access to metro and downtown vancouver without all the bustle. Breakfast was good too! no
Location Room was freezing in the basement No one to greet you More like a hotel then a B&B
For a NYE reservation when the city is overpriced, it was a pleasant surprise. Bedroom was in bsmt by laundry but Heritage houses often moldy smell this wasn't at all. Location by skytrain and major bus routes, white spot across street No one there upon arrival (NYE) to show me room. Problem was painters rearranged room numbers so I wandered long time and discovered my key gave me entrance to other's rooms. Yep, same key multiple rooms. Not good. No ice, no one to check out with.
Close proximity to business being conducted and short ride to downtown area. Rooms clean and comfortable.
The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect.
The continental breakfast saved me much fussing. One of the two nights, there was a lot of loud talking and laughing in the corridoes in the middle of the night but that's hardly the hotel's fault.
Location, location, location. Breakfast included a variety of options such as hard boiled egg, croissants, muffins, bagel, etc... Old carpet in room. I was hesitant to step on it barefooted. (I should have brought a pair of slippers)
Close to our kids home. It was fine.
The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating and the room was clean and quiet. The TV's are outdated and I was unable to hook up even basic RCA cables, and the windows don't do much to dampen the sounds from the road.
Staff was great.. room was clean & comfortable. Breakfast was OK. Location was convenient for travel into downtown. Located on a very busy street - vehicle noise came in through air conditioner.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable, and the staff was pleasant and accommodating. We stayed here before and after our Alaska cruise. It was a short taxi drive to Canada Place and cost half what a hotel in the Cruise Terminal area would have. There was a nice hot breakfast with a great selection of food; something for everyone. When we returned from our cruise, we were able to check in immediately with not problems even though it was 11am. There is a grocery store across the street and a nice little italian restaurant next door with delicious food and good service. Oh, and last, but not least, the hotel has windows that open! We really enjoyed the nice weather and the fresh air. There was nothing about this hotel that we didn't like. We would definitely recommend it and would stay there again if we have a reason to be in Vancouver.
Location is perfect if you don't want to spend to much money most downtown hotels want....all you need is Bus #19 or #8 and in 20 minutes you are in downtown....also the hotel rooms are quite nice....I loved the beds...so soft and big...nice facilities in the room (fridge, microwave, tea/coffee maker) the Breakfast was quite poor....Continental Breakfast was booked and we were happy with it until we arrived....all they have is Tea/Coffee, Apple/ Orange Juice, Bagels and Pastries...only that the Pastries and Bagels are stored in big boxes underneath the buffet which meant they stood there for some days....obviously that is something you taste in Pastry as it becomes dry and old
We loved the convenient location of the Best Western Uptown. The beds were really comfortable, the room was clean, and we couldn't hear the other guests. We were right across from the elevator and we never noticed any additional noise. We would recommend this hotel to our friends and family. The heater/air conditioner was noisy. It would have been nice if there was a remote control to adjust the controls.
Location good, free internet, but only one station. WiFi if you have your own computer A bit pricey, but otherwise OK
Delicious breakfast, classic b&b feel. Very close to the train, easy to get to, easy to get downtown.
Great location and skyline views. Near phenominal restaurants and the train and bus lines get you around Vancouver with ease. Leslie, the host, was accommodating and had great tales to tell about the area.
The B&B was very charming. It was a quick drive from downtown and within walking distance of the Queen Elizabeth Gardens. There is a fun night life happening just a few blocks south.
good bed, free parking and great breakfast.
Bath was good, breakfast excellent! The bees and the area
It was really hard to communicate with the person checking me in, she had no English. The room we had was spartan at best, not like the pictures at all. There is no breakfast provided but there is a shared kitchen... not sure if we were allowed to use it. At least it was cheap and close to some fun areas of town.
