the location was great, with an amazing view from our balcony
location was excellent relative to the beach and restaurants; the staff was friendly and bi-lingual; continental breakfast was wonderful; hotel was clean and scent free. The timing of the room cleaning service was irregular, it was therefore impossible to plan your mornings/early afternoon... the sauna, jacuzzi and gym facilities were only available between 4pm to 10pm from mondays to saturdays, I wished they were available at my leisure.
Apart from the location and the receptionist who was extremely professional and ready to help nothing else to mention. For a 4 stars hotel, the premises were poor, the bed for 2 people was 1.20m large! The ceiling had humidity spots and the smell in the room was not great. The air conditionning was making a lot of noise. Difficult to find and to access the hotel with the car.
Its proximity to the city centre. It was not sufficiently clear that parking was off street by the hotel porter
friendly staff a bit further from centre of town than I would have liked
Staff extremely helpful, friendly & efficient.
Close to the beach for outdoor activities, hotel gym and easy access to the centre. Free internet access is very dependent on where your room is located in the hotel. I had no connection ap 50% of the time.
Staff were excellent. Receptionists really friendly and helpful. Perfect location for the beach and only 10 minute walk to the main toursit cites and town centre.
Spacious room and well maintained. Hotel Car Parking expensive. There is a public car park behind the hotel so probably much cheaper to park there yourselves.
the location of hotel is superb.it has amazing views and the staff are very helpful and friendly
Good to stay 2-3 days
The Las Vegas was in a great location - a very short walk to the beach and right off the city metro stop. The staff was not helpful at all for any travel or tour information, but Malaga was so easy to get around in so that made up for that fact. The room was clean and large and was all that was needed, but it was nothing luxuorious. I would recommend this place for those who are looking for a short stay in Malaga and wan to be close to beach and a short walk away from the city center.
The hotel was central to all of the facilites and the city centre. Staff needed to smile more! Near a busy main road. Buildings needed painting around the pool area.
Location was excellent and cleanliness of room Bathroom smelt when it rained heavily
Close to the beach and clean room (however ants in the bathroom). Staff speak english. Breakfast was included and paid however we weren't allowed to take out anything from the dining room even small donut!!! There were ants in the bathroom! There was only one channel in English language (cnn). Car noise from the street was annoying
Room with a view ! Hairdryer did not work. The cooking rather poor. As bed and breakfast recommendable
The room was a good size and the air conditioning was very afficient. The view from the balcony over the beach was marvellous. The breakfast was very good apart fron the tea and coffee which was out of a machine and was never very hot. The hotel was in a great position but could do with some updating ie. the awning on the dining room windows were in tatters, the paintwork on the balconies was peeling and the bar closed very early although as there was seldomn anyone around I dare say they thought it wasn't worth staying open
It was very accessible to the beach, 30 min walk from the main shopping in Malaga. Proximity to cultural events and monuments was good. It lacked decent pool facilities, which was in need of some dire t.l.c. The grassy area was poor and unkempt and there was a lack of privacy from the public, as you could be seen from the main roadway and pathway along the beach front. A gate with access sraight onto the beach from was not in use, a simple entrance code system would be good, saving having to go through the main entrance of the hotel each time you wanted to go to the beach.I would say the hotel was tired and little dated.
location and the way fr hotel to town. also the sea view fr balony well, the facade, and even the rooms, could use some lil brushing up ;)
Sea view. Breakfast is not included hot food.
Gardens Room 8 to small. No way you could make a drink of tea or coffe. No place to sit inside and have a beer for example. Hotel Quite difficult to find following the signs from the coast road.
Absolutely a stunning hotel!
The hotel is set in a beautiful location with great views a lovely garden/patio and the rooms are large and very comfortable. Not ideal for visiting the city as a bit out of the centre and you need to take the car. There was a wedding on the day of our stay which made the hotel very noisy until quite late considering that we had just arrived in Spain on that day and we were tired. The cleaning up noises in the morning were no better and there was also a security lamp in the room which kept turning itself on and off all night which didn't make for a very peaceful night all in all. A shame as it was a vey promising hotel.
The beauty and decor of the room. Water could have been hotter
Woth only 8 rooms in this renovated castle it is magical. The rooms are lovely and comfortable, the grounds are beautiful with patios, terraces, views of the Med., and comfortable furniture to enjoy the outdoors. Centrally located to the beach, great restaurants, and the city. We'll be back!
