We wanted to stay near the First Niagara Center. Great location. Breakfast buffet was unappetizing and understaffed.
The location is great. We went for an event at the Niagara arena. We could easily walk there. We were charged 10.00 to park our car...why that is a charge for guests is beyond me. The key card to the garage didn't work that was extremely annoying. The fan in the bathroom doesn't turn off so you had to listen to it run all night. We got very little sleep because of it. The hotel needs 5o be seriously updated ...it's way over priced
i like the location was awesome. Breafast buffet was a good value. staff was friendly. the bar had really good drinks. hotel just needs some updating. a small facelift.
It was nice having a restaurant and bar right in the hotel, very convenient. There was a long line for check in, probably because there was a hockey game & 2 weddings that day but we appreciated the free parking & 15% off restaurant coupon they gave out due to the wait. There is no parking lot to park your car while you check in so it was a bit hectic checking in & bringing our bags in, but we were grateful for the complimentary parking which is normally $10/day
Location Parking not included.
Great location and friendly staff. Out-dated small room. Paid for two queen beds and our room had two full beds. No refrigerator in the room. Coffee maker was missing the filter/ground coffee holder compartment. Overall, I wouldnt stay there again nor would I recommend anyone.
This property is in dire need of updating. It was at one time a showplace. Now, not at all. Very dated. Small rooms, bad coffee, worn carpet, no on site store, broken vending machine, malfunctioning heater in room, telephone message light that you couldn't turn off.
the staff was warm and friendly and accommodating as much as they could be. no refrigerator and no microwave in room which seems standard at even lesser hotels.
At first glance, Adam's Mark has a pretty entrance complete with a fountain and colorfully lit interior. Parking, while not included, is $10 per night. It is located within walking distance to the metro Church street station. The actual hotel rooms are dimly lit and shows sign of age. The bathroom light flickered intermittently. Worst of all was being awoken at 2am by an antiquated PA system due to "unexplained technical difficulties". The night staff was unprepared to handle the situation as guests wandered aimlessly outside. The morning staff adamantly refused to compensate us for the inconvenience and only begrudgingly offered to waive the parking fee for the night. Not worth the cost and headache.
Was convenient to downtown amenities (canal side). Staff was rude, it was snowing heavily and asked for a shuttle ride to canal side and was told shuttle driver is on break you can call a cab. Room was 90+ degrees when we entered, had to open window to cool it down.
The facilities were great and the sauna was nice. We could hear the folks returning from parties at night but it was just short bursts in the hallway.
Pretty good hotel There were no carts to take luggage up stairs and no staff member offered to help.
Staff were Amazing. Especially Corrine, Holly and Xiamora. Great service, provide awesome information and very welcoming. Valet parking is work the extra $10. Had an issue with housekeeping. But im sure it was just a one off and normally not an issue. Parking in the winter is tight
The bed was soooo comfortable. Was in town for a concert and after walking back to the hotel it was so awesome to just be able to crash in that bed, turn the tv on and fall right to sleep. Lotta great bars in the area for food. Wanna watch the bills game go to Bada Bing. Good food, cute waitresses, 1 block away, get there early it gets crazy. Anchor bar is very close also, worth the trip. Pay $20 per night for self parking across the street.
We were very impressed during our stay. Right from our check in with Jimmy at the front desk to our departure, we were treated very well and were very comfortable during our stay. The restaurant was excellent as well and it was a nice treat to see the streetcar drive by every few minutes as we were enjoying our breakfast. The pool was also nice. Terrific value. Thank you very much. I would suggest the addition of a color printer in the business area instead of just the black and white. I would also suggest having the pool area change room saunas repaired.
