a little lumpy, but what do you expect for that price? I expected alot less than what I got!!!!
It was like a pigeon hole-hardly any room to move. it just about served as a roof over the head. the breakfast provided was not cooked.
assistance of M.Canton-the owner. breakfast is too little
The way the hotel received us was fantastic will recomend and will for sure stay again when i plan my next visit stayed only couple of hours , so didnot notice much
Nice Owners and helpful. Pleasant staff, also. I found a gem. When I come back to Lourdes, I'll stay here.
Very pleasant staff and helpfulness. Will be stay9ng again next year.
Well positioned in the town for the station, town itself and for religious services at grotto.
The gentleman host was charming and very kind and it was an excellent location to the holy sites of Lourdes and excellent value for money.
Mr. Canton was very helpful.
It was clean ,comfortable and near to Grotto, and railway station, Staff very friendly and efficient. no
Value for money, and warm welcome
It is iedally located and clean. elevator, heater
The price. 69 Euros covered room, a breakfast for 2, and parking (reserve the parking--that part of Lourdes is a parking nightmare). It's quiet and away from the streets that are filled with pilgrims buying trinkets. It's about 1.2K from the action, so walkable. There's a laundramat about 400 meters away at 55 Rue de Bourg. Wi-Fi is free. For the price, do not expect a large room or fancy fixtures. Also, only one electrical outlet outside the bathroom. I would recommend it only if you are looking for an inexpensive place to stay.
Staff are very helpful and courteous. especially nite staff. I feel bad idid not give tips for house keeping and day stafff, I was excitted that finally the airport open and I forgot. I wished its closed to the airfprt, I could stay there or recomend. Too far from the airfort, I have to pay 65.00 euro for one way.the face in the bad room tiles is scary. I tried to ignore while im showering. my friends complained that too.i used the phone to call airline bec.if its open, iwas charged 3x. airline put me on hold too long, its not my choice
Location was good Staff were unfriendly and disinterested
The dining room was pleasant Bathroom was rather basic and you had to hold the shower as no wall hook. We would have liked to have eaten in their restaurant, but could not as they said you had to book in advance even though the restaurant was not full.
the hotel was central for everything.
It is the hotel's location. Easy access to the city's main attraction which is the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes and the bus/train station's five minute walk. The staff was very helpful. Nothing
