9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location was beautiful, surrounded by mountains. The view from the room was remarkable. The staff were unbelievably friendly and went out of their way to help us. Cannot thank the staff at Santani enough for their tremendous hospitality. We will definitely make a trip back here in the future!
Cons: There was nothing not to like about Santani. I could not fault the property.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The food is incredible
Cons: Slightly remote
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We simply loved Santani. Beautiful nature as well as design, amazing view from the mountain view chalet, fantastic food and perfect hospitality. Santani is a great place to hide from the every-day stress. Yoga classes, great spa, treatments, and nature walks are available, and three meals per day are provided, so you can simply stay here for a couple of days without the necessity of organizing / thinking about anything. Each and every member of the staff was nice, helpful and professional, so thanks again for everything. We hope we will have a chance to return.
Cons: As the resort is located in the middle of the forest, and have natural ventilation (they are never fully closed), be prepared that smaller lizards and insects might get into the room. This was not a problem for us, especially that there are not too many mosquitos around and net is provided anyway.
7.5 Good
Pros: The architecture is beautiful.
Cons: The location was 3-5 hours from everything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food is AMAZING
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything else.
Cons: The rooms should have a net on the windows to prevent insects from coming in, since the windows has to be open all the time for the breeze.

7.9 Good
Pros: We stayed here due to the hotels location and what a location it is! Nestled on the side of a hill with jungle and tea plantations surrounding this place offered us peace and nature after a hectic stay in Kandy. Roshan was a superb host - he was so friendly, helpful and welcoming + his rice and curry was amazing! He has a huge amount of experience and is a real asset to this place. As other reviewers have mentioned the facilities are dated. Still the bed was extremely comfortable and the pool was lovely. We did a days trekking in the Knuckles which was incredible (find Nipuna Knuckles Trekking) Roshan also suggested a lovely walk up the hill from the hotel through jungle and tea estates leading to more incredible views. Thanks for a great stay. We hope to visit again!

Pros: Superb location and friendly staff
Cons: The way to road is very terrible (800 meters)
4.2 Okay
Pros: 4 years ago it was a nice average place, reasonably clean with normal friendly staff. The 3 boys running this place seemingly can`t cope. They admitted that this place is for Sri Lankans who come to relax and celebrate, not for foreign tourists.
Cons: dirty
8.3 Excellent
Cons: Food was not in a good quality. Apart from that everything is fine
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nice location
Cons: Very poor housekeeping, customer service is very poor
5.8 Okay
Pros: View from the balcony Hot water shower
Cons: Rooms are not maintained properly No WiFi in rooms although advertised Very rough access road Rooms and bathrooms not clean There were geckos inside the rooms and their dump were everywhere in the balcony area Pool is not functioning at the moment Seems like this used to be a good place in early days but due to bad management and negligence this has now come to this state

