Pros: Location in the pedestrian-friendly Souq Wakif part with most of the restaurants and just next to the metro station. A very aesthetical hotel with traditonal Arab style decorations. A well equipped room, where nothing was missing. Great breakfast choice at the Lebanese restaurant 'Al Terrace' in the sister hotel 'Al Mirqab' just opposite, where also the reception is to be found.

Pros: Best location in Qatar. Breakfast was outstanding, we didn’t eat dinner there but it smelt really good. Our room was magnificent, we had our own private rooftop balcony. The staff were very friendly but you have to get used to the cultural differences. Men speak to men and women to women, don’t be offended it’s how it is. The Souq Waqif is such a thriving place at night, you spend hrs walking around looking at everything. Just past the bird market is a food place where they do meat on sticks and bread! It’s amazing! Top tip though, order your bread from the shop next door, get the cheese mmmmm.

Pros: Exquisite architecture, furnishings in the rooms high quality, art within , sensibilities with conscientious staff who far exceeded my experiences in America and Europe Excellent and authentic hospitality. The staff working at the hotel in the Patisserie and restaurant were wonderfully wonderful. The nurse, restaurant worker and Front Manager Samer El Bana who came to my rescue after a dizzy spell demonstrated unusual kindness and concern.

Cons: The bedroom of my suite was just by the quite busy Ali Bin Abdullah road, so there was too much traffic noise. Unfortunately the window doesn't have good soundproofing. Also the room was too cool, especially in the mornings, and even with the help of the staff it couldn't get fixed with the A/C switch.

Cons: Breakfast prices in the Patisserie were high. - Walid steered me to more affordable choices but if hoping for a light breakfast one must pay too much for not much. A beautiful buffet is offered for breakfast for those who begin the day with substantial amounts of food. A spa advertised as a Hammam is not. Avoid it if you are an experienced Hammam afficionada. Over priced for one person , promotions are for couples only. There is a strange sub text at the Spa, so much more business than pleasure - nothing of the Moroccan ambience and experience I have enjoyed in Marakkesh. This "Spa" is Thai. Uncertain if staff at this hotel is over worked and under paid but it is common in Doha Qatar . Doha relies upon serf labour. Long working days, 3 month work periods without time off in some cases and low pay in too many restaurants. The facts contradict the astonishngly informative and comprehensive Slavery Museum. Those days ae not over. Not quite. From economically disadvantaged or politically unstable countries, workers deserve respect, and fair pay with time off. Upon the backs of these hardworking men Doha is rising. Uncertain if staff at this hotel is over worked and under paid but it is common in Doha Qatar . The country that relies upon serf style labour is leaning heavily into hypocrisy.

Cons: 1) long time to do check-in, 30 mins although I checked in an hour after the offitial check-in time. So I was on late Check-in status.
2) I reserved three rooms. The first room they gave me was not ready.
3) after I left the room and come back, like 90 mins, I found out that the room service guy entered my room and took the card on the main switch, not only pulling it out. The room climet was too worm becouse of that.
4) The AC was drooping some condincate water.
5) Before I checked out, like an hour before checking out, I went to the reciption and asked them to give me a new card to make sure that it will open the room door. The reciptionest gave me a useless card and it did not open the room. This made be go back to them and ask for a new card again.

Cons: How can you sit someone at a noisy bar in The Cellar when they have expressed a wish to sit somewhere quiet, not once or twice but three times. A bar where over-attentive bar staff were watching your every move ready to jump in and lift the glass of wine to your lips or feed you from your plate. You need to teach your staff firstly some people, especially when they are tired, do not want over attention and in that case need to be sat in a quiet spot. It does not matter if I am one person sitting at a table for four (because you do not have tables that seat less). That is not my problem, it is yours and your designers. If you are a five star hotel, which after my stay I cannot agree with, you put your guests comfort first and not the possibi

Pros: The location of the hotel was very convenient. Salwa was easily accessible, making my husband's commute to work fairly easy. It is located only minutes from the Turkish Hospital. Our early morning travel to the Hamad airport was easy, as well. The staff was very kind and helpful, especially the Sri Lankan gentleman that cleaned our room. It was extremely quiet near our accommodations.

Cons: The floor gets wet when showering, creating a slip or fall hazard. The tub is higher than the flooring of the bathroom. This creates a slipping hazard when getting out of the tub. There are no hand rails to grasp.

Cons: I think there is different attention from the Hotel's administration between the Appatements and Hotel's rooms,where the appartements have less care and they dont give the residences of them same facilaties of those in rooms such as shampoo,soap,......,coffee,tea bags,..... Unless you asked and insist on that ! !

Cons: The hotel staff was so poor and there were no coordination. I sent my clothes for ironing and before sending I asked for the price. But during the check out the amount on the bill was dubled. Also when you try to learn something about the hotel procedure the receptionist says you something and room service something else.
