The location of the hotel was right in between of where I needed to be. Rooms need a bit of maintaining. Bathroom walls had been patched over 10 times in the shower alone. Mold was a small issue but house keeping was trying to clean it but it was there so long it wasnt going nowhere.
It was very nice to have a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker . Nice pillows and air conditioner worked well. Good parking. The breakfast area was also nice. We had blinds but no curtains with a window to a lighted walkway. We would have liked more than two towels and warmer blankets. There were several hairs that weren't ours. The carpet was very sticky and black seemed to be coming off the pattern on it. I think the humidity in Savannah might contribute to that. Staff seemed kind of distracted and tired but nice.
It appears as if people above me (3rd floor) loved there and did not care about their surroundings. Constant door slamming , stomping - did not let me sleep!
Room was safe. Bathrooms were clean. Breakfast is decent. There are limited stairs & elevators available. Room service is not 24/7, so we had to change our own sheets. Room numbers are split into Odd & Even. Not sure if I'm a fan of that.
This was my first time staying in Savannah somewhere that wasn't off the interstate, and it was nice to drive through Savannah to get to the hotel. It made it feel closer to downtown even tho it's about a 20 minute drive. It's a good value hotel that gives you everything you need if you're a budget traveler. It would be nice if they somehow let you know that the first two floors have outside doors and the third floor has inside corridors. Luckily, I was put on the third floor, as I vastly prefer inside corridors, but some people might like to know. The only other thing is that the coffee is permanently in the lobby, which is nice, but I couldn't find it at breakfast in the morning. Might be nice if they put up a little note telling you it's available in the next room.
The room price My room was not great. Worst was the mold growing on the wall by the shower. The mattress was very uncomfortable. You could feel the springs pushing out the side of the mattress as you laid on it. The furniture in the room was eclectic or disjointed. It didn't go well together. Seems like the owners mean well trying to provide affordable pricing but I would not recommend this place.
Inexpensive, employees are friendly, adequate parking The bathroom had stains on the toilet, shower curtain, and on the walls of the shower that looked and smelled like fecal matter.
There were hairs that hadn't been swept.
Clean! Breakfast was pretty lame.
Hotel was safe & clean. Location was perfect for the price. 5min Uber ride to Historic District and walk the rest. The bathroom was a closet w/no ventilation. Had to shower with door open. Fitness center was small & the equipment was in poor condition.
The staff is wonderful. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The breakfast is above and beyond. A wonderful variety for all ages and diets. The scrambled eggs and sausage are always a nice surprise. Last, parking is never a problem; plenty of room for everyone. There is nothing we didn't like. Everything at this new Baymont is wonderful.
Hotel, room and grounds were neat and clean. Staff were friendly and courteous and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Good value for the price charged. The only complaint I have is the coffee tasted like instant coffee.
My boys enjoyed the pool and the beds were really comfy The water pressure and the temperature in the shower wasn't all that great. The water was lukewarm.
Good place for short stay. Located within a short drive to places of interest. Free parking a plus.
We drove from out of town to attend a wedding and our rental car broke down right in front of the hotel. The staff went out of their way to help us. We round up having the car towed back to my sisters house in Jacksonville due to the bootleg rental car company we used did not answer any of our calls. The front desk staff made many suggestions and were beyond helpful. Hotel is super clean and easy route to get to the Historic District. Will definitely stay here again! Leaving my San Diego Padres hat in the room. Totally not the hotels fault :) Didn't realize we left it until we were back home.
During part of my stay the pool was down (out of order ).
The beds and pillows are the best!! Quite and clean! Can't think of anything I didn't like!
The hotel is only about a 15 minute drive from historic Savannah and about 25 minutes from Tybee Island. The location was wonderful; it's close enough to plenty of stores and restaurants. The room was very clean. They had breakfast and coffee available in the morning. The water pressure was great but paired with the shower head it made for a painful shower.
It was close to all the attractions. It was clean comfortable and the staff were nice. I have no dislikes.
Went to ask about check in at 9AM and I was able to check in right then. The entire staff made sure I was taken care of.
The room was a non-smoking but it smelled of smoke
Made our reservations months ahead of stay and our room was not available when we got there. Our didn't get cleaned till we went to the front desk at 6:00 p.m. and then got charged for internet that we didn't use...
Accessible room could not have been further away from the elecator plus far too few handicap parking spaces. Room was poorly equiped with only one poor office chair. Poor quality for this name and price
I liked everything. I wish I could have stayed lounger. The flat screen was the perfect size for the room and the bed was sooooo comfortable. Fell asleep fast and went into a deep sleep quickly. I woke up feeling so rested. I woke up at freaking 7ish in the a.m. Who does that on vacay. We did because we sleep so well!! No continental breakfast :/
Reasonably priced. Very noisy - I heard every door close and people walking and talking in the hallways at all hours. A long way from Savannah's charm.
Clean comfortable room, an easy 15 minute drive to downtown Savannah. Construction on a new hotel next door made the hotel hard to access.
It was a nice room, but seems the hotel needs some TLC Roaches crawling in the room. 1 or 2 seen Plumbing issues - Sink and tub do no drain
We walked in and walked out. We paid for 2 nights and still left. I wouldn't recommend staying
Very clean, spacious room, friendly staff. Will definitely stay here again.