Pros: Real good location with great views of the hills. Food was nice, rooms are really large and luxurious. The staff are really helpful and friendly. No problems with this hotel whatsoever. Highly recommend
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We were greeted with cookies and tea. We liked being away from town center: the food was amazing! Beautiful garden with pool and jacuzzi. They staff was so attentive! Our room was really spacious with private balcony. We had a cooking cakes with the chef and we LOVED it! So knowledgeable and delicious - he is a very accomplished chef!
Cons: The jacuzzi didn’t get warm enough. My husband and I wanted a massage but there was only a lady and she wouldn’t do a massage on men. So that was sad because we’re really looking forward to relaxing there together. The road to the hotel was a little scary!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning location facing the Knuckles hill range; amidst the lap of mother nature. Difficult to explain my feelings in words! It’s about 50 min drive from Kandy city. The road to Galavilla takes you away from the madness of city & closer to nature. I stayed in the Deluxe Air villa with my wife. HUGE room with a big balcony overlooking the mountains. No need to go anywhere else to see a perfect sunrise. And the bathroom too had the view!! The staff was very welcoming, comforting, sweet & happy to serve. Special mention of Manuka at the front desk who even made us perform their welcome ritual by lighting a lamp. The food!! Every single dish was very good. The Sri Lankan dishes, western dishes, all were very delicious. All the dishes were freshly cooked. The executive chef was very good. He even interacted with us & on our check out gave us complimentary banana bread, which by the way was very tasty! The property is loaded with variety of vegetation. I had a great time picking up some avocados straight from the tree. The hotel also provides driver’s accommodations with meals. The property is perfect for those who just want to relax amidst nature. Perfect Location! Perfect room! Perfect value for money! Perfect food! Perfect people! Best experience of my Sri Lanka journey!
Cons: Hard to say!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly Staff, Hotel views are breath taking and you come in close contact with nature. Food is good and well priced. Quite and peaceful place to get away from the rush city life. We would come back again.
Cons: We experienced an unpleasant road trip near to the hotel, as the roads are not developed, bumpy and very narrow. It’s easier to travel to the hotel in small cars or Tuk tuk but not in a big van.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: romantic place, very good breakfast, good taste, amazing view. good to stay out of the city.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious, gorgeous rooms , friendly, fantastic staff and views that will blow you away! A 100% recommend! The only thing is, it’s up a very steep, windy and narrow road that becomes dirt road, try to get there before it’s dark as this may be a bit tricky! Apart from that enjoy the experience!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This heaven Botique hotel is located an hour away from Kandy city on top of a mountain. I must say I was hesitant when I booked it because I read so many reviews about how far and difficult to get to this place. But if you wish to be in a quiet serenity and hear the voice of nature only, choose this hotel! Our check in experience was exceptional! Before we walked in, I noticed this cute swing by the entrance overlooking the valley. What a bueatidul spot! At the main door, we were welcomed by few of the staff who greeted us and offered us refreshing towels, amazing tea and home made cookies!!! They were amazingly fresh and tasty. Pardeeb, the property manager was so peofessional and friendly and he explained to us the property facilities. Then as a tradition at this hotel, we lightened a candle at the entrance! Was a great touch. Our room was called "Water" they have 10 rooms and they call them by the elements (fire, wood, water etc). The room was spacious and bright with a water theme decoration (blue colors in the room and bathroom) the room has a beautiful terrace overlooking an outstanding view of green mountains and beautiful blue skies. The bed was super comfortable and bathroom was nice with good shower, hot water and all amenities. Food at this place was great as well! We had dinner that night and we enjoyed a nice atmosphere with nice music and cool breeze while having delicious srilankan curries. Breakfast was brilliant too.. twyla offer international or srilankan a la carte options, but make sure to order a night before if you wish to go with the srilankan. I had an ayruvedic massage while staying here and it was great! Highly recommended to try their massages. The hotel has a jacuzzi and a pool and there is a tiny river passing through the property! We woke up early the next morning to watch the sunrise from our terrace which had a small garden and a large sofa.. what an experience!!
Cons: There is nothing I didnt like about this property. Actually, I've read so many reviews talking about how far and isolated this place is and I think that is an amazing advantage Nd addition to the beauty of this place. The hotel is 1 hour away from Kandy city. So dont expect to have anything around you (if you want to go for shopping or visit the attractions, consider the time to come down from the hil) The road to the hotel is narrow and I reccomend to check of your driver knows that property and have been to or before because seems alot of people cant locate it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing boutique hotel at the top of the hill. The views are breathtaking, the staff very friendly and the food was delicious. They turned on the whirlpool just for us when we checked in and it was already quite late. We will be back for sure :)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This is a very beautiful private boutique hotel that exceeded my expectations. After a windy drive to get there as it is a fair way from Kandy we were stunned by the amazing views! Everything else about the hotel was excellent. The staff and service, meals and facilities. As we were only there for 1 night we didn't get to use the Spa unfortunately. Would highly recommend as a quiet retreat but it's a bit far to travel back and forward to Kandy if that's what you're after.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked, no, loved everything about the hotel. If there was a rating higher than 10, we would give it. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, the breathtaking view from the garden or patio makes them even better. The surrounding nature makes you feel calm immediately. We have never met friendlier staff during all our travels. Everybody was welcoming, helpful and seemed to really care about their work. The food - both breakfast and dinner - was varied and delicious. All in all, this place is just perfect all around and managed with so much dedication. We felt very much welcomed and had a lovely time.

