Staff very friendly, professional and prompt in accommodating requests. Do Not Disturb sign and. Make Up Room sign practically identical. If one grabs Do Not Disturb sign at night one can easily grab wrong sign (as I did) and be awakened early by the maid thinking I wanted my room cleaned. Very aggravating!!
The hotel is well located, walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The staff is very kind and the rooms are clean and affordable. no complaints
When we checked in we did not get the room we had requested. The check in agent was not willing to change our room. We had to get the manager to help us. He made the changes that were needed and we were very satisfied. After that the manager checked with us each day to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. At the end of our 3 day stay the manager even got our car out of the garage. The garage that the hotel uses is just awful. very tight corners, and hard for out of town guests to maneuver. They should find another garage to use.
The location was excellent. The bed was to small.
location room was very noisy, no breakfast included, had to pay for carpark, not good value for money
Nothing Room, Bathroom facilities, lack of heating
Location Room was very hot (it was the middle of Jan!!)
calm / kindness
convenience, cleanliness and efficiency. perfect location, great parking. Stayed here several times and cannot find any fault to report
This was a lovely hotel in a great location. The staff was great & rooms were very clean & comfortable. We loved that you could walk to everything-restaurants & shops in one direction & just over the bridge the Salthill Promenade for a beautiful walk. We arrived on the weekend & it's kind of a party town on Fri & Sat. We loved it but when return I think we'll come Sunday thru Thursday.
The hotel is wonderfully located very close to the center of Galway and all activities. while being a 1-10 min walk from anything you could want, its also quiet. The staff was very nice, helpful and friendly. The beds were fairly uncomfortable, the amenities are not terrible new, but are current enough to satisfy and certainly high quality in galway.
The location is great, right in the city center and only 15 minute walk to the beach and it is a very clean and comfortable. Stayed here be fore and would stay here again the next time I stay in Galway.
On saturday night they downgraded me to a worse room
great location and an outstanding restaurant.service second to none.rooms a bit small but its hard to fault this hotel.
Clean, smart, friendly ... good customer service and nothing to grumble about or spoil relaxation. Nicely fitted out Parking arrangements are a bit of a drag
I really enjoyed no
The room was beautiful. very nicely decorated.
Great hotel, excellent staff, central location, and a really nice Christmas atmosphere created in the hotel. We have been to Germany for the last three years at this time and I would have to say that the House Hotel surpassed any the hotels in Germany that we stayed in for both value and ambience. In one word ,none.
The comfort of the room was excellent. It was also very quiet - no traffic noise at all.
The lobby/seating areas were very comfortable and relaxing. Staff excellent. Rooms a little small
this is one of the best hotels i have stayed in i asked that the towel heater be looked at as it was not working and they told me it would be looked at and never was so that was dissapointing.
It was very comfortable, luxurious and the food especially the breakfast was lovely.
Close to centre. Friendly helpful staff. Food is grate. Room was far to hot to sleep in. If not there early parking is a serious challange.
between oil tanks and scrap heep
Staff with very poor english
Beautiful room and location also ideal for city centre
Very central location, free parking 24 hours, some of the hotel staff (Jennifer) Rooms did not have all the facilities I expected (fridge, mini-bar...), not very nice toilet, tea-pot dirty with limescale, some staff were not friendly... I think the fare is too high for an average hotel
Location Breakfast - some items under cooked and not very nice. Directions not very good - it would be helpful if the roundabouts were named for those coming from different directions.
Stayed here for one night. Hotel and staff are nice but no different to your average hotel we paid E200 and felt it was far too expensiv for a view of a wall. Towels in the bathroom were stained with dirt. Parking cost e8 for the night and someone had tried to steal my car and there is no CCTV
breakfast room too crowded at times
the place was really clean, welcoming and the comfort was great. great bar food as well. the service in the bar was slow, (maybe just a once off though)
5 mins from centre, view from room of car park, restaurant closed, steam room not working.
Dominic the owner was simply fantastic went out of his way to help me a number of times The noise outside - I stayed on a Friday night and the hotel overlooks a busy night life scene - was very noisy but I imagine this would be fine on a weekday night
We were not allowed to stay because we arrived at 1045-11pm...they had no one to open the door and forced us to book elsewhere
Loved the location. It´s the perfect experience for a weekend break in Galway.
beautiful, stylish, brand new b&b in the heart of galway city center. we loved it. Being so central some rooms might be noisy because of the pubs on the street. Separate hot and cold water.
Lovely small hotel , i really like the decor and how tastefully some of the original features were restored, room was lovely, bed and bed linen luxurious and very comfortable, staff very friendly. i thought the room was a bit small. and some of the services like iron & ironing board & hair dryer werent in room as described, also no wardrobe for storing clothes,
Location was great and the staff was very friendly. Parking had to be paid for in the lot across the street.
Lovely, clean room and bed The ad said there was parking available - there is NO parking attached to the hotel. Visitors are instead forced to use a carpark across the road (~20 euro per day) or one at the cathedral (~5 euro per day, but impossible to find a space).
It was a nice room - and quite clean It was on a busy street (with lots of restaurants and bars) - so it was quite loud at night
Very central, really nice bar downstairs, would stay agin. Would have liked a softer bed, the whole place is very narrow but its a great location.
very colean, beatiful and large rooms funny
easy excess to the city centre no
My bed was wet due to a leak in the roof. There wasn't another room available. So I spent my night in the half of the bed which wasn't wet.I also found the room to be dusty and generally of poor quality. I complained shortly after arrival and received €40 back in the morning. However I felt badly treated and that your staff wasn't properly trained.
The genuine welcome, the Irish owner who came into the common room and offered all a packet of crisps, the location, good friendly vibe and great chance to meet others from all over and from Ireland. i'm not sure whether the sheets were clean on the bed!
Security was very good and I liked having a female dorm. Location was in great part of town, although away from bus terminal, which wasn't a problem.
the friendly staff and location
Friendly staff and fellow travellers. Not used to having as many in a room. Felt cramped and a bit like a rabbit warren. Only for good signage would never have got my way around.
The location was fantastic you just stepped out the front door and walk straight into all the action! For what yoy pay you cant better it! Not the nicest place i have stayed in.
