The reservation was handled through Hertz representative at Florence, Italy airport (Dollar was closed?). I was not given any telephone contacts if I needed roadside assistance or other problems with the rental. I had an issue with a tire pressure indicator and the car manual was in Italian. It was stressful driving late evening with no contact information to interpret the seriousness of the issue. After a long delay, a YouTube video helped resolve the situation. Felt isolated in foreign land.
This was one of the easiest and most pleasant car rental I've ever had. And I've had hundreds in the US. The first car we drove away was a manual transmission. When we got to our destination, we discovered that we had very steep hills and hairpin turns to navigate. And it was raining. Drivalia allowed us to exchange cars and sent us happily on our way. The 2nd car was Kia and fantastic. The drop off couldn't have been simpler either...just drop the keys and go!

There was an extremely long line and it took us over two hours to pick up the car. Used electric car with a terrible app to find charging stations. Got lucky to turn the car in with miles left.
It was over an hour wait to get the car but the two attendants were working their hardest to get thru the line. Returning the car in Brindisi was crazy. The kid checking in the car was more worried about talking to his friends hanging around than trying to listen to me. I tried multiple times to tell him we had received a parking ticket but he ignored the comment and went talking back to his friends. Not sure what else to do.

The car and service was great. Finding the car return was a nitemare. We drove around the airport for an hour
Pick up was easy tho they really pushed additional insurance that I had already purchased. Car was nice a BMW X1. They didn’t advise on how the GPS worked. Tried to Nav and worked intermittently and even home changed language it was still hit or miss on what we would hear if it worked.

Quite a wait at the time I arrived to pick up my rental, but once it was my turn the process was very quick and the staff were professional and helpful. My assigned vehicle was clean and in good condition and I had no issues during my trip.
First of all, we were quoted around 500 Euro for the largest car they had for 5 people with 7 suitcases and 5 personal sized bags, which looked plenty adequate. (We realize cars aren’t that big in Florence IT, but we had a picture of what we booked). Instead, (of course) there were no such cars on the lot and we were given a medium SUV which was not big enough for all 5 of us AND our luggage! We crammed everyone and every bag in (on laps etc). All done and said, it was 1100 Euro with taxes, insurance for dings, accidents, window chips etc. When we got to the car, not only was it small, it was heavily damaged with huge dents and scrapes. We certainly didn’t need the supreme insurance for that piece of junk. In hindsight (if we weren’t in a hurry), we should’ve demanded a different car or taken the supreme insurance off and gotten bare minimum for an accident only. My suggestion- don’t ever rent a car in Italy! Trying to drive in their cities is stressful and dangerous! Most of the Tuscan cities don’t allow non residents to park in parking spots so it’s best to park outside the city and walk in. We would take a taxi or Uber next time. We actually drove into Florence, and it was so crazy busy and we couldn’t find parking and drove right back out and went to Siena instead.

our flight was cancelled. We could not contact them. Avis took the opportunity the next day to charge ridiculous rates for the smallest vehicles. We went to another provider and were provided with the requested size at near the earlier quoted rate. I will not use a third party provider again. If not direct avis does not care.

Bad wipers on car. Had some rain and could hardly see the wipers were so bad. Pick up was bad. Take a number and wait an hour bad. Drop off was bad. Nowhere to leave car. Jeep was ok but I wouldn’t buy one. Not the car I signed up for.

Unfortunately they did not make it clear that unlike other international companies you must have a PHYSICAL international driver’s license to rent the car. Additionally they have zero flexibility for arrival time despite attempting to call multiple times. Ended up not giving me a refund either after not accepting my virtual intl drivers license and physical American one
The car was not up to the standards we paid for. The customer service was not great. The attendants were not helpful or able to give much direction or instruction

I received a damaged and dirty car. When I tried to bring this up a few hours after pick up, the staff was unresponsive and told me it wasn't their problem. Upon returning the car, the same employee was rude to me and cut me off repeatedly. She then sent me a report noting the damage to the car that was there when I picked it up and that the car was dirty.

We arrived to confusion over the shuttle pickup. The directions were outdated. The agent even argued with us when we met her. She wanted to charge us an international drivers license fee. We did not have to do this when using a renal car in Amsterdam. The whole experience turned us off and we cancelled. We rented from Hertz the next day and it was much better from start to finish. .

As for today we have sent a couple of emails requesting information about a charge that was placed on the credit card, but no answer has come from the company that works under the name of Auto One. We are still waiting for a response to clear up the charges.
It was a terrible experience, and they did not give me the car. I went to the counter and showed my reservation, my driver's license, and my international driver's license, and they told me that they could not accept my international driver's license without giving me any explanation.
I arrived and they said I had to have an international drivers lic. and that was not listed anywhere on the reservation. I went to SIXT beside them and they said they did not reqire it...but they had no cars. Then I got a car without an internation drivers lic from AVIS. The lady at the desk canceled the reservation but sent me to a 1-800 number to try to get compensation.
