Avianca El Salvador is a dependable airline operating in Latin America, with a primary hub in San Salvador. The carrier runs services to more than 10 countries throughout South America, the Caribbean and North America with a focus on Honduras, Mexico, Colombia and Ecuador. Connections to the United States have also been developed, with routes available to both the west and east coast.

Belonging to Avianca Holdings, the carrier is associated with a number of branded subsidiaries across Latin America countries, such as Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru and Nicaragua. The grouped partnership of airlines allows each to increase operation flexibility and share facilities within the region. Benefits are passed down to customers and include connected services and smooth transfers.

Joining the Star Alliance in 2012, Avianca El Salvador made a decisive move to offer a more global product. The alignment with members that include United Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Lufthansa, Air Canada and Air China provides a wider reaching network and allows passengers to purchase round-the-world tickets. The association also means that Business Class customers are able to access Star Alliance lounges in more locations. A separate codeshare agreement is maintained with major Spanish carrier Iberia.

Exclusively Airbus aircraft make up the fleet. There is a preference for medium-distance jets with slim bodies, as Avianca El Salvador focuses on trips that are less than 5h. Models within the A320 family are regularly flown, carrying roughly 150 passengers. Both Economy and Business Class are available, with the upgraded section containing only 12 seats and offering more privacy. Noise-cancelling headphones are also supplied.