Rooms were clean, elevators were fast, located in a nice area, close to the night life of buffalo. Staff at front counter was very polite and helpful. Found someone's nasty dirty washcloth hanging in the shower, makes you wonder if it had been cleaned or overlooked. Valet staff hung up on me on the phone when I asked for my car to kindly be retrieved, I questioned if they had heard me, or if I lost connection, yet when I went to the atrium, I could see they had retrieved my car. Pool open inconvenient hours on the weekend. We left just after 9:00am on a Sunday morning, and the pool was not open yet.
everything except the annoying rattling in the walls we stayed in 2 rooms. Both had constant rattling inside the walls. Originally I thought is was small animal but found out later, on windy days, the wind finds its way in the side walls. The sound must be the wires. It was so bad we all bought earplugs for the 2nd (last) night. I informed the front desk when I checked out. They are well aware of the problem. I guess it's a common complaint but nothing they can do about it.
Location, comfortable bed. Fridge didn't work, vent in bathroom dirty & clogged, I choose higher floors for the view but the windows were so dirty I couldn't even get a picture, save money..park in garage across the street!...
Clean comfortable room with very friendly staff Slow elevator
Staff very nice room clean cleaning service staff awesome Soda venders
Something I dont usually see - Toothpaste! The restaurant in the hotel was great too. Since we were in Buffalo we ordered the Buffalo style wings - some of the best I have had! Lots of Pats fans from out of town - nice atmosphere after a road game. Bathroom was a little cramped and dated - bathtub could use to be replaced.
The room was nice, and large, and pretty comfortable. I appreciated free wifi, a nice fitness club, with hot tub and pool, and a decent free breakfast. When the heating system in our room cycled on, it made a noise that sounded like an alarm going off. Not loud, but loud enough to wake us up repeatedly. On a more inor note, there was no clock in the pool/ spa room, which is problematic, since you can't keep your ohone handy in the pool or hot tub.
We made reservations thru a trusted website and drove : hours to get there. The receptionist said she could not fiend out reservation. We shower her the confirming email and a printout of the rxomfirmation of our room with 2 queen birds and a out couch. .when we got there the reservation was not to be found and they didn't even have a room with the 2 beds available We ended up. Having to pay for a second room and waisted all of our time that we missed our event . It was a waisted trip and also very frustrating
I liked how seemingly clean my room was. I didn't appreciate that during the middle my check-in the front desk woman took a random phone call about "potential cancellation" . The call took awhile and she didn't even apologize for the wait. Plus she said my card would be "on file" IN CASE of incidentals...she didn't inform me that she was swiping my card for $75 !!!!! plus another charge for 15. When I called they said it will take at least 3 days to credit my account. I like transparency when I lodge.
The proximity to The Anchor Bar, and The Chocolate Bar Restaurants The cost of the room for my stay The extensive all you can eat breakfast
Nice room, great staff
Love the whole experience, the large bathtub, the evening reception and the omelet station at breakfast. It's a little pricey but that's about it. I love this place. Been here before, will be back again.
The location was amazing, even though the weather wasn't great we were a short walk from a bunch of different restaurants and bars. When we first arrived housekeeping entered our room with out knocking and proceeded to have a conversation with us while we were in bed, it bothered me that they hadn't communicated that we had already checked in. They were wondering when we were checking out even though we had just checked in maybe 2 hours before.
Staff was awesome. Hotel was very clean. Rooms were very comfortable and spacious. Proximity to arena is great. I will definetely be coming back again. Nothing
The bed was very comfortable, the rooms spacious and clean, excellent breakfast and evening happy hour. Very nice pool/spa area and the fitness center actually had a decent selection of weights and cardio
breakfast and the view of the St. Patrick's Day parade right from the room nothing. everything was great.
Service was top notch. Free Range Rover shuttle was excellent. Honor bar in the billboards room was fantastic as was the complimentary breakfast spread the next morning. Very close to everything downtown Buffalo has to offer.
This was our second stay at the Mansion. The first was for our wedding night a few years ago. From what I can see, nothing has suffered in these last few years. The staff at the Mansion are wonderful and available to take care of you, whatever you need. Not sure what you need? Ask the staff and they'll help you out. If you like being pampered, this is the place. The place is stunning; take time to wander the Mansion and look at the woodworking and other details. The only reason I didn't give the facilities a top rating is because some of the cabinets or other fixtures in the room could use replacement. Just some basic wear and tear that is easily remedied.
