My fiance really enjoyed the continental breakfast. The room was a bit small but the location is just half a block from countless historical landmarks and the subte.
The cost of the rate and the benefits are good. The breakfast is very good. The localization is very good too, next to the government house and 03 blocks from Florida. The amenities are poor, for example, no shower cap, even after my request.
The new tower is quiet and modern. The lobby of he old tower is bigger and more luxurious but my understanding is the rooms are older although I never saw them. They seemed to have certain websites blocked since Internet was working fine but some sites would not work in the hotel. Very strange.
Original art throughout the hotel, beautiful rooms, great showers, and a full breakfast buffet made our stay pleasant. Professional staff helped us with reservations for dinner and a tango show, and were great to deal with. A small pool on the top of the building was too crowded to use.
near all action in the city
excellent staff- very helpful with our trip travelling on from Beunos Aires
Excellent staff, Good Internet Faciliites and an excellent quality breakfast Nothing at all. Will choose everytime i am back in Buenos Aires
It is very clean, comfortable, and the location is great. The only staff that speaks English is the front desk, so if you want room service, laundry, or anything fixed by maintenance, you have to call the front desk and hope they aren't busy.
Good location, comfortable and clean.
They charged more than Booking.com had confirmed to me and I spent 45 min discussing. In the end they agree with me.
The hotel decoration and main halls are excellent.I've stayed in the Intercontinental club floors (17th floor) and rooms are excellent.
the staff were great(welcoming, discreet, efficient) everyone was helpful (tolerant ) of my spanglish and assisted where ever possible no
The staff were very helpful with booking shows, taxis and giving advise about transport and sights to visit. The hotel is located close to buses and the subway. The room was comfortable and clean.
Excellent hotel, really liked the loft, spacious and luxurious feel to it. Breakfast is great, up till 12 o'clock, great. noiselevel in the hotel is quite high. not something to really worry about, but the streetnoise and airco noise is getting some used to.
Staff at the reception was very professional, friendly en helpful. Rooms are attractive and spacious. Location is great. Excellent value for money.
The staff were all very friendly and spoke English. A kettle and coffee in the room would have been nice.
It cannot be beat for the price, especially the price I got through Kayak. Love the staff, Luis at desk could not be more helpful. Location is amazing if you like an arty part of town, but also near main historical attractions. I love it there and will go back. Wooden floor in room was slightly grungy, but not really horrible. Everything else was very clean. They ask for suggestions. The lobby is spacious and beautiful
large rooms, helpful staff, close to San Telmo Sunday market
This is the most amazing hotel I have ever stayed in. The décor, the friendly staff, the location. It's a pure experience. Proposed to my lovely girlfriend on the roof. Will definitely be back
Loved the big rooms. Very quiet even though the street gets busy outside. The staff is not the friendliest, but they get the job done. Great price.
The room was fantastic! We ended up with an incredibly spacious loft with a modern and tasteful design throughout. The staff were very helpful and attentive and the location is perfect. It doesn't look like much from the outside but it is an absolute gem inside and an incredible value. The continental breakfast leaves a bit to be desired. If the eggs were any more runny they'd be soup. But it's free and the toast, cheese, and ham can at least get your day started.
Good location, Nice rooms Breakfast is included but could be better.
The size of the room
Well positioned near downtown areas
Staff were incredibly helpful, professional, polished and friendly. Breakfast was yummy with plenty of food.
This is one of the largest hotel rooms--or room in general, for that matter--that I've ever slept in. It is an interesting space with a speakeasy vibe that would have been quite cool if there were not an ant infestation. I also have praise for the staff, who did their best to mitigate the ant problem after we complained, but we should never have been put into a room with so many ants in the first place. The room was crawling with ants, all the way from the door, down the long hall to the bed, and around the bed. We only stayed one night, but I probably killed about 40 in the few hours between when we checked in and when we went to bed. The ants were mostly on the ground, but their proximity to the bed unnerved my wife, who had trouble sleeping before a long trip home from Argentina to the U.S. When we complained, the staff brought us insecticide, which helped with the ants but still left my wife anxious (one might say, "antsy") all night. We should never have been put into the room in the first place, and the hotel should have offered a full refund for the night's stay.
Staff at reception was friendly. Hotel comes closer to 3 stars then four. Room was clean but outdated. Could not receive an invoice for accommodation-costs. Even after one week waiting the accounts-department has not been capable of sending it. A typical 3-star tourist hotel, not really suitable for businesspeople.
The excellent hotel location, very near the most important attractions in Buenos Aires (Calle Florida, Av 9 de Julio, Casa Rosada, Puerto Madero), in a safe zone even though it is downtown. The comfort of the room, the quality of the breakfast served and the clean installations. excellent! No
Wonderful hotel with very pleasant staff. Great room with comfortable bed. Should have CNN in English
Everything was done well, just not "boutique" (personal, unique, memorable, worth the extra money, etc.), but then I didn't pay a premium, especially for the desirable location.
The situation is excellent, just in the middle of the centrum, very near Plaza de Mayo and Casa Rosada. Still quite silent room, no noise from the street. The personal was very kind and helpful, and spoke good English. Breakfast was very good. When someone used shower in the neighbour room, the noise was heard very clearly. Fortunately nobody used shower at night. The view in TV was mirror image ?? It dìdn`t disturb much, because it is not so important to watch tv when travelling abroad.
Very friendly staff, fantastic location, good rooms with comfortable beds and powerful showers.
I liked the location the staff was not particularly helpful. Our first room was really small but we were able to switch to a room that was a bit larger
Very pleased with my stay there. Convient to everything
Location and staff! Room was a bit dirty upon check in but the staff quickly cleaned the room. Noisey
Very friendly staff. Comfortable room. Cleanliness. Centric location. They didn't seem to have duvet for a double bed, so they used one transversal blanket, which was unsufficient. The area around is a bit lonely in the night.