Pros: Beautiful place, very peaceful with amazing views - especially in the morning. I definitely will be back. Its a little bit away from Kandy - about 30 min with tuktuk, but much peaceful than busy and polluted town... the food was also tasty, I went for Sri Lankan for all of my dishes and they were excellent. Good job everyone

Pros: Great water pressure! The showers were lovely. Nice hot tub and swimming pool, lovely views.
Cons: The food isn’t that great, it’s ok but definitely not what we call “fine dining”
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely feel about The Albatross and sense of calm after busy congested Kandy.. The Albatross has an intimate and friendly feeling - it really is like a club house. The view down to the golf course, across the valley, onto the dam and all the way Knuckle Ranges in sensational. Incredible at 5am and in the evening. The pool was great and the activities in the area wonderful. Tilek and the team were extremely warm and attentive without being overbearing. The cocktails were excellent! We will be back!

9.2 Excellent
Pros: LOVED the fine architectural details, the design, the style is so unique, unlike any other “hotel” experience, this place is a rare find, irs more of a resort than a hotel. LOVED the Ayurvedic treatments— far and away the best massage I’ve EVER had! Staff was incredible—the tour of the property was such a nice added touch.
Cons: The hammock—I fell off of it. And That I had to leave
7.5 Good
Pros: The place is one of a kind. Set high up in the trees in the Knuckles Mountain Range. Have never been anywhere like it before and it was like stepping back in time. Truly singular. Staff were great and did their best with what they had available to them.
Cons: Wasn't really suitable for children under 5 (we had 3 of them) Would be best to make a big point of that on the booking page I think. Food wasn't great. Sri Lankan cuisine, which we all love, but the standard left more to be desired. There was no menu, just what was on offer. Trying to charge $30 for cold rice and curry and 2 bowls of soup is ridiculous. They did drop the price to $12 but that is still over priced. Had a good stay and glad we came for the experience but it could have been better. Quite expensive for what it is compared to the rest of the country.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Come to the Samadhi Centre for relaxation, immersion in nature, and comfortable accommodation in rustic mud houses on grounds created by a hobby architect who salvages amazing objects and incorporated them into a former tea estate. It's a 50-min taxi/tuktuk there (there is also a bus from Kandy). The staff are local, dedicated, and genuine. The food is Sri Lankan and delicious (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). The Ayurvedic treatment is authentic and of incredible value. Their riverside chaise lounges and pavilions provide lots of opportunities for sunning, reading, and idling. There is also a waterfall nearby with a refreshing swimming hole.
Cons: Because of the isolation, the only place to eat is Kandy Samadhicentre itself. While the food is delicious, it costs extra (unless you buy a package I guess). It would be better to include food in the price (at least breakfast and dinner). The costs for meals are three times the price in local restaurants and guesthouses, which is hard to swallow when you are used to paying so little in town. The yoga instructor was also local and very knowledgeable, although she held back her class and instruction for beginners. If you are intermediate or advanced, keep in mind you might be getting a simplified version for the sake of others. Classes are also twice the price what I spent at a hotel in Ella, for example. Maybe there is a better, package deal on offer, but I booked "a la carte." I didn't elect for more daily 07:30 classes after the first one because of that. However, one can practice on their own in their wonderful space (mats provided) because it's not used outside the 07:30-09:00 yoga session (at time of writing).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked everything: the food, accommodation, surroundings, helpful staff and ayurvedic massage. I only stayed one night and I hope to come back for longer. Very relaxing place.
7.5 Good
Pros: The place is in the middle of the countryside and it's fantastic for you too get out from the main hustle of the touristic places and get in touch with nature. The surroundings of the center were very good - you have the feeling of disconnection with the outside world very quickly :)
Cons: We were in Samadhi in the beg of low season so we felt that most of the things there were not running 100% as they should - which is also normal...but that gave us the feeling of not enjoying the place as much as we wanted... The food could also have been better (specially for the price you pay.... significant above average and the only option there - you can't find any other options close by).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The most amazing place i have ever stayed and believe me i have travelled a lot. Its not only the location and the decor and the whole scenery that is like a dream its also the energy of the place of the owener and of the staff. A place to get lost from everythind and discover your inner self
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was the absolute highlight of my time in Sri Lanka. I really hadn't expected such a special place - I was so sad to leave! The staff were genuinely welcoming, so helpful and easy going, the food was exceptional, the rooms beautiful and I met many lovely people. Morning yoga on the terrace was incredible. They also arranged a guided walk to a nearby waterfall on one of the days. The whole place is so peaceful and secluded, I'd love to go back one day.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Awesome!!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We spent 2 night at Samadhi Centre and had a wonderful time. The place is amazing (old colonial-style furniture), the staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was the best we had in SrinLanka. Just wished that we stayed a bit longer! We didnt have time to have a yoga class, but the ayurveda treatment is a must-try! We hope to come back soon! Thank u for this unique experience!
Cons: Nothing really but just wished we checked their website before booking, as you cant see all their type of rooms/pavilions in here.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It is a hidden gem! The room was bigger than I expected (even the budget room), with antique decoration and comfy bed. It has forest path to walk around, including small river to dip or read. There are also waterfalls nearby that you can go with the staff. Very friendly staffs and the owner, Waruna also great that took his time to talked with the guests. And try the Ayuverda treatment as well, massage was very oily :D but amazing, love it.