Staff is super friendly and goes out of their way to be helpful. Rooms are spacious, tasteful and clean. Hot breakfast was a little bland.
This Hampton Inn is right in the center of Downtown Buffalo with great bars, restaurants and sights within walking distance. The rooms were clean and spacious. Plus, the rates were generally affordable. No big deal, but there was no mini fridge in the room, so we could not preserve leftover food or keep drinks cold.
It was my first time working with kayak, and everything went super smooth. Check in was easy and the hotel room was gorgeous. Beds could be a little more comfortable, but im just very picky. Gorgeous hotel room, and super clean. Conveniently located. Very happy
This is the nicest Hampton i've ever stayed in.. Unreal for a small city like Buffalo.
The rooms were updated and clean no
Very easy check in/ check out, friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful rooms, very clean. Nice pool and hot tub area. No fridge or microwave in the room
Staff was friendly and responsive when addressing my complaints. The gym had basic equipment and was organized and appeared clean. End. upon arrival the toilet seat was noticeably dirty and parking was not available due to hotel capacity. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The hotel room was not thoroughly cleaned including floors, toilet, sink and counter. I found items under bed and side table from previous guests. There was a broken piece on the closet door that made a loud noise every time opened. Rotten fruit and stale bread put out at breakfast. I posted Do Not Disturb sign two days and both days an employee woke me knocking on the door. End.
Location, staff, breakfast. i booked king size smooking room and got two queen non smookin. Hotel staff could not explain why this has happended. There were no water boiler, mini fridge, or microwave in the room.
It was clean and comfortable The customer service at the front desk was terrible
Great getaway my husband and I are from Canada and headed to buffalo for a conert.. We stayed here and everything was great from the minute we arrived..They took our car to valet parking an we headed to our room, and was very clean and had a view of the streets like we requested..we also liked being right next to the train.. It took us right to the Niagara centre, where the concert was. If I'm ever in buffalo again for anything I will definitely go back there..
Staff was extremely helpful. Very clean and beautiful hotel.
We had an excellent nights stay. Bed was comfortable, room was very clean and modern and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive to our needs. Would definitely stay again. Nothing.
My wife and I (we live in Buffalo) stayed here for a weekend "staycation" to do things in the city that we wouldn't typically do, despite living about 3-4 miles away. The hotel was very nice, the room was well appointed, staff were friendly. Not a huge criticism, but it was somewhat "remarkably unremarkable." Had a drink at the 7th floor bar that was pretty good but pretty sure it cost like $16, I'm not sure it was quite that good.
Beautiful spacious suite: It had two large bedrooms, high ceilings, spare elegant yet funky decor, a gas fireplace in the living and a full kitchen. Continental breakfast, which was available in the next building, was mediocre, but a plus was the option to use the voucher towards made to order choices. Parking is extra and sort of around the block, but we parked on the street free of charge.
I was travelling with my wife and adult daughter & boyfriend. We wanted an apartment close to the First Niagara Centre. Hotel was extremely clean, staff great and apartment well appointed and spacious. Excellent stay. Highly recommended for families.
Love this place. Staff is helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again.
The suite was beautiful. Lack of parking
Room size was stunning. Ventilation in bedrooms not great, a fan would be helpful. Best place ive stayed!
Close to the arena Tv's way too small and remote was not working well
This is not your average cookie cutter hotel! Formerly a Loft, my room was actually more of an apartment. I actually relaxed near the fireplace and read. I never do that in hotel rooms! It felt like a vacation even though I was there for work. The outside/ front of the building needs to be more inviting. As a woman traveling alone I was a little intimidated walking into the place - it seemed too dark. Until I got inside.
