Comfortable bed and fantastic location with easy access to Manhattan, a subway station round the corner, a fab market/deli/grocery store across the road that sells anything and everything, and other shops and coffee shops. Good soundproofing and no outside noise.
Very noisy lifts that you can hear from the bedroom, sofa bed not made on arrival and no extra bedding available in the room, had to ask the only available member of staff who spoke little to no English. The place was heaving on a Sunday morning but the breakfast room is far too small to accommodate all the guests so we had to stand in a corner until a table became available. Breakfast quality is mediocre at best. Would stay there again because it's affordable and because of the fantastic location, and you can get breakfast from the place across the road!
the bedno complainThe staff was
Excellent location, 2 blocks from Queensboro bridge subway station & bus stop. Clean and quiet. Hot & cold deli foods and groceries available at mini-market across street. Excellent Afgan restaurant 5 blocks North.
Facilities a bit run down. Stains in carpet, furniture, broken light fixtures, etc. Slow internet. Owners are milking it for cash flow, minimal maintenance.
The location was the only good thing.
I am not sure why it is so hard for basic cleanliness. The towels were yellow and stained, there was a massive blood stain on the mattress that you could see through the paper thin white sheets, there was a used bandaid stain also on the sheet. The comforters were gross. The carpets also had what look like to be blood stains, the toilet has not been cleaned and the bathroom was so mouldy. This is coming from someone who has no issues staying in hostels, the place is pure filth.
Friendly front desk staff Good location close to metro.
Room was dirty. There was boogers(snot) on the wall near the bed. The bath tub and sink were dirty(hole in sink was gross). Was happy I brought Clorox wipes with me.
