Very personable and helpful staff with a sense of humor. Clean and stylish rooms. Awesome free breakfast delivered to room. No gym, but I understand due to limited space availability in area.
proximity to sites visited n/a
The hotel has an interesting design, all blues with bose sounds system. Parking is virtually none, so ad for parking is not accurate. We had to park far away and hotel staff did not help. Very poor service.
The staff was incredibly friendly and even helpful with the baby we had with us. Parking was free! The beds were amazingly comfortable. And the room was very well appointed. It's location withing Park Slope isn't on the most exciting street. However, you only need to walk a a few blocks to get to the really nice parts.
Friendly people, unique rooms, nice view, comfy bed, good bathrobe
The staff was very nice. The ice machine was in the basement.
Staff was super nice, great breakfast. Great service The shower wasn't very private, open in the room. You could see in. Bathroom too small. People in the next room noisy.
the room was very modern and cute, bed was comfortable and room was clean, lighting romantic
The bed was quite comfortable, and the room was tastefully decorated in a modern way. The room was a decent size for New York City standards. While the location is a bit off-putting at first, the shops and restaurants of Park Slope are just one avenue away. It was a prefect for visiting friends in the area. While the rain shower was quite nice, it was odd that the bathroom was just part of the bedroom. It allowed for little privacy.
Our room smelled like smoke. We had no key to the second room as their key machine was out of order. We had to find a staff member with a pass key to enter. BAM, dining
very comfortable. small, but well designed room. quiet. a bit pricey considering the location.
Excellent location - on the doorstep of the F train to Manhattan and the bistors and pubs of Park slope. Nicely designed rooms and fresh bagels each morning are a nice treat.
Good value for money. With the price I paid I got breakfast, a decent bathroom, and Marriott-quality service. The location is not in a well-lit environment. Also a bit far from the closest subway station.
Nice hotel in a grungy part of town Room was near the ice machine which was moist all night long.
Everything about this hotel experience was exceptional No
Front desk in check in were friendly and inviting. Room seemed very clean. BEDBUGS! Woke up with many bites. I tried to talk to them about it. I received a runaround including a scolding from their 'customer service manager', about how I should have gone right to the hospital. For bedbug bites? No I was in NYC for work

It was beautiful and it had parking which is very imppportant in the Gowanus area.. Great breakfast.
Convenient location $35 for parking when there is free parking on the street.
The location was great. There was plenty of parking around the hotel. The staff was so nice and helpful. We didn't have a fridge in our room but once we asked for it we were accommodated with one within 10 minutes. They met up to expectation I have no problem I stay it was awesome I'm always in Brooklyn so I decided to book a hotel here and I was very happy, very pleased the room is very clean.
This hotel is in a good location for anyone visiting Brooklyn. The room was immaculate and cozy, there was a good selection for breakfast, the staff friendly and ready to help, and they handled my check in and out for me and made everything easy. no.
There was vacancy, the rooms were clean & free continental. Breakfast Located on a dark street behind warehouses, which was intimidating for my wife & kids. The kayak advertisement stated "parking" with a green check Mark wich leads you to believe it's free. The woman at counter sarcasticly proved to me that parking was not "free", although she did admit that the add was deceptive. $35.00 to park? Or you can leave your car on a dark side street in Brooklyn Ny. People were loudly speaking & laughing at this vending machine that was conveniently placed next to my door. They seemed to be intoxicated as this occurred at 0100 am in the middle of the night on a Thurs.
The staff was very accommodating Room did not appear ready when we arrived.
Great place!! Nice staff! Free breakfast. Small room but beautiful! Bed is more comfortable then mine! And near a lot of stores!!
The friendliness of the staff was amazing. There were no nice view out the window and my room only had one curtain and i could not close out the light
I liked everything about my stay here. Great location with east access into the city. Great room with comfortable bed. It was clean, not big, but everything i needed. The best part of my stay here was the staff. They were amazing! Incredibly friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again.
Perfect for a quick stay. Very clean, comfortable, and quiet. Wifi was extremely slow and staff could have been friendlier.
Clean (by appearance), efficient room. As soon as the elevator opened to the floor a lingering mint/marijuana odor was present. Nothing a little Lysol couldn't fix. Thankfully we brought our own (in-between moving), as it would have felt bothersome to deal with a concierge that doesn't acknowledge you upon entry to the building. Decent breakfast, though - step above typical continental fare: coffee/tea/concentrated juice, fruit, waffle maker, egg/sausage patties, cereal, and yogurt. Considering the location, for the price, it'd be worth staying again.