The position of the hotel was second to none - right on the beach in a quiet village area of Malaga We booked online - with a breakfast included package - but the staff at the hotel were adamant we pay for breakfast. We were finally charged something for breakfast - but not the full rate - but this was more than the price we had been quoted on line. The hotle advertised water and fruit being put daily in the room - this did not happen.
A beautiful location, comfortable rooms, very nice and helpful staff. Unforgettable moments on the hotel roof in the jacuzzi with a night view of the stormy Mediterranean. We appreciated the fact that the breakfast is served until 12 and right by the sea.
Amazing location and couldn't believe the price we paid for the amazing views. A definate must stay.
location was excellent only street parking available, hotel restraunt a bit overpriced
the location - right on the beach. the hotel staff were also the bar staff, whilst very willing to help had a very limited understanding of english and were very busy serving drinks without the additional task of looking after guests wanting to find out about facilities around. The back rooms are dark and uninviting, however, the front rooms looked very nice.
Location Lack of information about transport and local services, no fridge or kettle inroom
roof top facilities, proximity to beach n/a
we enjoyed our five day stay very much. thought hotel was very good. would recommend it to my friends. staff all very helpful. had a top floor room. shower brilliant. bed very good. jacuzzi outside door . free water every day. very clean. wilma and ashley from northern ireland
the atmosphere downstairs in the cafe is great, and our room, on the roof with the jacuzzi and sauna was a real treat.
location close to the beach getting and access is poor especially if you have a car
Hotel location was supprise. Distance from Malaga airport was longer than I thought. Internet booking said 17 km but I think it was more than that.
The hotel was set in beautiful countryside and away from the busy-ness of Malaga but still close enough to the airport to be convenient. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. The place generally looked run down and unkempt. The bathroom in our room smelt of the drains. There was no hot water and they were unable to do anything about it, so we were unable to use the shower or bath.
The position of the hotel We arrived late and the hotel is difficult to find in the dark - only when you are aboput 2 km away do the spcific signs start to be useful
Tranquil location but very near to Malaga - good set menu.
Our room was very comfortable, hotel very nice and the setting beautiful. The bar food was very very very poor. I would return but would eat out. Also very difficult to find the hotel coming out of Malaga.
Location of Los Naranjos is excellent. It is only two minutes away from the sea and 10 minutes by foot from the city centre. Take a bus if you don't feel like walking, at least 3 buses stop near the hotel. The area is reasonably quiet and safe. There are plenty of pleasant restaurants around and they are cheaper and quality of food is better than of those in the city centre (be aware of the rip off there!). The view from the balcony was amaising and the hotel staff is very friendly, though they would not stretch themselves. By large, it is a great place to stay. It is a pity that you have to go out for a cup of coffee to a nearby cafe in the morning, it would be absolutely idyllic to have it with a fresh croissant on the balcony. It would be nice if instead of carpets there was wooden or marble floor in the rooms. It always feels cleaner.
the special offerprice 55 euro/nigth the aircondition was out of order
Our second stay in this Hotel.Breakfest was small. Others is O.K.
good neighbourhoud. close to center city and close to nice restaurants. Breakfast is not a buffet and is every day the same. more variation would be welcome.
Very clean and efficient with everything needed. Small dark breakfast room in the basement not very appealing, but cafe/restaurant over the road. No tea or coffee making stuff, couldn't get a hot drink. Bathroom good, balcony with chairs and table welcome. Air con for the warmer weather. Free wi fi and PAYG internet in lobby.Bus stop right outside takes you to the center , buses very frequent. Parking available. Would recommend as a clean, simple option, but hot if you're looking for any charm. No iron available, although ironing is offered at a reasonable price but not at weekends . Room service advertised, but when requested it wasn't available. No hot drink facilities.
The hotel was located in a pleasant area close to the beach and within easy walking distance of the old town. We were lucky enough to get a sea view terrace with a table and chairs (other hotels state that rooms have balconies which are just ornamental 'juliet' style with no real outside space). There were several restaurants close by if you didn't want to go into the centre, although buses also stopped outside the hotel and were very frequent. The room was cleaned every day and was spotless. It was a quiet, relaxing place to stay and I would happily go back there.
