A good hotel in the center of the city with wonderful panoramic windows overlooking the symbol of the Russian Revolution - the cruiser "Aurora" and the main river of the city - the Neva. Friendly staff. Frugal breakfast. Usually in other hotels of choice food more.
Very kind view from the window to Saint-Persburg historical center epecially to river Neva. You can see the famous view with drawbridges at night from room. Internet, TV, breakfast, decoration, personal, safety - all need to be improved. Nowhere I see about 200 people around table in seach of any food at breakfast time.
The city and river view from the rooms facing the Neva river is just excellent.
The telephone number in the room, lift, breakfast, bankomats, souvenirs in vestibule of the hotel It was very cold in the room. The hotel isn't situated near the underground. The cost of the number was changed and the stuff want receive new payment when I leave at hotel. But when I arrived about changed the cost of number the stuff nothing say.
Breakfast was good. We were put in an old room with rust water coming from the fasset at first, however it was changed to new remodeled room upon request. New room was good, clean, nice view, but no safe box.
view on Neva from our room the girl at the reception can be friendlier it is their job
Friendly, clean, historical hotel. Excellent location by the river.
very nice location of the hotel, wonderful view from the window. very good breakfast, friendly personnel The building needs renovation , especially plumbing to remove bad odor and water leakage from the shower door. we would prefer softer mattresses also.
Gorgeous night river view with lightened erected bridges Personell may improve their english
Polite staff and clean room. A splendid summer terrace. A magnificient view and a convinent location to improve noise insulation in rooms
The breakfast was good and the view from the breakfast room was beautiful. Value for money was good. The hotel looks a bit dark, lobby and hallways. It is a big hotel. Easy to reach by metro and walking, but further from the centre than other hotels.
Brilliant river view from the window! best in city staff is absolutely unfriendly. No hairdryers.
the furniture during the breakfast - no bread, no knifes, no coffee (2x from 3 breakfasts)
Pleasant service (friendly helpful people), free internet, nice modern room, good shower, free umbrella when rain... Many TV channels but few international, breakfast could be better (esp. when you arrive later than the rest). Location: no fun in direct surrounding but when you like walking: no problem... you'll be at the Aurora in 10 minutes or so or in the city center in 20... easy to find location.
Clean, quiet and comfortable rooms (which are not such a common feature in Russia...). Staff was reasonably helpful. The breakfast quality and variety could be improved, but its is definitely sufficient.
clean, modern, comfortable. pleasant walk to metro for city reception not welcoming
The room and breakfast buffet were as described. The hotel was very accommodating for early check-in. Wi-Fi coverage in the room was very good.
Nice park nearby. The hotel provides bysicles for free for the guests. Free milk and biscuit for kid every evening. Soviet-style
Clean and comfortable. Good breakfast buffet. It was a little warm inside the room and the Wi-Fi in the room was spotty.
The Marmara hotel offers good facilities for a price that is lower than most other hotels in St. Petersburg. The hotel has a swimming pool, sauna and a fitness room that is free between 7 and 10 in the morning. At other times, you can use these facilities for 300 rub (about 8 Euro) per hour. Although, the hotel is situated outside the center of St. Petersburg, the center can be easily reached by trolley bus and Metro. Trolley Bus Line 6 brings you to the nearest Metro station in about 5 mins. and stops almost in front of the hotel. The time between the buses is between 10 and 15 mins. The Metro takes you in about 5 stops (20 mins) to the center of the city. I visited the hotel in a period that it was extremely warm in St. Petersburg (> 30 c). Normally temperatures are much lower. At warm days it is advisable to ask for a room that is not on the sunny side of the hotel. Because of the glass construction that extends out of the hotel, the rooms get very warm after some time.
The rooms are quite comfortable. During my stay there were problems with hot water during the day - highest temperature was about 30 degrees (which is not enough for shaving imho).
Internet connection was very very poor... too many breaks....
good breakfast and normal number we dont have hot water tonight