Great rooms, very clean, wonderful staff. For the price we were very surprised at the quality
We got a basement room. The basement was loud and echoed any doors opening/closing or conversations through the hall loudly enough to make sleep difficult. Rooms were small and windows were tiny. Otherwise clean room, which was appreciated.
Great customer service
It's convenient location and easy check-in.. That there is no restaurant in the hotel or in the immediate area.
I liked the new renovations done to the hotel The only thing I didn't like was the $75.00 hold on my account
Close to Metro One elevator, No bath towels, limited toiletries, no soap, no shampoo. No easy chairs in room.. Poor value/
location is perfect for visiting my grandson. Lower rates
It was close to a subway station, and the staff were friendly. The AC in the room worked well, and the shower had good pressure and hot water. Breakfast was very good, and they had a respectable biscuits and gravy. Very tiny room, even the mattresses felt like they weren't even full sized. No closet at all, just a tiny wardrobe that was already half filled with the iron and board. One of the phones didn't work. The room-darkening curtains did not close all the way. No luggage rack, so we had to stack our suitcases on the desk and chair. There was also no mini-fridge, but honestly where would they have put it, under the sink? The door wouldn't close tightly and did not feel very secure. The elevator was incredibly slow.
The elevator was out of service. I booked online but they charge me twice and charge me for car parking 50$
We have stayed at this hotel before and found it to be convienent , it's near my daughter's apartment. the staff are friendly and helpful. the are clean.
The hotel is within walking distance from the subway and there is a great BBQ place across the street. I booked a room for August 19-20th. When I arrived, I was issued room 301. When I entered the room there was an overwhelming marijuana odor, and a towel was wrapped around the sprinkler system. When I reported this to the supervisor on duty( Janelle) she asked me if I'd like a room change, to which I agrees to and was moved to room 913. When I entered room 913 it was very warm, I checked the thermostat and it read 78 degrees. I addressed this issue with Janelle and her response was as follows "Sir, the air conditioner in that room is working fine because there were people in it before you" I replied that it was uncomfortably hot in the room, and I was unable to sleep in that heat. She said " I have other customers who are checking in to worry about, we can't just switch your room because you think it's hot. I will send someone up to check on the air conditioner" She sent up a maintenance worker, who told me that he felt it was cool in the room because he "just ran up 9 flights of stairs, and he felt just fine" This is outrageous and unacceptable customer servIce. I was put into a room with a fire hazard, and moved to a room with no AC only to be told I didn't know what the temperature was and that there were other customers to worry about.
It was clean and convienent...staff was helpful and friendly.
I had mistakenly made my reservation for the next day. One of the front desk employee was exceptionally rude. Instead of attempting to help like the other front desk employee was doing, he dismissed me with no further assistance. I had a phone charger and my phone had died, he would not help me charge it. I wanted to us my phone to find a different hotel that I could stay at. I was inebriated, but your employee is not a health care professional to make that accusation.
Room was ok & comfortable Very poor elevator service - really could a second one, esp. for maid service - dingy hall carpet - hard to change temperature in room
Convenient and close to subway and Long Island Rail Road Hub. The wiFi was weak and inconsistent. The tv signal was constantly freezing and skipping during the Giant game.
This is a no frills, only the basics hotel but with the clean and comfortable furnishings that you expect from a Holiday Inn. Plus its at half the cost of the Manhattan Hotels. On the fringe of the Brooklyn Brownstones, it's right by the R,N & D subway line which will all take you right into Manhattan and one stop away from Atlantic avenue for transfer to most lines and the LIRR. There are a couple food places across the street, Dinosaur BBQ being the best of your choices. If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel that is clean and comfortable and are willing to navigate the subway its perfect. If you are hoping to be a couple blocks from the action and take a quick cab to times square then your looking in the wrong place. But if thats what you want you will pay twice as much for that. Again, no frills, do have a free breakfast with eggs, cereal, juice, fruit ,muffins but you're not going to see a gym, or pool, or bar in here. You come, you check in, and then you go out to explore! If you don't like that, then again this is probably not for you. Also, other than for your luggage, take the stairs. Only one elevator and its kind of slow. But again this is NYC, if you can't take the stairs ,you're not going to get very far in the city!
