Pros: The price and convenience of renting the car and its proximity to the airport was great.
Cons: We picked up the car with 1/8th tank of gas but were told we needed to return the car full.

Cons: Picking up the car. Had to take a cab about a mile to pick up the car. The cab driver wasn't happy either. Budget shares the space with Avis but you can't use their shuttle.

Pros: Car was clean and process to pickup fairly smooth although location was changed.
Cons: Personnel at desk didn't really care about his job and told me I would have to deliver back to a different location even though this was where I had left my personal vehicle. I was then chided for bringing it back to the location where my vehicle was. Left a little poor taste.

Vandalism in hotel parking lot
Pros: Budget got us in a different rental after a window was broken out of the first rental car we had. They took care of us after such a traumatic event.

budget/kayak discrepancy with insurance
Pros: they were courteous, efficient, and the car was awesome! shuttle was right there at the airport and took us lickety-split back.
Cons: I purchased the insurance upon booking with Kayak but the Budget people did not have record of it and tried to sell me insurance for more $$ a day than I paid to rent the car....NOT. They said if something happened it might not cover...really??? $30 a day for insurance? don't think so budget.

Just as expected
Pros: Budget's shuttle was quick and easy, staff were very friendly and efficient. I was in and out with my car in just a few minutes, same on return.
The vehicle was clean, full tank, and modern (bluetooth, USB ports etc).
Cons: The car itself, Ford Fiesta, had a funky headrest and I wasn't able to recline the seat.

Didn't have the car i reserved; overcharged me.
Cons: Upon dropping car off, after being treated in a rude manner for the SECOND time by a Budget employee at the Vegas airport (the other time was when I picked up a car through Kayak at Budget on Dec. 4th), I realized that I had been charged more (OVERCHARGED) than I had originally agreed to pay for the car. And that came after they did not have the car I reserved and was forced to get a different vehicle that cost more. I agreed to pay more, but they were already overcharging me the amount for the original reservation. Unfortunately I didn't realize this until I was paying at the end.
Cons: I was looking for a rental car from Medford airport. I did not notice when the pickup location was switched to downtown. Thus, my rental cost was increased ~20%. Apparently, this happens often

Don't rent from here if your are flying.
Pros: Price was good.
Cons: You have to walk ¾ mile away from airport for your pickup and drop-off. They don't have a license from the airport to do business, so refuse to pick you up at the airport or drop you off there.
I had to walk down the road to a hotel parking lot to get my pick up. Just glad my luggage wasn't too heavy!
Also, the car wasn't very clean and had a broken center console.

Much cheaper than airport location Enterprise
Pros: Car was clean and well priced. Easy to drive. Drop off and pick up were both simple. Employees at the location were friendly and made the experience even better. Definitely recommended.
Cons: We weren't told that they would reimburse us for the cab ride from the airport to the nearby Enterprise location (as they couldn't pick us up due to a deal with the airport Enterprise location). If you do rent from this location, which is vastly cheaper than the airport Enterprise, be sure to ask about that.

Made reservation but couldn't get car.
Cons: They accepted my reservation online but I didn't find out until I got there that they wouldn't give me a car since I don't have a credit card. I think this inflexible policy needs some work. There was literally nothing I could do so I had to go to a competitor, where they were able to help me, though it cost much due to short notice. Enterprise was a waste of a booking and I will just use the competitor in the future.
Cons: They lied about the overall cost up front and charged a ridiculous amount upon returning the vehicle. I will NEVER use Hertz again!!

Worst rental car experience ever.
Pros: We liked nothing!
Cons: After filling out all of the paperwork we were taken out to the lot to review the car which had a big scratch on the red paint plus damage on the other side of the car. The interior of the car was soiled and interior dirty. We were told there were no other cars available. We decided to go to Avis and had a wonderful experience. A nice clean car with no scrapes or dents.

Pros: Drop off last cation was fine, the car was clean and had no mechanical problems.
Cons: I dropped by a few minutes early to pick up my rental. I wasn't in a hurry and could have waited. The agent told me that my car was ready and gave me the keys. However, he failed to mention that though my rental was $130 per day, it would be an extra $95 PER HOUR! I'm not sure how this is justifiable but whatever, it was never explained to me. This alone would not have been a problem because I returned the car 30 minutes early. The agent in Medford took the keys and told me I was all set. I asked him for the total charge and he said he didn't know and that I'd just have to wait for the emailed bill to find out. When I got the bill I found out that the car wasn't entered as returned until half an hour after I dropped it off and that I was being charged an extra $95. I was really upset and emailed billing support. I got a response from "Janet N" saying that they are right and I'm wrong and there's nothing they will do about it. I cannot recommend Hertz with this kind of customer service and will do my best to avoid Hertz in the future.

Pros: The young woman in Medford was excellent. But there should be no need to play the lottery when renting a car. I took the "way to high "extra charge of insurance to protect myself from Hertz "just in case" Hertz probably sees it as "an extra service" instead of an extra charge. I bought the tank of gas because I needed to catch a plane in Portland not because if was a fair way to do business. I paid 200.00 for two one way rentals, one with Hertz and one with Budget, and only drove them for less than 500 miles in total. I paid 192.00 to travel from Portland to Detroit. Not happy with ripoffs ever, Enjoy my hard earned money.
Cons: It should be law that an auto rental includes protecting the auto company and the customer completely in a fair price. You gave me a rate to get me to book, then handed me a pair of dice to gamble whether I wanted to risk tremendous personal financial personal exposure or pay a ridiculously high fee to protect myself. Airlines should start charging a fee for life vests and access to oxygen masks instead of including them in the price. Not likely to need them, but you never know? As a service industry, car companies are right up there in misleading advertisement. You see the price, but it always cost you double that or more. Unless you are a fan of gambling.

Pros: The Customer Service Agent at the Medford airport ticket counter was excllent. His name was Wyatt and he went out of his way to make sure that we were taken care of efficiently, and with a welcoming attitude. Thanks!
Cons: The Hundai Elantra has good features but doesn't shift very well. Maybe just this particular car, but it would shift into higher gears sooner than it should and then not down-shift as soon as it should have.

Cons: When I got there, after having a reservation they were closed! Closed! I went to the airport location where they said it would be around close to $60 more. I will never make a reservation here again.

Cons: Pick up address was an empty building. I called the number and they told me they had moved so got directions to new site. When I picked up I was told to drop off on Saturday by 5 pm. I got there about 1:15 pm and waited behind a man picking up a vehicle. When the agent returned she told me they close at 1 pm on Saturday and did not return until Monday. I was not happy. I refuse to pay for 2 extra days because they did not give me correct information.
Fast, easy, and no hassle to get what you paid for

Pros: I rented a car for my drive home to San Francisco when I got in the car there was sticky residue on the seats. Then within 5 miles of driving the oil change light appeared and continued to pop up my whole try. Was very annoyed specially because I was driving with my 7. Month old

Pros: The Jeep handled well on the mountain curves in inclement weather, held to the road in strong wind. Visibility was good, defrost effective. We like the roomy storage area, and the back doors which opened fully. This was first Jeep either of us had driven, and we found all the panel information, buttons and levers, clearly marked and easy to use.
Cons: The gas gauge did not seem to give reliable reading. We drove a major portion of our trip using, apparently, a moderate portion of available gas. The gas alarm light flashed on surprisingly soon after the gauge registered a quarter tank. We had projected our refill stop, and had to recalculate.
