We needed to spend a night close to the Brisbane airport. Kingsford Smith was perfect. The managers were wonderful! It is close walking distance to restaurants and the city boat that runs up and down the river. I wouldnt define the hotel as luxurious, but that was not what we were looking for. The room was spacious and extremely clean and like I said- the managers were great. They were extremely accommodating and gave us suggestions on how to get around and where to go.
Close to the airport (about $15 Uber ride). Very friendly staff. Comfortable room. Walking distance of Eat Street Markets.
Good for travelers that dont want to spend all their time indoors. wonderful place to sleep :) price and location perfect.
The staff was incredibly friendly and welcome. The room was clean and location pretty close to the airport. Our flight got changed so we ended up needing a place to stay the night in Brisbane and the best western was perfect!
Not really near to the airport. Would have been helpful if cab drivers knew the location. Very good for short stay though.
Airport location The cover on the bed was awful, It was very noisy and every time anyone moved it sounded like plastic. We got no sleep that night. As for the next question. the Motel was good but for the bed.
We wanted to stay fairly close to the airport without hearing the air traffic. The accomodation was exactly what we wanted
Nice and helpful at arrival Nothing in particular
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Fellow travellers loved the pool too.
This hotel was really bad and spoiled the first day in Australia of our family. The room was not clean with bad smell. The pool was just in fromt our room and we found that mant insects were floating. The worst factor was the staff who I met in the reception. He is the person that I never want to meet again. I don't understand why this hotel is rated at 4 star.
The location was on a very busy main road with traffic all night passing by. To safely drive onto the forecourt you had to be driving in the direction which allowed you to pull off without crossing oncoming traffic. Loose cabling in plastic conduit across the floor. Sharing toilet and shower facilities with adjoining room by having to knock first before entering. Walls paper thin.
too expensive considering the offered comfort and equipment.
Excellent position to airport. Friendly staff.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. It is clean with all required facilities, and close to the airport.
close to ferry and other public transport very helpful staff good parking no elevator, lugging heavy bags up stairs is a less than enjoyable task. pillows very very hard shower head wouldn't stay up
friendlyness staff was positive I was shocked by the sheer number of ants on and in my bed when I woke up. Although I did not bring any food in the hotel, my pillow, bed and bedsidtable where infested with insects. No elevator in the hotel and no staff to help you carry. If you are sleeping on teh second floor and not able to carry your own suitcase, you are in trouble. My creditcard was charged on booking although the hotelinfo suggested otherwise.
Our welcome was warm and friendly, simple, and uncomplicated. I felt like a family friend coming to stay for the night, or a regular returning to my favorite home-style restaurant. The room was unpretentious and everything I was looking for. I liked the (unmistakably original) retro feel of the place, and it was perfectly situated between the city and the airport for our one-night stay before an early morning flight.
I found the desk staff to be very friendly and helpful. I appreciated the help they gave my daughter on my behalf when our flight was delayed from NZ. Location was good. Within walking distance to ferry to city and restaurants Tiny bathroom, but overall hotel was adequate for an overnight stay
Room (#14) for second night's stay was quite pleasant. Location is convenient for the airport. Staff were very helpful with dining suggestions and driving directions. Road noise from Kingsford Smith Drive was a minor issue on first night (room #21). Balcony doors not very soundproof.
Free internet. LArge room Room smelled badly. Bathroom poor.
i chose it becuase it was close to bretts warf and easy to get too. i thought it said western but then had a Sombrero and mexican colours on a board in the dining area. Thats not a negetive thing, just a bit confusing.
Friendly staff, willing to help poor Canadains who had never been to Australia before. They were great. Thank you.
