This Orlando hotel is 1.5 miles from Orlando Premium Outlets and 2.5 miles from SeaWorld Adventure Park, including Discovery Cove and Aquatica. Orange County Convention Center is 3.25 miles away.
Cons: This hotel is over priced for what it offers. Went for the weekend to Universal stayed here because it offered somethings we wanted when checking in they charge you for parking and wifi each day you decide to stay. Breakfast isn't included and cheapest thing is coffee which is $2.20 I don't recommend this hotel at all.
great hotel Pros: We didn't have any problems at this hotel. It was very inexpensive but totally clean, comfortable, and convenient.Cons: Just be aware that there is no continental breakfast, and that there is an extra fee (our was 6.75) when you get there!
Nice stay for cheapPros: The location was nice, we were right in the middle of everything. The pool was also nice.Cons: The pillows were uncomfortable and the vending machines didn't work.
Pros: The overall feeling of the hotel was elegant.
Pros: Quite, location was excellent.Cons: The carpets were stained, an extra $6 fee for booking through this system.
Pros: Location of the property.Cons: The air conditioner in my room did not work. Hotel staff was not helpful or concerned.
Beware of hidden feesPros: We like that it is quiet...plenty of cars in the parking lot but only bumped into one couple in the 4 days we stayed here.Cons: We didn't like that for a 3 night stay they charged another $45 in fees for internet and parking...that is nearly the price of another night's stay.
Nasty first floor hallway smell was disgustingPros: Close to attractions, love the pool and hot tub area, staff was friendly, barely anyone at the place, great price pointCons: The nasty smell in the first floor hallway. I saw many others also commented on that and I really don't understand why you can't have that fixed? Also, the info says there are towels by the pool, and there were not. Toilet paper holder kept falling off the wall (and again others had commented on this in prior reviews.) Get these things fixed and you will get better reviews and therefore more people will book with you.
Quiet get away!!Pros: Very quiet, beds were way too soft, housekeeping, needs to talk less and pay more attention to details, roof has cobwebs, drapes were very dusty needs to be swiffer, they never dust the head boards.. There's chewing gum on the wall fr pass guess, lamp shades r very dusty, and they never give u face cloth when they do room service, but linen was white and fresh, thank god,Cons: Hot tub was scratching!! I saw ppl got burn, and at one point too much chlorine, plus the swimming was wayyy too cold, i think they should design it so the water lion would spit out hot water fr the hot tub to the swimming pool, clothes got ruin fr the clorine in the hot tub, my bf got rash was too strong
Monumental Hotel Orlando:Pros: Quiet, inexpensive, nice pool area, lots of parking Cons: double beds, older hotel, front desk was hard to find on registration.
Pros: Location was good.
Rooms clean, if not requiring some modernization.Cons: Having to pay additional daily fees for Parking/Room Safe/Internet/Amenities.
These are basic, all-inclusive items in most hotels. Very deceiving.
The pool area was clean however, pool water was full of bugs and debris.
Hotel is not very well identified by the lack of a prominent sign on the highway. There is ore than one hotel on the site.
What looks like the check-in entrance is in fact not. Following the signs and disembarking under the canopy necessitated a long walk to the check-in desk. Not much fun when carrying heavy bags.
Seeing a camera on top of the Room TV - not necessary for any reason!!
Place seemed like a ghost town, and felt unsecure. Anyone could get in through the unlocked doors by the pool/canopy. These need to be locked and accessed by room card if not in the line of sight of the reception desk.
Convenient, Close to DisneyPros: Clean, value resortCons: extra costs of $70 for one day charged
