Pros (+) Given I had no choice but to stay in a hotel for the night due to a flight cancellation I picked the Days Inn-JFK Airport. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the front desk. Cons (-) The surrounding neighborhood leaves much to be desired. There are no restaurants in walking distance. Pros (+) Close to the airport. Airport shuttle runs every hour. Was clean and comfortable. Free breakfast was really great. We were able to leave our luggage after checkout and go to get something to eat before catching the shuttle to the airport.
Cons (-) Small space for four people and lots of luggage. Not much around in walking distance.

Cons (-) Due to overbooking (which is hotel's fault), the hotel had rebooked us at another hotel farther than we had originally planned for. Further, they did not even care to inform us about it before arriving at Days Inn in the wee hours of the night. If you rebook us somewhere else due to YOUR error (overbooking), have the courtesy to inform your patrons!
