The staff were all young and obliging very nice experience The rooms were not very comfortable with only only place to relax really bring the bed but I guess that's what you call funky!!
Loved the free snacks, breakfast, endless soft drinks/water. The rooms were cozy as well with really comfortable beds and pillows. Staff is also very friendly. The manager saw our big suitcase and gave us a bigger room, so we could be comfortable. I thought that was really nice, and he always had a smile on his face! The bathroom door was a little uncomfortable because it was heavy and wouldn't stay open, but that was a minor discomfort compared to everything else.
The central location, view of the Rhone River, nice room, great terrace, breakfast, and very professional and helpful staff. strange perfume smell to the room.
Size of Junior suite Right next to the beautiful Parc Tete d'or Quiet Kitchen poorly equipped. One small saucepan, one small frying pan, no lids. Also no cleaning cloth or detergent, tea-towel etc Breakfast poor value at 19 euro
Value Needs more or better bed pillows
Junior suite; plenty of space. Extra bed ready for our son upon arrival (late evening). Very good restaurant. Music on the hotel corridor OK but should be quiter in order not to disturb you sleeping time
helpfullness of the staff
Ok location I booked a king bed room, got a room w 2 twin beds. They didnt do much, saying the bed type is a preference not a guarantee. Hotel is old and rooms are falling apart. Everything is last touched in 70s.
rude and very nasty. the staff where rude racist and disgusting.and not at all helpfull.
Size of room No new coffee or tea on 2nd day
Comfortable room, good breakfast, prompt taxi
Within walking distance of both the conference center (30min; also near a bus that goes there) and the restaurant areas (15min), near several transportation lines, clean and comfortable. Free wifi. 24h reception. Nothing stood out.
Friendly and helpful staff. Location is a 10 minute walk to the Hotel de ville. Underground parking, Parking involves driving round the block to the back of the building and then its a pretty tight squeeze to enter/exit. Then its a rather ungainly entrance into the lobby. Bathroom got pretty damp after a shower and I'd recommend better ventilation.
Excellent location for exploring the city - non-tourist area - parking facilities - excellent staff - comfortable bed - we have not had breakfast in the hotel (fabulos pàtisserie just in front of) easy to find (we arrived from Eurexpo) It would be appreciated to have linens (sheeets) provided as well as duvets
wonderful staff, great WiFi quality and speed. overall very nice
Listening to jazz during my breakfast! And the decoration with nice old pictures on the walls.
Location, ambiance, kindness of staff... No
good location, nice room the room was too cold, heating apparently did not work properly. Was the case with 2 other colleagues as well.
Checking in and out was a bit too long
Cleaneliness of the room and comfort. Location near the train station Part Dieu and city center. Walls of the room were not enough thick. Could hear the neighbours.
enviroment around Hotel is very Good, it is near Big Green Park ,Congress center and Museum. This Hotel itsself was comfotable, cleanness and its staffs were very kind. Information for internet was not enough good.Internet fee was 10 euro per day. its is expensive. I wish if possible this fee includes into Hotel staying fee.
The hospitality of the staff was just awesome. The lady recommended a restaurant which was reasonable and wonderful taste. I was just impressed by the service level the hotel has. The building and room was also clean and brand new. I really recommend the place. The location was a bit far away from the center of the town but the bus was very convenient so it was not a big problem. There were a lot of shops around the convention center but a bit pricy..
Location No coffee in room. Breakfast was so - so. Cost for value was Okay
stayed in this hotel for 3 nights for a business trip. wonderful experience! very friendly and helpful staffs, very clean and confortable. will choose it again in the future.
Breakfast was superb.Staff very friendly and efficient.Room was very comfortable. No tea/coffee making facilities and no water.Seems to be a thing in France. This hotel is on a busy dual carriageway and is not very well sign posted so is easy to miss.Parking is expensive but the same can be said for most hotels in France.
Location, comfort, view, value, free wifi Several details were neglected. I have informed the hotel
Location, if you're a runner. It's really close to the Tete d'Or park.
Rooms were really luxurious and spotlessly clean. Hotel was in a business complex with lots of nice restaurants and things to do. Breakfast was 20 euros per person - we felt this was excessive so ate breakfast elsewhere. It was outside of the city and although a very nice environment, it could have been anywhere.
The room was excellent and the staff were great. The hotel is situated in a complex used for conferences and other business meetings. There are restaurants nearby and also a small cafe for light meals. The bus into Lyon takes about 15 minutes but runs regularly - the stop is opposite the hotel. Parking is under the complex. Considering its position within the complex, direct access from the carpark would have been nice. Instead you need to come outside for a short walk and this can be an issue in the rain.
Friendly staff. Modern equipment. Free internet access. Breakfast expensive for quality offered.