I loved the price (----), the fireplace, and kitchen. Patrick at the front desk was fabulous and I appreciated the free late checkout. The included breakfast at Brawlers deli was awful.. just stick to the oatmeal and fruit salad or something simple. The rooms could have been a bit more colorful and had a TV and the opening in the wall made it not very private since you can hear all.
2 bedroom loft..very large, compfortable, kitchen, comfy beds, free breakfast, great friendly staff..completely not like regular 'hotels'. was unique and welcoming. Recommended it to all of my friends should they find themselves in Buffalo
Large suite with 2 bedrooms, clean and comfortable linens, clean space. Very nice and light space I had to ask for housekeeping to clean a few things in the bathroom. The bathroom cabinet could use replacing.
Great space for a family or friends traveling together. Afternoon front desk staff was excellent. This hotel has a noise problem. The hallways echo and you can hear people coming/going.
Very helpful staff, big room, and good breakfast buffet. While there were two widescreen TVs in the room, neither had a very good picture (no HD?). Windows were dirty, inside and out.
it was very nice and comfortable
Location was great and 1 bedroom was plenty spacious. It was close to the train and bus route stops. There were plenty of places to eat and have a drink near by. They didn't have real glasses available for drinking out of.
The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I had ever slept on - and the sheets had a subtle, very fresh scent. Lobby was being renovated, so there was a funky smell - due to construction. Not a huge problem, just when we passed through.
Hotel on premises, location to public transportation, cleanliness, overall everything was great not an ice machine on every floor, slow elevators
Everyone was very helpful. There is no parking onsite. I believe that that should have been disclosed. It was a hardship for me with a walking disability to walk 4 blocks away to park the car. It was very inconvenient to drop off and pick up the luggage.
Room was very well furnished, clean and comfortable.. My room was noisy from some internal ventilation noise. TGIFridays was very loud and dirty.
The lobby was rough due to construction and there was not a public restroom on the first floor. Parking was not close to carry our luggage to and from. The staff was not overly friendly and the breakfast was overcrowded and not refilled when we had got there.
Location was great! Had to be at the convention center and hotel is just a short walk from the convention center. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, the staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was excellent! Also liked the complimentary bottled water. Refrigerator could have been a bit colder but kept food cold enough.
We will definitely stay here again. A huge, clean and comfortable room for a reasonable price. Parking was not on site and you had to pay for a nearby ramp. But that was about the same as the mandatory valet parking other hotels have downtown.
Extremely comfortable king bed and a great(6) pillow selection. Very clean with 2 tv's in 2 diff. areas. Comp. breakfast was good. Staff was very courteous. A TGIFridays is in the same building and a Dunkin Donuts is 1/2 block down. No on site parking. Parking is 2 blocks away in a parking garage and is free for 1 in and out only. If you are going to come and go then its $5 every time or you can get unlimited for $10 at the desk. The fridge in our room wasn't very cold even on max setting.
Very good location, clean comfortable room Parking is by valet at extra cost. I called in the morning, as instructed, to ask for my car. They told me it would be ready in 10 minutes. When we came down to the lobby, they had forgotten to get the car and apologized. Then next morning, I called down again for the car and it still seemed that they hadn't retrieved it when we arrived the lobby. On another note, I told them that the shower light bulb needed replacement and requested firm pillows since the down pillows flatten into a pancake. The bulb was not changed and firm pillows never delivered.
Good gym, nice room, front desk lady was very helpful They had no record of my booking.com reservation!!! Luckily they made a room available anyway. They had to have a long phone conversation with booking.com before this was solved. Breakfast restaurant is a joke.
Reserved room with two beds was not available any more. Allegedly only a room is reserved, not the specific features of the room. Then why can I choose them during reservation? With two kids even in a King Size Bed it's a bit tight.
