easy access to everything . we will be staying again on way back
the place was very clean for the four days we stayed. The room did not get cleaned during this time but i'm sure if we asked for new sheets it would have been provided. Ignore other comments that toilet roll and fresh towels can't be found, simply ask nicely at reception. The pool is a very big bonus and it was nice not to be staying on Khao San Road.
Location and that it was clean en cheap! Tha staff is terrible! Unfriendly and this in Thailand, one of the most friendliest country in the world! Most of them are unwilling to help and speak poorly english. But it is cheap and clean and that is more important.
Location and convenience of nearby facilities The staff weren't as friendly as I remember them being from last time (Summer 2007)
location is good, quick check in and check out, cleanliness of room, quiet night air conditioning didn't work
It was quite comfortable to stay this hotel. No luxury but you can just relax. The room was quite tidy and clean. If you adjust water level you can have hot shower. Good value for money. After you check out you can leave your baggage at storage room with guy standing outside for 20THB /baggage/day,up to 3 month. Reception is always busy with guest arriving and leaving all day long. Plaza has lots of Indian owned shops and they are standing outside all day long and watching you walking past or tried to catch you as a customer.
The roof-top pool was nice, decent breakfast buffet. The staff was very unfriendly and rude, not helpful at all. Part of the hotel does not have elevator service. The first room they tried to stick me in was a 3rd floor noisy walk-up. The room looked old and unkept. I tried to get another room but the receptionist claimed all rooms were booked, (she was not professional at all). I decided I wanted my money back, but she said I had to pay for one full night if I canceled. I asked to speak to the manager who wasn't there. She called the manager and I told her I wasn't happy with the current situation. They finally found a small pint size room on the 5th floor with an elevator, but I still found the room to be old and tired looking (AC didn't work properly). I stayed the night and put up with lots of noise due to the bad acoustics in the hallway, and bathrooms that vent into the hallway which cause more noise, stink, and humidity. (I didn't get any type of compensation for moving into a smaller 1/4 of the size room) The next morning (2nd night) they moved me into a large room on the other side of the building, which I found clean. AC, TV worked fine. Unfortunately again the hallways were very noisy, other guests were loud. I would skip this place if your looking for a good nights sleep. Your definitely not going to get it unless you drink a case of beer. Cheers!
Perfect location! Close to Khaosan Rd but far enough to still be quiet at night. Harder for solo traveller to meet other travellers, very large hotel.
swimmingpool; international lelevision; incheck and outcheck takes too much time
Stained sheets, hair in drain and on floor, unfriendly staff at check-in, pool only open 8-6 when we would have wanted to use it after 6
Friendly helpful staff and clean passages and rooms. Great pillows! None
Staff wasn't pleasant
the staff were so accomadating when we were checkin out.they stored our bags, and gave us towels to shower before we left the hotel for the airport. the only place we ate whilst in Bamgkok was in the hotel restaurant, whilst on our flight back to Ireland my friend got extremely sick with food poisining from the dinner we had the night before.
Free internet via WIFI is good.
Nice restaurant facing the river. The description of the room as "City View" is very misleading. Should have been "Slum View". It was very noisy and the view was of a depressed slum. We had to keep the curtains on to avoid seeing the outside and the people from the building across the street seeing into our room.
It is new (you know a new hotel is better than the same category one not new), in the center, well communicated, and good views. Very difficult to talk to staff. English is not the best in Thailand. They are also new in the job and they do not control very well their duties and explanations to the customer
Roof top pool, closeness to restaurants, bars, stalls etc, the hotel restaurant is great My view. I booked a delux city view which I paid extra for but only got a view of the road and pub opposite
I like the location of the hotel; on the river, near khao san area. I like having a balcony. I felt the price is too high for what the hotel is. I stayed here 2 years ago for half the price, which I felt was a good price; for the price they charge now, you can find better.
The hotel has balkony with a view to Chao Praya. Location is also very good. Breakfast was really good and the you can have it on a terrace which has a view to the river. Hotel staff couldn't speak well in English.
The room was very nice and clean and the staff was generally friendly and helpful. The location is also very good, in a walking distacne from the main sights (Palace) and restaurants and bars.
The location was quite good . 2 steps to express boat on river chao praya Rooms with cityview are very very lound due to live musíc played every night nerby.
Great location, nice rooftop swiming pool Restaurant staff, poor breakfast
Cool style, lots of food options and rooftop pool. Khao San road is too busy, the road was very noisy and the doors were thin.
nothing If you like noise, you can stay here, if you like a small room, you can stay here if you prefer dirty beds, you can stay here. High price, low value hotel, 2-star motel even better than they are.
Boutique hotel in a great location. Locked luggage check was very nice feature.
Location Hotel facility and room are only 3 star rated
Nothing Very unpolite staff,nasty attitude,ugly room,very noisy,noise from inside and outside,poor towels.
