Placing you within a 15-minute drive of Malecon and Uno, Garlands del Río offers an airport pick-up service (available on request) for USD 40 per person. You can take a dip in the outdoor pool and indulge in body wraps or mani/pedis. There's a poolside bar and a bar/lounge, and rooms at this upscale bed & breakfast get the details right with bathrobes and designer toiletries.

Pros: Great location along the river in what feels like a very safe, local neighborhood. Quick walks to the local markets, beaches, malecon, great street food, shopping etc. I think it might be the best location for someone who wants to see the less tourist driven areas of PV. The hotel is eclectic in a very romantic way. It feels intimate and you could easily make friends with both the staff and the other guests at the small pool and honor system bar. We would stay again in a heart beat.