Good value for money The breakfast buffet was quite limited
comfortable, modern room and it was very convenient to our purpose in buffalo front desk staff was rude and treated us like second class citizens. after seeing this listing, we asked the first agent if there was a room and she immediately, without looking, said they were sold out. as soon as my girlfriend started to mention seeing rooms online the manager gave us a line about having to buy online. we had to sit in the lobby and bought the room on the app.. we asked if these rooms were held by kayak and similar companies and the mgr said no. which means they were lying about their availability. my girlfriend and i are both front desk managers at much busier and nicer hotels in Yellowstone, and our staff would be in serious trouble if they treated our guests like we were treated. the bell/valet and housekeeping staff was very nice and helpful!
The rooms were clean and the location was convenient to downtown. Check in and check out were quick and easy. Parking is limited due to its location. It's all paid parking or street parking unless you want to pay for valet parking through the hotel.
Convenience to downtown arena
the beds and pillows were really comfortable
staff at the desk was very friendly and helpful the light in the bathroom was very dim, hard to see to apply makeup
I loved the location and it was very convenient for the function we were attending. The hotel was close to the peace bridge and it was easy to get around the city. I left 3 packs of cigarettes in the bedside table with some medication. When I called the next morning to report it I was told that nothing was turned in. I even called back a second time and was told the same thing. So, someone stole my stuff and I am not very happy about that!
The hotel was well located, near downtown Buffalo and close to cafes, restaurants and bars. The room was spacious and attractively decorated. Coffee and tea making facilities were provided in the room, and breakfast was included in the tariff. Front desk staff were very helpful, providing public transport timetables to enable us to travel around Buffalo without a car.
It was a convenient location and good value Lines at guest services were slow moving
the front desk staff, the room, and the free breakfast no
Each member of the staff was cordial and helpful. There was adequate parking lot security via TV cameras and a guard who made rounds. Some rooms allowed smoking, which I appreciate. Breakfast area was small but adequate. No restaurant.
Good size rooms and good location Though staff was very friendly, they didn't appear to know their own city very well and was not very good at offerring directions or arrange transport for us.
Very helpful hotel staff. Ideal location. None...
Mk Outdated and didn't feel safe in the lobby
We had a blast there. Rooms were smaller but we didn't spend a whole bunch of time in the room. The hotel restaurant was amazing. Try the burger and mac n cheese. Thanks Tony!!! It was all good for us!!!
It has personality. Unlike the cookie-cutter hotels that look the same in every place, the Lenox Hotel is unique. It reminded me of some great pre-War apartment building in Manhattan. The room was somewhat spare as far as furnishings, but it was immaculate. And the hardwood floors were clean and lovely. I was with my six-year-old daughter and we both loved it. We were there on St. Patricks Day (completely unintentional). On a Saturday night. One would think that the noise level would be horrible, but it wasn't. I heard a couple of doors open and close and a couple of conversational-level voices, but that was pretty much it. Don't believe all the negative reviews. This place is a gem (and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly). It's a downtown hotel, so you get some traffic noise during the night, but not much. Honestly, I don't have anything negative to say. The room is spare--there aren't any frills. Your uptight brother-in-law wouldn't like the Lenox. Your hipster friends, your hippie friends, your arty friends, and your funky friends will love it.
Staff were pleasant My toilet was clogged with the previous guests waste. The silverware was obviously dirty. The towels looked used and re-folded. The vexing came off the mattress. As I came down for the free breakfast, I saw a guest spit out the eggs. I looked at the low quality food, opened up the pot lid for the oatmeal and saw the ladel filled with a runny mucous like liquid. I closed it and chose to go to breakfast someplace else. I will NEVER recommend or stay at this property again. I will be contacting Marriott's CEO and will send him a letter return receipt requested.
room was fairly clean, breakfast was pretty good we were traveling in winter, probably a bad idea to stay in Buffalo, but we did. The staff had no knowledge of travel routes, the throughway was closed and there was not a single suggestion from any of the three staff members about how to head west to Ohio. No knowledge of what radio station or tv station to tune into. No, hey try this, try that, only input was use the computer and map out a route on mapquest.