I liked the sea-view, and the room was clean. I think the breakfast was bad. I would like fresh fruit and some cheese - and more coffee.
Its location, the staff were helpful, the fact they provided towels for to use on the beach. The rooms were a practical sixe for our use and were spotlessly clean. Nothing.
Lovely hotel near to beach and places to see. I was delighted with my room. Staff very helpful.
Quiet location of the hotel but still being only 5 minutes walk from the beach. Breakfast was not very substantial and they need more choice of foods.
This was far better than the two star rating. The rooms were excellent and well furnished as was the hotel throughout. A five minute walk to the beach and about fifteen minutes to the city cenre. Local buses stop outside. There is a roof terrace overlooking the sea. Free internet on request. No bar or resturant. The furniture on the roof terrace was worn and needs replacing. Some of the sun beds were broken.Nine euros for breakfast was excessive, there are plenty of bars nearby which are much cheaper.
the hotel is a little gem.with easy access to the seafront and to the tourist attractions. a lovely small hotel
honesty, cleaness, location,
Me and my wife, we were surprised (in the good sense) by the quality of service. The staff is friendly. The building, even though old, but clean and neat. The rooms are perfectly cleaned daily. 5 minutes walk from beach. Our room was facing the street. At nights it was really noisy. Had to use ear plugs. There is no pool in the hotel, but this is a minor issue (on the roof there is a shower and a couple of hammocks with a tent). Internet access (except the WiFi) would be very useful.
the room was very comfortable and nicely decorated, as was the rest of the building. parking is a challenge if you have a car.
pleasant hotel, very close to the beach, good breakfast.
It has a familiar ambient The noise of other guest
The location is excellent, close to the beach, old town and park. The hotel has some charm, is clean, and features patios with some rooms. The staff is helpful as well. Parking is on the street, which can be good, but spots can at times be difficult to find on weekends. Access to WiFi is poor, It is ironic that the wifi in another hotel was used to book this one, but Hotel California hasn't yet caught up to the world to offer free, easily accessed internet.
The size the location
value for money; near the beach; good air-conditioning no ramp from the street to the entrance (would be inconvenient if you have heavy luggage); booked for double-bed but was given twin-bed room; heard annoying toilet piping noise once in a while; lengthy walk to the old town center
very nice staff and location, the women were vary helpful and kind, standard cleaning and nice jacuzzi in room number 7...not the best hotel i have ever been but good x the money you spend
could not get fan to work while light was off - ended up sleeping with light on! No full length mirror
Pilar in particular was excellent. Overall a good value for money Hostal
The hostal has a familiar atmosphere, which is inviting. It is very easy to reach by bus and lots of restaurants in the neighbourhood. Staff is very helpfull. Double bed too small, not a very comfortable matrass
The Hostal was in a quiet area in a suburb of Malaga. Our room was comfortable and looked out over a lovely little patio garden. There was a bar/cafeteria at the Hostal with a patio where it was nice to sit for breakfast or evening drink. Our room was near the reception.bar area and one evening there was quite a bit of noise which kept us awake.
everything. tasteful, elegant spotlessly clean and friendly staff. no
It is central where i wanted to be and near the city of Malaga, the price was good and i will use this hotel again. parking could be a problem, but i managed to find a space nearby, with was lucky.
Nice people; good price a bit noisy; drain smell from the toilet; smell of other people smoking in their room; too far from the centre where everything happen
The room had everything you needed, was basic but comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly and did not interfere in any way. The staff spoke Spanish and we did not see more than one or two other guests so it felt as if we were in Spain. It was nice and relaxing and very close to El Palo beach.
Pleasant surrounding area, bus stop across the road, nice clean decor, friendly staff. Menus could have been in English (but that's my lazy problem)
1. The friendliness and the Professionalism of all the staff. They really work as a team and there is nothing to say: they are just really good. 2. The decoration and furniture, they have really good taste and are very carefull of every single details. 3. The food is gourgeous Need a bit more of maintenance. nothing really bad, just a bit of DIY. And it might be a bit noisy when the hotel is busy.
I loved my stay at Las Acacias Hostal!! The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. My room was wonderful, its style and design made me feel very comfortable. I will definetly recommend this hostal to anyone who stays in Malaga. Nothing.
