Top tips for hiring a car at Batumi airport

  • Securing a car rental at the Batumi Airport (BUS) is an ideal way to explore the independent Republic of Georgia. The airport is situated at the juncture of two main roads, one which leads north along the coast of the Black Sea and one which leads inland. In a Batumi Airport car rental, you can explore the country, seeing dramatic landscapes, medieval churches, ancient cities carved into mountains, and so much more that centuries of history has to offer. In a Batumi Airport car rental, you can visit the sites you want on your own schedule.
  • Getting a car rental at Batumi Airport gives you the advantage of dealing with car rental agencies with extended hours. For instance, the Avis and the Batumi Car Rental at the airport are both open 24 hours. So, if your plane is landing in the evening or at night, or if your plane is delayed, due to severe weather, for example, the agencies at Batumi Airport will be there to assist you.
  • Though the Batumi Airport is small, it has many services and amenities in order to make you comfortable in the event that you need to wait in order to collect your car rental. At the Batumi Airport, you can wait in the exclusive Primeclass Lounge, which you can access by paying at the door. The Batumi Airport also has free Wi-Fi, ATMs, currency exchange, duty-free, other shops, a cafe, an information desk, and more.
  • When you are driving your Batumi Airport car rental, you will need to remain patient and cautious. Drivers in Georgia have a reputation of being aggressive, and patient and, well, crazy. As you drive, other drivers will speed, pass you, and tailgate. Drivers often pull out of parking spaces or enter traffic both suddenly and without signaling. However, as long as you drive cautiously and defensively, you should be fine.
  • Book your car hire at Batumi airport at least 3 weeks before your trip in order to get a below-average price