The location isn't bad if your young and wanting to drink/ party. Khao San road is literally right outside the hotel and there's always a happy hour going on and tons of restaurants. Bed was as hard as a rock. I didn't get one good nights sleep the entire time I was there. Front desk tried swindling me when I checked in, arguing that I didn't pay for my stay and that I needed to even though I had a confirmed email saying it was paid for in full. Room smelled of stale smoke. Even the towels. Wifi continuously booted us off and the password is only good for an hour or two max, so we had to continue going downstairs to grab a new one. Ladies at front desk weren't helpful at all, with any questions that we had. I wouldn't stay here again.
nice, room, clean, swimmingpool is very nice
Love the Khao San Palace...central location...plus TV, Cable and very clean rooms make this a good choice for anyone seeking to experience Khao San Road area... Music from area bars could barely be heard at night...but only slightly...
It is very noisy until 2.30 am every night, music from different places on the street reaches you.
It was quiet, even though it's right on Khaosan Road. It was a little dated, but good for the price. However, they were advertising a lower price than I booked on booking.com for!
Prime location of the hotel, right in the heart of Khaosan Road. Also a 7-11 store is next door as well as a pharmacy and travel agent. The place is filthy, my room had ants crawling everywhere, on the floor and on the walls in the bathroom. Told reception which sent a cleaner who seemed to have a look and do nothing. Also my room had not been cleaned for 3 days.
Great location - you are bang in the middle of the Khaosan Road - which is mental with street sellers of every kind. Rooms are nicely decorated and have a flat screen tv & dvd player. No free wi-fi but you can buy minutes for a decent price - or go to a restaurant with free wi fi. Additional bed is a dodgy camping bed that is not overly sturdy! Can be noisy as you are in such a central location but air con is noisier so drowns it out!
Nice roof top pool can get overcrowded so pop your towels down early but in the heart of Khaosan Road so couldnt ask for a better placed hotel.
Helpful check in staff. Clean and tidy. Rooftop pool. Great location. 7-11 next door. Had to get a more expensive room than hoped for due to availability. No breakfast, pool is small and cold with limited loungers. tv is small and fixed to the top corner of the room.
The air conditioner did not work for the three nights we stayed and the staff were not prepared to compensate us for the inconveniance. The stay here was very uncomfortable and we would not recommend this place to our friends.
The pool has a great view and offers a wide range of drinks the pool was a bit dirty, my room was right outside of construction, very basic, no thrills, no windows.
I didn't like the room, no hairdryer, old linen and towels, loudy air conditioner, reception wasn't friendly nor helpfull, no internet connection, my room was not cleaned during my stay. Definitely will never stay again or recommend to anybody as well.
Great location, pool on the roof and good service from staff.
I loved the location. I would definitely stay in that area. Close by all great parties and shopping. .. They charged me for pillow cases and sheets after they took my deposit. Pissed me off
Very close to Khao San Road but not noisy, good price, comfortable beds. Walking distance from many restaurants and stores. Not the cleanest, bugs in the room, staff not friendly. Basically this place is a classic "you get what you pay for." The rooms are very basic but not the best, but the location is good and the price is a good value so this place is good for young travelers looking for a cheaper place to stay in the middle of a fun area.
Promotion price, location, staff I was offered a more expensive room with two single beds because they were full. The travel agency at the hotel did not meet all its commitments.
The location is the best. It's a horrible hotel. The room is very tiny, like a jail. Noisy, dirty,... There isn't a fridge in the room. No elevator. You can choose better hotels in the area with better price
The staff and location are very nice Just found some small insects( ants?) which is a little bit annoying
The cost seemed a bit expensive. Also, it was very noisy
very good location for see the Bangkok everything is OK
The best beds in Thailand! At least amongst our 10-day, budget stay accommodations. The room was small but the sleep was amazing, and the room was amazingly quiet for being so close to the heart of the backpacker district. I'd even recommend this place to families since it was quiet and there was no craziness around it. We had a great experience there: we were even allowed to check in at 10am with our choice of rooms, for which we were extremely grateful (a night on the train makes one yearn for a shower!). No free breakfast, but there's plenty around that you can forage. Also the lobby is often used by departing tour groups to other places, which was annoying when we needed a place to sit down there. Really minor things, this place is great!
great location, close enough for the action on Khoa San but far enough away to get some sleep.
It was relly near Kao San Road but the street was quiet to sleep, good value for money Bathroom a bit small
Clean room on a great location and there's always someone to help carrying your luggage up and down the stairs. Free wifi! Good value for money Weak tv signal but who wanna watch tv when khao san road is down the road?!
Good location. Quiet. Close to the action. Staff pretty slow. They had a printout of my booking with my complete credit card number on it just lying around... not very secure!