Public transport was easy from this hotel, staff very knowledgable, comfotable rooms and friendly staff and they tried to help striaght away. I had an email advertising the jaccuzzi and sauna and then when we went to use it we didnt have access to the floor to begin then it was out of order which we werent told. our tv was not working when we arrived and we had to have two technicians come to fix it though they did straight away which was nice. then we asked about the city pass and they took 40mins to research it and then said they had run out of the cards. then we went to go to the blue elephant restaurant but were told you needed reservation which they should tell you at the desk when you check in in case you want to do so for another night. Also online it said there was a free shuttle to town but it wasnt free you had to take the bus.room service a bit cold on delivery.
Size of the room and bed type for a European hotel
brekfast, location cleanliness, time table for sauna
It is located just in front of Big park. The park has zoo & botanical garden, both of them for free! Nice environment for walking & joging. (The location is bit far from city center for sight-seeing, but there is bus to access. ) The drainage of bath-tab was quite slow.
Everything was positive. We also appreciated the evaluation-questions by the Gen. Mgr. Very recommendable. No complaints at all!
Although this may be more of a business hotel it was great for our family. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and exceptionally clean. The hotel design and layout gives it the feel of a 5* property. Upgrade to club level because the lounge is great and the breakfast in the restaurant which will be included is fantastic. It was a little farther from the city center of Lyon than what I would have thought, but there is public transport and Uber.
Located a little bit far from the city center. The staff was very kind.
general efficiency and tranquillity failure to clean room.
The room was big, and clean. Nice bathroom also. It isn't close to the city center or places to visit
Poor breakfast for 24 euro per person
Excellent hotel for the price offered at this time (130 EUR). If prices could stay at this level more often I will use this hotel more often as my allowance for business nights are around this level. I 'm even considering using your conferenses facilities next year for an international user meeting we are organising.
It is clean and quiet, convenient for access to the city centre and also to Part-Dieu and the University
A very good receptionist who recommended good restaurants nearby. The one that we chose was particularly good. The late night member of staff was also excellent. The breakfast was poor value for 14€
Good, clean, quiet hotel. Definitely a strong 3 stars Located a bit far from the Downtown core for a purely touristic stay
Very comfortable bed No
Location and room with balcony Lobby and bar/coffee shop mid way through renovation (completly gutted)
Location - Famous Restaurants around - Metro at 100m Very Noisy from 5:00am if you have a room giving on the side of the main streets that are also near to the railway. Cars+Trains=too much
The rooms were modern and clean. The exterior of the hotel was very nice too. The standard room was very small for three people, two adults and one child. The hotel was several blocks away from the train station and bus to the historic sites.
The room was beautiful, very light and airy and stylishly decorated. The included breakfast was a bonus and very well presented with a great variety of food.
Nice room and friendly staff. Location is great as well.
Good service and friendly staff.
The hotel is conveniently located. The friendly and polite personnel. Convenient beds, pleasant atmosphere.
Comfortable bed; located near metro station. First floor entrance on a tree-lined avenue with many nice (expensive) shops. Quite dead after dark. Clean bathroom; terrycloth robe & slippers, spoiled by dirty fabric shower curtain. (3-night stay) Inhospitable atmosphere and poor overall quality; not 3-star. My room was tiny (double bed with about 18" on each side); facing interior court (with garbage bins); furniture was cheap, shabby, chipped laminate. When I asked (the proprietoress) to change my room she replied "what do you expect for the money you're paying" & that a front room cost more. Her husband (?) became angry & defensive when I showed him the dirty shower curtain. He did change my room: at front; listed at same price as the one I had. Breakfast was only breads, coffee & juice. Meagre offering laid out on the bar was extra. Shabby, poorly lit public areas; no one on duty after midnight. Creepy triple-locked front door.
safety, cozy, location, small, authentic breakfast too expensive, a bit noisy, very small room
got free uprade!
small, dark entrance with reception upstairs, old fashioned lift, difficult to access with suitcases and children although i paid for a superior room, it was not of that standard
The staff was very coprative the room was clean its a rgular hotel very old some improvement needed not far from train station good service
The bathroom was very new, clean and spacious. The rooms were light and clean. I was staying with a friend and had asked for twin beds which cost more, only the twin beds were set up like a double bed only with separate sheets. Not really worth paying the extra money.
Very friendly staff. Rather small and not very comfortable rooms. The first room we were assigned smelled of smoke, so we had to change. The bathroom could have been cleaner.
People at the Reception area were excellent and made a real effort to be helpful to us. They make you pay for your entire stay upon arrival. I found this surprising and a bit distasteful. It wouldn´t necessarily stop me from staying there again.
Receptionists were friendly and ready to provide plenty of information. The room was ok, clean and tidy. Good quality & fair price.
