Consisting of two 19th-century Rome palazzos at the corner of two quiet streets, this hotel is just 100 metres from the Trevi Fountain and 200 metres from Via del Corso's shops. The hotel is 5 minutes on foot from the Spanish steps.
Don't ruin your vacation by staying here. We spent 5 days at Hotel Trevi and never stayed in hotel. We spent first two nights in apartment building that had sign upon entering warning about repeated robberies and to ensure that outer door was shut. The room was located at the end of the hall and the apartments above had a second security gate residents had to go thru in order to get to their units. There was a outdoor patio above our room and it was so noisy we couldn't sleep. Changed rooms after two nights and was given a room in the basement of another building. The room was musty and very damp. It appeared to be a converted storage room in the basement. There were no other rooms down there. But at least it was quiet. The Hotel as far as I am concerned is running a scam by not informing guests that they will not be staying at the hotel when you book. Many good hotels in the area avoid this one.Pros: Hotel Location was good, but never stayed in hotel. Hotel has rooms several streets away in apartment building basements and that's where we stayed.Cons: Hotel puts guests in rooms several streets away in the basements of apartments buildings. Dark unsafe completely alone when entering apartment buildings.