Helpful staff Long walk from ecerything
This is a no frills, small room hotel that should be used for the traveler that isn't planning on spending much time in the room itself. Great bathroom, great bed, AC worked very well, tiny space (has large TV though). Wifi worked great. Staff was friendly. For the cost and location in Park Slope, perfect combo. Some noise through the walls, tight space (like a ship!)
Third time I've stayed here: great location, breakfast at diner round the corner is included and it's good. Rooms are small but fine if you're a tourist on the go and just want a place to sleep.
The hotel was perfectly fine for a place to stay. The rooms are small, but it's New York so I expected that to be true. Since I only needed a place to sleep for a few days and wasn't spending time hanging out in the room this was just fine. The location is great. The hotel was a little bit noisy at night and sound traveled in the halls well - but it wasn't that bad and didn't keep me up.
Extremely tight quarters
Small but clean and comfortable! I wasn't there to hang out in the hotel anyway ;-)
The neighborhood. You could hear everything thanks to the super thin walls. The bed was not that comfortable. I think my dorm room in college was more comfortable than that.
The complimentary breakfast at a local cafe was better than the usual expected muffin and coffee. Room was small. You practically walk into the bed as you enter. Overall, the staff was pleasant, location great - many bars and restaurants within walking distance and the subway was a block away. Street parking also available. Area felt safe.
The location was perfect for our trip to Brooklyn to see a concert at Prospect Park. The venue was only a ten minute walk from the hotel. A short Uber ride took us to an area of town with lots of restaurant options. The room was clean, bed was comfortable. Check in and out were a breeze. There isn't enough parking for everyone. When we arrived, the small lot behind the hotel was full. There are maybe 15 spots. Luckily for us, we sort of made our own spot next to the handicapped spot and used that as our parking space. However, if a guest arrives and everything is full, you are forced to park on the street. Good luck.
The room was extremely small!!! The parking lot as well! Only enough room for 10 csrs. Get there early to get a spot.
Clean and comfortable rooms Short and early breakfast hours. Extremely small lobby, dining, and guest rooms. Manager avoids customer requests by not answering the listed phone number, even when the caller is hotels.com. Manager was the first one in 5 years of using Kayak who refused, rudely, to allow courtesy cancellation of third night with 48 hours advance notice. Family travel is prone to changes, so this Inn should be removed from Kayak and La Quinta affiliations.
The staff was very nice and helped when asked. The area the hotel is in made the value for the hotel not worth it. Hotel is not as close to downtown as it sounded like and not much around in the way of food etc.
I liked the location your staff were pretty weird and uninviting I had used wash cloths in the bathroom with hair on one of them I stayed on the third floor your vendor machine didn't have anything in it. Other than that it was a clean comfortable room I slept like a baby.
It is close to the folks we were visiting in Park Slope. It was in a safe place, convenient to shopping and the subway station for connections to all places in NYC. It was inexpensive and a light breakfast was included. Everything was fine. It is simple, clean, and comfortable for the price. The hotel's immediate neighborhood is not lovely, but the rate would be much higher if it was in the trendy neighborhood just a block away.
Cheap comparedto the ntime spend at the hotel. Close to subway Breakfast room too small and the assortment is very limited
Clean, comfortable and good location Slightly-noisy air-conditioner
Clean, walking distance to restaurants and public transportation. Rooms were not very quiet, could here everything in the hall.
Clean rooms, well stocked breakfast, pleasant staff Parking too limited! We parked in an off-sight Super-8 "lot" and were called down at 11pm to move our car so that another guest could park their truck behind us. They crashed the truck into another guests' car in the process! Needless to say, we found street parking.
Very nice staff and clean hotel.
The staff was friendly and accommodating and security personnel was always visible. Security cameras are on every floor, at each exit, and outside of the building. The rooms facing the street were noisy. Cars could be heard quite easily at all times of day and night. The corner room was very small with hardly enough room to get past the end of the king-size bed into the bathroom. It was only about two feet from the desk and chair from the end of the bed. Two people would have been bumping into each other and would not have been able to get pass each other if one was seated at the desk. As for location of the property, I would not want my daughter to walk at night the one block from the metro to the hotel because the streets were dinly lit and the area is surrounded by auto repair shops and rough sidewalks.
very clean bathroom, towels were changed daily fire alarm testing starting at 8.15 am and lasting for more than 1 hour and sheets were not changed during our 7 nights stay
