Car rental at Naxos Airport

The car rental agencies at Naxos Airport will want you to show proof that you have a valid driver's license before agreeing to let you rent a car. If this license is not from the European Union, you will need an international driver's permit All drivers, both primary and additional drivers, must be at least 21 years of age with at least one year of driving experience. If you're a younger driver (from 21-24), you will likely be limited to the type of car you can rent.

Most of the rental car agencies at Naxos Airport will expect to be paid with a major credit card such as Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. If you plan to use another form of payment, like a debit or prepaid card, you'll need to get pre-approval from the company. This decision is usually handled on a case-by-case basis as some restrictions may apply. For example, the rental car company might accept a debit card from a well-known financial institution but could reject others. Some car rental agencies might also let you pay with cash as long as they can use a credit card for the security deposit hold.

Along with a valid driver's license (an official license, no printed or digital copy), you should have a passport or another form of identification with you. You'll also need to bring and show the credit card that you used to book the car rental service.