Close to the place we wanted to go to. Air conditioing did not work, & pillows were very hard
Close to Lyon Gard du Est Rail Station (12 Minute Walk), Shops and Local Restaurants were very close by. The room was tiny and the bed had to be changed (which they did) as it sunk in the middle.
Friendly staff, good location for railway station
Tiny room and very good situation of hotel walking distance from main train station. 1. The noise from heating in the first night, than I switch off heating during nights and I sleep well. 2. Personal in hotel very not able to pay back from 500 Eur bank note, when I want to pay my stay.
Good location, close to the station. The bed was a little uncomfortable
5 mins walk from TGV station, easy access to tourist area Lift is not available early in the morning, be prepared to carry your luggage and climb the stairs
Hotel within easy walking distance of station The room was very small. The bed was very small and low as well as having springs which creaked every time one moved.
The room was nice, and the staff were friendly, and it was in a good location
The courtesy shown by the staff. Great... Limited breakfast choices.
my bathroom was very cold
very small room, old furniture, problem with bath in bathroom
staff friendly and helpful noisy due to in house machinery humming night and day. You need earplugs to be able to sleep. The room was very hot. Railway is not a problem they have good windows.
The location is quite good, very close to the train station and subway, you only need to walk for less than 10minutes. the hotel staff is very nice. I recommend this hotel to all.
proximity to the city centre, transport no sitting area for guests, showers need upgrading
unannounced morning construction right below my room (on the building itself) on day 2 it was wretched. nothing like waking up to the sound of jack-hammers. crazy.
Friendlyhelpful staff. Close to train and shopping.
staff were friendly helpful and patient with my lack of french speaking skills. prices were a little high but I guess it was world cup rugby time. rooms were clean and simple.
Great location, close to subway. Friendly staff and decent room. Would come back again. Little difficult to find the place by car due to one way streets but not problem once you get there.
Reasonably clean and comfortable. Located in a quiet street. Not too far from Convention Center. Friendly staff. Too expensive for what it is. The hotel requests guests to hang room keys to the board on the reception wall whenever they get out. However there's nobody at the reception desk at night time. Therefore, if you come back late, your key hangs there without surveillance, and anybody can pick it up and enter your room while you're away!
The staff was extremely nice and helped a lot Transparent glass doors and small shower
The instant service and readiness to fix the matter when the internet connection wasn't working Got the impression that the room was 'upgraded' from single to double when we arrived two. The bed was so small that it disturbed our sleep and therefore influence our overall rating of the hotel
Very helpful and pleasant staff, The room was clean as was the bathroom and linen/towels. My only real minus point was the lack of kettle for making a cup of tea in the room, at this level I would have liked that and it would have made my stay all the better.
Good welcome Small room
very nice location and staff spek english and very cooperative also very surprisingly first time i have the experience that the price on arrival of the room is less as compared to which i booked on website;i mean the charging less from the cutomers who are coming directly to them rather than through booking.com because they said we paid comission to the website companies .it is pittyy.also no english news channel or any english channel on television where will the internation customers will entertain i dont know.rooms are also very small in such price.
Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is just a few blocks from a beautiful park- great for walking and running. It is also close to the metro system and in a comfortable neighborhood.
The staff was very friendly. The room was small but confortable and the bathroom offerred a lot of space. The radiator was defect; it was not possible to lower the temperature. The tap of the bath was also defect; it was not possible to switch the shower off.
The location was pretty easy to find... we came into Lyon in the dark, and we were able to find the hotel by walking from the airport and following our map. The staff was very courteous and helpful. We picked this hotel because it seemed the cheapest hotel we could find closest to the train station. It would've been nice if breakfast was included in the price of the room, rather than 6 euro more.
Helpful, friendly staff. Very clean room and bathroom. Double room was very small.Hotel lobby and halls could use sprucing up. Better lighting in halls and stairwells
The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and spoke excellent english.
junis v helpful
I liked the hospitality and helpfulness during my stay.
Small but comfortable room with clean bathroom. Also very quiet for City Centre Free Wifi was not easy to work - better to have a slightly more secure system with password
Close to the centre, helpful staff we thought we paid our full fare over the internet, however, we were charged for the second night in the hotel
Its location Very little rooms, some of the rooms doors go staightly to the street, they are cold
friendly staff they only have sofa bed and the beddings are not comfortable. the location seems to be dangerous, in particular the metro station...very quiet.
Liked the view of the Patio and quiet peaceful atmosphere, also the location near to the rivers, old town, Fourviere, metro, restaurants, the Parc de Tete d'Or. Did not think our room 24 really qualified as "deluxe", as we had poor hanging facilities, and it was dark due to one window overlooking a wall about 1 metre away
Friendly receptionist. Quiet area. Hardly room to move around the bed.
There was no air-conditioning, small bathroom.