The hostel is good situated.Very close to the beach. The man at the reception was very kind. A little noisy.
As I had an early start the following morning the owner/reception staff showed me how to work the coffee machine so that I could make myself a fresh coffee before leaving... how thoughtful! My room was a little noisy up until midnight due to heavy traffic outside.
Clearly the hotel had been recently renovated and was very clean The towels were not changed, but no big deal as we only stayed two nights. We had paid for breakfast included but the first night there was a mega party which went on until the wee small hours...Very noisy with people staggering around and shouting, banging doors, etc until 4 am at least. The result in the morning was that my wife and her sister and I were stood waiting for breakfast at 9.10 am with not a sound in the building. Consequently we had to go and pay for breakfast in a local cafe. I mentioned this later that evening but there was no response or refund.
very close to beach. There are many restaurants near beach so it is convenient to eat out. Nicely toasted bread with cheese and freshly squeezed orange juice were a pleasant breakfast. quite noisy..it's close to a road so that it was hard to ignore the noise of car and also the noise from the hallway sounded very loud to me. My room was a pretty small single room although it was okay with me. There was no hair dryer in the room.
The staff are very helpful. My companion had early flight and hotel provided airport shuttle at 4:45 am with packed breakfast. My flight was cancelled (ash cloud issue) and staff was very accomodating. They hooked me up on their delightful garden patio with wifi and hot tea daily. Breakfast served until noon, so could also be used as lunch. Grocery stores and other shopping nearby and beach, plus very easy to get into Malaga on public bus 30 feet from hotel. The single room is a little shabby, but very clean, bed is a bit uncomfortable for a week's stay. Restaurant noise goes on until midnight and sound carries. Bring your earplugs!
Nice area, easy to find, clean and quiet, I've been in a low demanding turist season, lovely interior, good service. Fresh and good breakfast. Single room is too small.
The staff at Las Acacias may not speak excellent English, but they are extremely warm and welcoming. They answered all of my questions (and I had a lot). I stayed in the single room and it was the perfect size for one person -- not very big, but not too small either. The shower was always hot, with great water pressure. The best thing about Las Acacias is, by far, the food. Breakfast is delicious and of high quality -- freshly- squeezed orange juice, a latte, and a crispy piece of toast with whatever you want on it (try cheese and their homemade tomato spread). Do not pass up dinner here. I can recommend the hamburger and the provoleta starter! Easily the best food I have had while traveling. Great value overall. The restaurant is open until midnight, so if you're hoping to go to sleep early, it can be difficult until all of the guests leave. However, I think it is to be expected in a hostal environment. Also, the hostal is not centrally-located. I actually prefer being in a more quiet, residential area, but you will have to take a (cheap) bus or taxi into the city each day. Allow about 20-30 minutes for this.
The friendliness of the staff
Cleanliness and new look of the room staff were noisy while manning the front desk late at night, talking loudly on the phone.
i liked that it was just far enough away from the city but not too far away and the bus services were very good to travel about.the hotel looked very nice in the reception area and the garden etc was lovelly the location next to a road, had to keep asking for shower gel, shampoo etc, lots of banging of doors etc the rooms were too close to reception for my liking. there were no kitchen facilities to cook or kettle or fridge so had to eat out every night.
Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff
this place realy comfortable and near the beach. i liked stay at the Elcano!
Check in was friendly & efficient. Location great for what we wanted. Asked for a double and got a twin. No-one was around to serve breakfast that was included in the rate.
Friendly run hotel, three miles from city centre. Five minute walk to good beach with many nice resturants. Free parking in streets near to hotel. Nice breakfast. Air conditioning not very good. Our room was left unlocked by the maid after she had cleaned our room. Windows and shutters were left opened by the maid, after we had closed them and gone out for the day.
clean rooms, elevator This place is incredibly noisy, situated just next to the big road. Also the air-conditioning is very loud. 2 out of 3 staff people couldn't speak English. Breakfast wasn't worth of 5 eur no way.
cleanliness noisy as the room was from the busy street
the ambience some of the staff were unfriendly and unprofessional
Functuality, cleanliness, WIFI, pretty surroundings, cute villa. Difficult to find, not alway easy to park.I booked online, at 3 pm, they have not checked their emails, so they didnt know about us arriving...???
