Overall good stay
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Location is great if you know how to move around using public transportation.
I didn't like that there was no outlet in the bathroom to plug in my straightener and curling iron.
Outstanding everything and love Americans
Breakfast could've been better
Location was fantastic, extremely close to a metro station that you could take to pretty much wherever in Paris you wanted to go. Whilst the hotel was very luxurious (especially after a free upgrade to the executive suite) the immediate area around the hotel was rather grubby, with some intimidating homeless stationed not too far from the main entrances. The facilities were great, a nice looking gym on the 3rd floor, the pool was very nice albeit a little smaller than the photos make out. The restaurant was reasonably priced, and the food was decent. The hotel staff very friendly and spoke a variety to languages and I felt there was no real language barrier. The hotel room was very comfortable and clean and could not be faulted.
Surrounding area a little scary in contrast to the niceness of the hotel. Walls are rather thin, and could hear the surrounding guests quite clearly.
Seeing France by train is perhaps one of the most relaxing ways to experience this fascinating country. The Novotel Paris Gare de Lyon is conveniently situated directly next to the station making it an ideal base from which to explore the city's many attractions. Luxury and convenience The Novotel Paris Gare de Lyon is a four star hotel which features an indoor pool, a fitness center and free WiFi access throughout the hotel. The air-conditioned rooms are equipped with a 42" LCD TV, safe and tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel's proximity to the train station and multilingual staff makes it popular with business travelers across France and beyond and there are six naturally lit and fully modular meeting rooms with capacity for up to 90 participants. Well connected As well as offering great connections for long distance train travel, the Gare de Lyon is also connected to the Parisian Metro, and the RER (commuter train) network. Popular destinations such as the Palace of Versailles and Disneyland Paris are just a short hop away. The Novotel Paris Gare de Lyon's close proximity to the station also makes airport connections a breeze. Guests can reach the banks of the River Seine in less than 10 minutes by foot and the famous Bastille, the heart of the French Revolution, is around 15 minutes away from the hotel.