Conveniently close to the Buffalo-Amherst airport. The room was in horrible condition; it's old with worn out furniture, terrible bathroom with threadworn towels, stained or soiled carpets, lumpy small bed pillows, and the bed smelled stale.
Location Very out dated, not clean, and the bed was a box spring with a thin cushion on top.
I went to Buffalo for an interview and stayed in this hotel for one night. It was a very comfortable stay. I bought a big king size room for a very good deal from Kayak. The best of the room was the view outside my window. I could see the airport which was all lit up at night. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Great and hospitable staff. Excellent service by Brian who made sure to provide me hot fresh coffee before I board the shuttle to the airport. I checked into my room and the hair dryer was full of somebody's hair. The closet door was defective. So I requested to change my room.
Girlfriend is picky with hotels and is usually not happy but liked this one. Housekeeping sprayed a perfume after cleaning and the smell gave me a headache and bothered my GFs asthma but the staff quickly used an air purifier that worked great.
The hotel was a great value for the money. The staff was excellent and any request was handled swiftly and efficiently. The only problem was that the tub in the room was rather dingy and kind of stained with dirt. As the hotel is not new, I am sure that it was just a sign of age
Pool and amenities were nice. Room was cleaned daily. A crib was provided for our young child. The bathtub didn't drain water fast enough. The tub would fill while one was showering. I didn't like thinking about what was clogging it and thus what I was standing in. I chose not to give our baby a bath but instead held him up in the shower.
It was so close to airport.
The room was non-smoking, but we could smell the stench of cigarettes all over.
Microwave and fridge in room, king bed, pull out sofa, pool and fitness center hours Room/hallway smalled bad when we first checked in, we arrived at 5pm and were asked to sit and wait for a room to be ready for us (could have checked in at 3pm), forgot to restock our towels
it was a good room
location of the Hotel The staff at the front desk when i arrived at the Hotel. I had booked a two Queen Bed with sofa room. I had the confirmation for the same. When i arrive at the hotel at 11 PM in night with my family the attendant at front desk tells me he can offer a room that has a King bed and Sofa room only. The reason i get is since i have booked from Kayak / Hotel.com they do not guarantee the room type. Considering my family with me he was not at all considerate to give me other room. I was told to talk directly with the Kayak representative. He knew that i did not had much choice at 11 PM. I would not recommend anyone this Hotel. Also the shuttle service was not available in night.
Great staff, very friendly, decent rooms, clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were fair, shower was a cheap plastic insert. Because of the staff alone I would stay here again. Carpets need replacing throughput the hotel. Pool was hot, hot tub was cold, strange. Pool area and fitness area are dated and tired.
IN GENERAL FOR THE VALUE I WOULD RATE IT AS A FOUR STAR. THE ROOM COULD USE A COAT OF PAINT.
Proximity to the airport and free shuttle service Extra charges on credit card bill in anticipation of any calls made from the room.
Great for the price. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pool and jacuzzi were nice. The facility was clean The breakfast was ok but what I would expect for free
The staff was execellent. They were all friendly and helpful, got us to and from the airport easily. The hotel seems old, but clean and comfortable. On the down side, I'd like to get a receipt when I check out instead of being told I have to get it from Expedia. Also, I'd like to get my Choice points for staying there which I apparently can't if I book with Kayak. I doubt I'll use Kayak/Expedia again.
They let us use the shuttle service to go to local restaurants. They dropped us off and picked us up.
Location was perfect. Room was too small for a king zized bed. I could hear conversations from another room.
close to airport, nice stuff , shuttle service to airport , decent price
My sister and I stayed here overnight for a visit the next morning @ Villa Maria College. We were disappointed that the pool was closed but not surprised because winter just ended. The continental breakfast was decent, many options for Food and drink and plenty Of places to sit. The actual room was very. Nice comfortable beds and different options for pillows. A great stay! Pool being closed
The hotel was new and very comfy and beautiful.