The hotel is situated in a pleasant little suburb of Malaga and on a 5 minute stroll from the beach. No big, noisy nightclubs or Costa-Del-Sol towers along the boulevard. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. We didnt get any new towels during our stay. There was some problem with the plumbing.
near the seaside, but well connected to the city centre not everyone speaking english
Beautiful house, (design) bathroom, very nice and green garden, quiet street and very near to the beach and restaurants. Good service. Maybe difficult to find without taxi or tomtom.
nothing bad staffing, poor room condition ,lot of humidity ,unclean.I would never recommend it.
clean room, small but comfortable, nice, minimalistic design staff unkind, unable to communicate with foreign cityzens
I was quite pleased with my stay at Hostal Domus. The staff was very acommodating to my late arrival time, and made sure I would be able to enter. My room was small but adequate, and had a window, air conditioning and a TV. The bathroom was also nice. There was an internet terminal for free use, and breakfast was included in the cost of the room -- very nice little buffet breakfast with coffee, juice, cereal & milk, and toast & jam. Lovely outside patio to sit and relax. Short easy walk to the beaches, and a big grocery store right down the street. I recommend this hostel -- staying in the Pedregalejo area is much nicer than being in downtown Malaga.
Hostal Domus is very comfortable. I think that location is really good, because it’s close to the city centre (in just 15 minutes by bus you’re on the main street of Malaga) and within 5 minutes you’re on the beach. What’s more, you live among spanish people, so you can feel this spanish atmosphere and you don’t feel like in the crowded touristic resort. You can buy cheap breakfast there and receptionists are very helpful. I recommend Hostal Domus and hope you’ll have great holidays in Malaga. Kind regards!
Great staff. Worth its price. Our room's air conditioner did not work but the staff kindly changed our room. The location is far from the city center and must take the bus at the bus stop which is a short walk from the hostel. However, Malaga's bus transportation system is quite good and easy - as long as you get used to it. Beach 5-10min walk and there is a supermarket called 'Supersol' is on the way to the beach and a 24-hour supermarket('Opencor') before the hostel bus-stop, 10-15min walk.
Hostel is situated in nice part of city. There is helpful and nice staff. In room we heard sounds from vestibule or other rooms. That disturbed us a little.
The room was new and nicely decorated, bathroom big and clean. The service excellent. The small patio to sit down just in the middle of building.
The location in Pedregalejo, the quiet room No twin beds
It was good value for the money. Although it was farther out of Malaga than we thought there was a regular bus service No. 11. It was near the beach and there was a supermarket nearby. For two nights out of the three we were disturbed in the early hours by the door bell and the noise coming from the patio area. May I suggest that this area is placed out of bounds from Midnight. Our room wasn't cleaned on the Sunday morning.
Although the room was as described, I personally found it a little on the dark side with insufficient natural daylight although I appreciate that this may be typically "Andalucian". For my four day stay iwith ease of access to Malaga it was ok but I would not spend any longer there. Nothing I particularly disliked. However was a little taken aback to be asked to pay for my four night stay on arrival - this is not mentioned in the Hotel's particulars. This was requested prior to being shown my room and if I had wanted to move on to another location would have presented me with difficulties as I assume no refund would have been forthcoming.
Nicely located (5 mins from a beach, 15 minutes from Malaga center by a bus, shops and cafeterias nearby). Very clean, very pretty building with nice inside patio for relaxing breakfasts The staff doesn't speak English well (but surely enough to communicate about basics). No catering facilities - but this wasn't a problem since there are nice places to eat just a few paces away.
We were given a room with a window as requested. Security was very good. Although no parking we had no difficulty finding a spot on the side streets. The room and bathroom were attractively renovated. Liked that we could walk down to the beach so easily. Staff were very friendly. The towels were not absorbent enough and a better quality would make a difference.
Good location near language schools and beach with restaurants and pubs at this rate is a very good offer. Ear plugs recommendable because of location at a main road.
Excellent location, the room had everything I needed. The hostel is very good located if you desire to enjoy the beach in Malaga. Personal was very friendly and helpful
Stayed 2 nights in 2 different rooms. The first one was excellent the second lousy, flooded ceiling, bathrooms without any ventilation! Good location, but a short walk from the beach and restaurants. If you do not speak Spanish and want something else but to pay for a room do not bother to ask.