The staff is very responsive to requests and just plain friendly! The room was comfortable but rather small.
The location is very good. Rooms are clean, and the breakfast is good. There are no TV news channels in English. The computer available for guests was often not working.
Decent facility, good location and value when booking online. Nothing extraordinary. The host quoted us for a tango show at one price and we said yes, please reserve us tickets. They called back ten minutes later to say the seats had been reserved and the cost was now 4 times the original- each. When we said we didn't want to go anymore because of the price, the host seemed angry and upset. Every time after that the host was frosty.
Lovely hotel. Really enjoyed the decor and the feel of the hotel. We are actually coming back, we enjoyed it so much. Need to think through the organisation of self service at breakfast. You need more than 1 service point or at least a different one for coffee refills etc.I enjoy hotels which have a hint of grandeur and history. Some desk staff are great and welcoming. Others might like to improve on their attitude to guests.
Spa!, AM staff excellent, free wifi, many excellent dining choices within walking distance. One nightstaff seemed put off by helping guests
Central location, good spa facilities. Very dated rooms now in desperate need of modernisation.
The spa was OK though pitty that there is now swimming pool. It is certainly not a 4* hotel at least not the room I was in. However, in view of the price (90 $) i was not expecting a lot more.
worth the value paid.
The Spa The hotel room was completely different than it was on the pictures, it was old and dated and i wouldnt have bookt it if i would have know howthe rooms acctually looked like.
We had an unexpected room upgrade (which was great). Staff were very polite and friendly (when avaialbe). The location of the hotel is in a safe and good area for tourists. Room was well cleaned each day. Breakfeast was a chaos (no plates/cups at times, not much staff). Food would not be re-supplied when eneded. Hotel is oldish (but Clasical, which goes with the B.A experience). Rates are ok (not the best).
Good breakfast, good staff, willing to answer questions about directions and such, always helpful to help getting taxis. Room in itself looked better on the website than on real life. Hotel is a bit old and it shows a little in the accommodation, specially in the bathroom. They are working on it though, entrance and hallways look very sharp.
I didn`t like the hotel. The service is poor, the room is more then poor
It was clean, good Internet, good breakfast. I spoke in Spanish as much as possible, but my Spanish is weak. I felt some disdain for having to speak English with me by some employees. The bell man took advantage of my poor Spanish to call for some kind of taxi when there were many he could have stopped on the street - I was in a hurry to get to the airport. I believe I received a room upgrade. So some staff were good and others were not.
good localization; nice bathroom unconfortable bed and pillows; noise room (tv, ar conditioning from other rooms, hotel machines); breakfast with very few options;
The hotel is superbly located just steps from Plaza de Mayo and close to where the underground train lines converge. Hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating. If you plan to have a place to leave your bags while visiting the city this would be the place for you but DON'T expect to get what you see online. Upon arriving to the lobby you feel the "boutique hotel" style, until you enter your room. The pictures you see online don't represent what you get. The room was VERY small, sound isolation from other rooms was non-existent, and everything seemed dated. Even the TV on the online pictures showed a flat screen TV although my room had a CRT. It's 2014, people these things belong in museums, not in hotel rooms. Not even iron and board were available at the room. Once again, the bathroom was completely different from what I expected: old fixtures, stained bathtub, old toilet that gave me a hard time to flush, etc. My room looked liked the hostel rooms (Not the very cheap ones, of course) you would see in big European cities. Definitely not what I expected from a 4 star or even a 3 star hotel as it is advertised.
The hotel was centrally located and nice breakfast. The phone didn't work the whole time and they tried to repair it but it never worked. We were not compensated for the trouble!!! they recommened a place to see tango. When we got to the restaurant we felt like they were charging us a high price because we were tourist and they were about to close for the night. We didn't think that was very professional for the hotel to send us somewhere like that and not tell us they were about to close..
It was cheap and acceptable for the price. Nothing to brag about. It is a place to stay and sleep. Nothing more. Rooms were very small and noise from other rooms very noticeable. Would recommend but with these caveats.
its in great location, stuff are nice. no
The noise of neighbor
Very good location and staff Internet in the rooms very slow and sometimes not working
Very good breakfast and excellent service!!
Good location in Buenos Aires, near downtown touristic places. Nice front desk people, near Subte (subway), and good breakfast included in hotel rate. Carpets in tha hall needed vacuum cleaner. Bathroom needed more detailed cleaning. Furniture in rooms need to be renewed (closets i.e.),, TV Set was obsolete and with bad signal.
The staff very help full The room are very small
Great room, superb location Hotel was great!
The hotel location is good The breakfast is the same every day and the restaurant tables are not clean .
No bad points, every thing was excellent for our stay and everyone very helpful and friendly
Room was quiet and shower worked well. 3 blocks from subte/metrp relatively expensive for quality. no restaurant. staff spoke very little english
the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff
The staff were very accomodating & friendly. The breakfasts were good. We had dinner & it was excellent. The rooms were very clean. The room was very small. The location was not the best, but not really bad.
hotel is in the close proximity to San Telmo and other major sightseeing sights rooms are too tiny and the shower cabin is too small even for one person
WI-FI connection and the hospitable personal, good breakfast. Nothing wrong, it was old city hotel, luxury few decades ago.
Nice enough room for the price. Not much around the hotel. However not too far from San Telmo
Convenient and quiet, and in walking distance from city centre Small bedrooms and old carpets, but otherwise very clean and comfortable
Friendly staff who are very helpful in organizing and suggesting trips and/or activities. Good service and staff at front desk and restaurant speak english.
