This is a terrible airline. Worst seats I’ve ever encountered. Avoid at all costs!
Pros: Cheap fare
Cons: I have a small carry on bag. They said it was too large and I had to check it. They measured it and said my wheels would be outside the allowed length. So they insisted I check my 8kg bag and charged me $50. I have used this bag many times on Spring and other airlines without issue. It's small. Very sneaky by them.
Pros: Uncomfortable seating that cannot recline on a red eye flight from S’pore to Shanghai
Pros: That the flight was on time
Cons: No drink. You can't change the chair position. And i'll never meet a airline luggage weight allowed 15 kg
Almost worth the cheap price
Pros: Nice crew No frills Relatively efficient boarding Cheap!
Cons: The incessant in-flight promotion thing was insufferable, would maybe be a deal breaker in the future... I actually asked them to stop 10 minutes in to it and they stopped it! It's the longest I've ever spent in a baggage line. I think their strict baggage policy probably leads to EVERYONE checking bags, which makes the whole process really arduous. No food, no entertainment.
Flight to CTS from PVG
Pros: The crew was very nice and the plane was comfortable. Would fly again anytime.
Cons: Only 15k luggage. Terribly misleading on price
Most uncomfortable plane I've ever been on
Pros: The crew was fine. Polite.
Cons: I'm 185 cm and couldn't sit straight in my chair. I get that it's a budget airline, but the 3 hour flight felt like 13 hours. Way too small for the price. Would not book again for anything over 1 hour. They also seen to be quite slow, as the flight was delayed 30 minutes without apparent reason, explanation, or even notification.
If they do fly, they are doing fine! Cheap, peaceful, no distractions!
Pros: Friendly staff, perfectly quiet flight, most of the people slept. As known food and drinks have to be paid as you pay a small price for the flight. Many bring their one food and drinks which is wise especially if you like your beer cold. They try to help you book alternative flight with other airline if they surprise you with cancelling their flight. You probably even get the money back (I had paid with Visa so I am still waiting!)
Cons: Flight to Hongkong was cancelled after checking, you do not get food or a hotel if they offer to take their flight a day later. They helped us book a same day flight with China Eastern which differently from Europe we had to pay ourselves. We had not known about these differences, it was our first time to China. Seating space is adequate for most Asians but not easy to handle for long legged Europeans. Food on board is so and so but cheap. We recommend Spring to low budget flyers. Asian calmness and friendliness is amazing, we can learn from them!
I feel very happy
Pros: All is great!!!
No major problems
Pros: Quick check-in and boarding.
Cons: Flight was delayed 30 minutes. No beverages served.
Flight crew is absolutely clueless and unprepared
Cons: It rained upon arrival to Shanghai, and the airline didn't have covered stairs to get people off of the plain and on to the bus. So their solution was to allow people to brave the rain if they felt like it. This led to half the plane getting off and the other half being held up by a few passengers in the middle of the plane who were afraid of getting a little wet. The crew would have just stayed there for hours waiting for the rain to stop, had passengers behind me not gotten angry and started yelling.
Pros: Quick check in.
Cons: Flight delayed.
Worst flight ever
Cons: Departure was 2 hours late Seat pitch was the smallest I have ever experienced Seats did not recline No support for my connection in Shanghai Will never use this airline again
On board Spring Airlines flights, cabin baggage should not exceed 40x30x20cm. If your hand luggage is bigger, the Spring Airlines assistance team will most likely ask you to pay extra for checked luggage.

Airbus aircraft are exclusively flown. A strong preference is held for narrow-body twin engine jets, such as the A320 family of planes, due to their impressive fuel efficiency and suitability to flying short-to-medium distances. The A320-200 is one of the most commonly flown and can carry roughly 180 passengers in a 3 x 3 cabin configuration. The fleet is decorated with a simple white and green color scheme that features the Spring Airline’s logo in yellow on the tail.
