No family room with 2 queen beds
Heart-shaped garbage basket
The location was great, across the street from the upper rapids and the state park. The suite was nice, with two separate bedrooms and bathrooms (one of them en suite), a full kitchen, and a large living and dining room. Under disappointing circumstances I was wryly amused by the heart-shaped garbage basket.
I booked a suite as a special splurge for my family’s Niagara stay, after reading about the food and wine waiting in the room, looking at the photos, and reading the hotel’s description. When we arrived, tired after a long day of driving, I found a small bottle of Spumante, no food whatsoever, and not even the bottled water promised in the room description. I walked into the master bedroom and flipped the light switch—nothing happened. I walked to the nightstands, and found that only one of the two lights worked. The living room light switch similarly did nothing. The next morning I went to the front desk to report these issues. The staff apologized, but were unwilling to adjust our bill or otherwise compensate us for their failure to provide the supposed benefits of our expensive room. They asked if I wanted them to give us the food and water to go, which I politely declined, as we were about to walk around the falls for a long, hot day. When we checked out, however, they pressed a package of cheese and crackers into our hands, despite my having said no. We had no choice but to leave this in the car for the day, where it inevitably spent too much time hot for us to risk eating it, and went to waste, forcing us to dump it at our next night’s lodging. Both times I went to the front desk it was unstaffed and I had to wait for someone to notice me.
Great Stay If You're Seeing Niagara Falls!
The thing that originally brought me to the Red Coach Inn was location. The property is right along the state park by the falls, so everything you'd want to see there is walking distance. I could walk to Rainbow bridge and then to the Canadian view of the Horseshoe Falls in, say, 30 minutes plus border shenanigans. The room was nice. They had left the classical music radio station on for when I arrived: I thought it was a really nice touch. The view I had was... of a parking lot. But that's fine, since I spent all day outside anyway! The restaurant had good food and good beer. The wait staff were nice and an entire row of seating had a solid view of the water. Overall, the Inn felt like it was locally owned and run. It had charms and a few quirks. I highly recommend it! n.b.: I visited in January, which I understand is the off season for Niagara Falls. It was wonderfully quiet and ghost-town like in some ways. Your mileage may vary.
The place appears to be locally run and feels like it - for better or for worse. I liked my stay so much, I extended it an extra day. Unfortunately, that didn't make it to all of the maintenance crew, who walked in (after knocking) a couple times. The room I had faced the parking lot behind the building - so absolutely no view to speak of from my window. There was an awkward amount of space in the room's living area. It felt like there use to be a small table, but it got removed? I would like to have seen a table to sit down at in the room.
My husband and I enjoyed a very nice overnight stay at the beautiful Red Coach Inn. The dinner and breakfast were both excellent. The chilled champagne, cheese and crackers were a very nice surprise. The room was clean and neat. The staff was friendly but could of been a little more helpful with directing us to the area sightseeing attractions or the visitor information center just around the corner. The location was just perfect.
Visiting Niagara Falls is on many people’s bucket lists. This beautiful place is one of the most stunning in the world. When looking for a place to stay in the area, the Red Coach is one of the most popular choices. This hotel over looks the Upper Rapids and is located in Niagara Falls, New York. It opened in 1923 and guests can hear the rapids from any room that they are staying in. The hotel features 37 rooms.
Guests can get breakfast made to order at the Red Coach and many other amenities such as pillow top beds, some rooms with full kitchens, whirlpool tubs, Wi-Fi, flat screen televisions, coffee and tea maker, iron, hair dryer, and Bose stereo system. The Red Coach Restaurant is open for guests of the hotel for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
When guests are finished checking in, they may be curious about all of the attractions nearby; there are quite a few. Seneca Niagara Casino, Castellani Art Museum, Aquarium of Niagara, Old Fort Niagara, Devil’s Hole Park, Goat Island, and Arrowhead Spring Vineyards are all close to the Red Coach. This is one of the reasons this is such a popular spot for travelers and tourists.
Booking a room at the Red Coach is trouble-free. Once they know the dates of their stay, it is important that they book a room. These rooms go extremely swift and once guests see the room and the view, they will see why. There is so much to do here and the staff is really friendly and knowledgeable.
