Cons: Constant issues with room entry as card would work sometime and not other times. Also for second room, second day, they stated that we need to empty the room and constantly calling the room to leave. We had to proof to them with our confirmation number that it had been booked. Not even proper apology, just stated our mistake.

Pros: Renovated room experience lives up to expectations.
Cons: Hotel front desk staff gave us a not renovated room on the eighth floor and were very unaccomodating when we began to complain. It took a phone call to Kayak customer service and a face to face conversation with the hotel manager before they agreed to put us into a different room. This room had been renovated and had a full, unobstructed view of The Mediterranean. If you get stuck in an unrenovated room be prepared to experience an at best one-star hotel experience. The difference was shocking!

Pros: This was our second stay at the Antemare. All rooms were renovated during the last winter and are now comfortable, clean and quiet. They are decently sized and come with large terraces or balconies The staff is nice and helpful as always. Be aware that there is a 10 mins walk along the beach to the town center and the nightlife; not a bad thing considering how busy and noisy it can be during the summer months. In short, use your legs and sleep well. We will come back a third time.

Pros: This place is newly renovated and it was almost like driving a brand new car: clean and responsive. Our favorite part of our stay was how friendly the staff was. Everyone was welcoming and helpful yet gave us space to enjoy our vacation. Sometimes that is a hard balance to find. The pool area was beautiful and clean. The fact that this hotel is a little on the smaller side meant that there were plenty of chairs for everyone. The room was large and we had a great view of the pool and the city. The hotel is also very close to the beach. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Cons: The only thing I can criticize is that it is a bit of a long walk from the train station and the city center. Our walk to dinner was long, but that was totally fine though because we could easily walk up the boardwalk. Definitely take a cab from the train station if you have large bags.
