bad, booked 48hrs in advance pickup at 790 southwest marine dr. was set for noon on saturday, ...they were closed and close at noon on saturday..?? called at 11:45 AM on my way there and no one answered so called customer service when I arrived at the closed location, was told that they had no more cars available there anyway...?? was told that i should go to the airport and and book again for 50$ more..?? LOL was told that's the way it works nothing can be done for me even though they obviously messed up... needed a car so went to the other location and there they are refusing payment and can't process my card for whatever reason... don't ever use this service or it's products, just go to TURO it seems as to not deal with any of that BS. I was charged twice by Allianz Insurance for car insurance after completing my Kayak reservation. I did not know I was double charged at that time, or at the time I returned my rental car. Upon returning the car, I was also charged for insurance by Enterprise Car Rental. Kayak, Enterprise and Allianz have been not helpful or forthcoming in my attempts to get my refunds. I am very unsatisfied with the booking process and feel like if borders on scam territory. I will now spend more of my time and money making calls, trying to get my refunds. Very frustrating.

There was confusion as to which car was being rented to me. Took me to one vehicle and then changed to another.
I liked the fact that they gave me a free upgrade to the vehicle I requested. However, there was very little communication or indication that the pick-up location would be closed at 5pm and there was no after hour pick-up number or anything. I came a half hour later and then had to book another hotel with my son and come back the next morning to pick up the car. When I asked if my drop off location was directly at the airport they said yes. However the day of my drop off I checked the address in my itinerary and it is NOT at the airport. Very annoying!
The drop off agent was exceptional. The pickup process was poor. One agent with 6 people in que. one customer took 15 minutes. Finally two additional agents stepped in. Accelerated fast check in did not work for me. Car had a lot of minor scratch marks which I don’t care about other than concern of being charged. The biggest issues is after 10 minutes of leaving I received a low fuel notification and had to find a gas station. I was expecting a full tank.

The experience was very good, the car was excellent quality, the service at the Alamo counter was very good, and the instructions were clear. I will definitely use Kayak again.
