Good location and customer service
Location can't be beat, pool is nicer than embassy across street. Valet service is also way better than embassy....that's what I pay more for. AC never gets real cold for me...I stay here a lot when I attend hockey games...I always stay here or embassy across the street. I've been choosing Marriott because the valet for embassy is a zoo and takes forever when you try and leave in the morning but if Marriott doesn't fix their AC I'm gonna have to find something else.
The woman who checked us in didn't seem to know what she was doing, but tried acting like she did. She charged our card for $489. When I told her we booked the room for $299 she said, "whatever I have on my computer is what you booked it for". I had to go back later that evening to have someone else adjust it. He was very friendly and saw that it was their mistake within seconds.
I called to extend my room. The agent told me that there were no rooms available, but when I checked online at their website they still had open rooms. I'm still not sure why I was declined to extend my stay. Also, we were unable to lower the air below 68 degrees in our room, and the shower took at least 10 minutes to get hot. Needless to say I will not be back to this location.
When I got my car back (Cadillac CTS/performance) the stuff in the trunk was all moved around and knocked over. This tells me that they drive my car like they stole it. Not appreciated. See above
The location of the property was great. It had to have been the worst stay I ever had at a property. We made a reservation weeks prior to our stay, when we checked in we were told that ther would be no food options because they were throwing a party. This should have been communicated to us on time of reservation. Plus the party could be heard rumbling throughout the property. Great. Sounded like it was next door. We asked for dog beds when we made our reservation and when we checked in No bed What a surprise. We called the front desk 3 time to make this happen. Would never book again.
The club level rooms with river view are gorgeous! Located in between two bridges that light up and right in the middle of River Walk, it is a great stay. The club lounge has breakfast in the morning (eggs, grits, bacon, sausage) and snacks throughout the day. Bottles of water and soda cans available too.
Checking in was excellent. Jairo - at the front desk - did a superb job. Day manager on duty once really solved my problem in regards to charging my GPS - excellent customer service. Valet Parking people were superb in providing customer service - they really like what they are doing - no matter the time of the day. Cleaning people forgot to refill restroom with toilet paper. One day beds were not made up, and forgot to refill in-room coffee maker with bags of coffee for next day.

This is an old hotel. It is clean but the beds and pillows are terrible. Hard and old. The bathroom has been redone which is nice but for 300 I would have expected nice Beds pillows no lighting in room. Only 2 lamps for large room
