Very quiet hotel with attentive staff We would suggest putting a small light on the lower side of the cabinet area as that is where the coffee pot is, & it was a little too dark.
The room was clean and nice and modern equiped. The breakfast was very good (absolutly seldom in american hotels of that price level). Doors between diferent room could be opened. That would be a nice feature for bigger families. We like the jewish accessories at the doors. The surounding of hotel was not absolutly best, but they have done her best to make it nice and we think they were succesfull. In summary a nice hotel which we can recommend! The hotel is a little bit far away from the trafic. 10 min going by foot to the next metro station in Brooklyn, but the hotel offered a taxi service with fixed prise inside of Brooklyn.
The building itself has a beautiful front face. The perfect balance between modern and vintage. The bed was so comfortable and everything was clean. The shower feels amazing. When we needed anything the front desk was always able to help.
The rooms are spacious, with a great shower and amenities. One of the most comfortable beds I have ever had in a hotel, and the continental breakfast was fresh and delicious. The hotel exceeded all of my expectations. I hope that they can continue to offer what they do at the prices that they are charging. I travel for business a lot and this was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had.
This place is magic. It's like walking into an enchanted wardrobe (CS Lewis) and finding a beautiful land of brownstones, soulful jazz, and kind world travelers on the other side. How many Inn keepers greet you with a hug when you first walk through the door? Inn keeper Debbie does and that's just the beginning of the journey that is followed by family stories, neighborhood history, and cooking that tops any local restaurant. The house Jazz party took the whole experience to another level. Listening to Debbie's partner, Eric, and his band play Jazz standards in the inn parlor was pure joy. The fish fry that followed two sets of groovy blue notes was outstanding and I don't even like fish. Yes the doors creak and floor squeaks and there are no TVs in the room, but that's the way it should be on the other side of the wardrobe. Thanks Debbie and Eric for a real good time! Nada
the cleanliness of the room and the breakfast. The front desk people are not kind.
I thought it was ok. The room was nice. I just had problems with some of the TV stations. The local stations had static and fuzzy channels.
nothing I did not sleep as the railway line went right outside my window you really need to tell people how unsafe it is in this area
Confortable beds Some of the staff
New room, excellent beds, clean Hotel staff at breakfast (reception ok), neigbourhood a bit scary
Room was nice and clean Staff were not very helpful. No printer on pc so couldnt print maps or directions. Safe didn't work.
Location very good and close to all the transportation joints. Clean room. 1. One of the clerks on the staff was perfunctory and not oriented on helping the customers, besides simply lacking politeness.Anything we asked, be that printing out a page from the computer, or having more than one chair in room for two people... the answer was no to all. No apologies for inconvenience, no explanation for the reasons for not being able to accomodate clients who are playing close to 100$ a night. 2. Room was not touched by room service on the evening when we returned after all day being out. I am not sure why... 3. Very noisy. The metro/subway trains go all night right in front/above.
room was good. they said breakfast hours is untill 9am but they close 15min. before. the recepcionist on saturday allowed me checkout on sunday 1pm,but the same guy started to push me for the checkout on sunday at 10:30am.
The room was very clean, the people at the front desk were very nice and i was happy that we could leave our bags at the hotel after checking out. the noises of the train that came by and that we had to sleep in the "basement" (level C)
Felt unsafe in the location especially at night. Being so close to the railway line didn't help in its appeal as the noise was excessive during the night. Located in a very unsafe and noisy area.