Pros: Charlie great. Food good. Rooms great. Fun by the pool table.
Cons: They have wine but no beer. Not a big deal - even for an aussie.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: A super friendly welcome at an incredible place. The staff were welcoming (we even had bindis painted on our head and tea and cookies on arrival) and helpful. The location is really far away up into the hills but it’s worth the journey. Set on the top of the hills overlooking the valley this place is truly magical. You can relax by the infinity pool, go for local walks, or go to their spa. The rooms are glamping personified, they are really comfortable and clean and make for such a cool experience. Waking up in the morning and unzipping the tent to the amazing view made our holiday. The food there was also incredible. We had half board and the breakfast was so big we couldn’t finish it, with selection of cakes and cookies. The dinner was a set menu and really delicious. They also have a croquet set and some balls to play with for kids. Or we are big kids and we made use of them! There’s also a chess board and pool table in the main reception area.
Cons: The WiFi was a bit slow and patchy. I’d have preferred more healthy foods for breakfast rather than afternoon tea type cakes. You can hear noises from the valley really early morning which was a bit disturbing for sleep.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The scenery was absolutely breathtaking and the activities offered were thoughtful and fun.
Cons: There's nothing to not like!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Definitly the most beautiful view and landscape! We stayed two nights and enjoyed very Minute. Food, staff and the room were super nice! the infintiy pool is just great. We would love to come again!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The view is fantastic and the services and warm hospitality we got from the staff is incredible! The offered excursion was great, we had lots of fun with 4 hours hiking.
Cons: Food is not their strongest point :) not much variety for dinner but we don't mind so much
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The place is beautiful, if a bit over the top with the colonial scene and the stereotypes. But when we found out that drivers accommodation had no water and staff accommodation had no proper floor, just mud, it turns to ashes.
Cons: I had hoped that for this price, decent care for the staff is given. But really, it‘s our fault for not making an informed decision. I recommend to read up on tea plantations in Sri Lanka before deciding to spend money here.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is a parenthese in a journey where we always move from point A to B. You’ll be aside the crowd, surrounded by tea plantation, awesome nature and a kind of wildlife. The food is good, the staff is awesome if you take the time to enjoy to have a sincere talk with them! The place is just awesome! You sleep in a tent where monkeys pass over in the morning and the evening. I can just advise to have a stop there!
Cons: This is far from everything. This is both a plus and a con. You’ll pass in poor villages before arriving in a such beautiful semi-luxury place. And when spotted to your tent you feel a form of colonialism who can be disturbing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This place is absolutely stunning, set within the tea plantations in the hills above Kandy. So relaxing and beautiful!
Cons: I was really looking forward to doing yoga during my stay, but unfortunately they stopped offering this. They tried to arrange a yoga teacher to come to the property, but they were already busy. I did a cooking class instead, which was great! If you are looking to do yoga during your stay, I would recommend you get in touch with the hotel before to arrange, if it’s possible.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I genuinely have no words to explain how awesome this place is. My partner and I would 100% go back stay here. We stayed in 6 hotels around Sri Lanka and this was the winner!!! We stayed in the tent which was an amazing experience, we had the most amazing view from up there on the hills. It will make you feel like you are away from the world and can fully relax. I will miss and cherish the time spent here. We loved it that much that we cancelled all our site seeing plans in Kandy to stay on the resort and fully enjoy it.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Love the location and the tents.
Cons: The food and transport were a little expensive. It's a 1h30 drive from Kandy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place was incredible! The location is high up in the hills and the drive to get there is part of the charm. Once you arrive you genuinely feel like you are in another world - the view is amazing. The staff were all so kind and helpful as well. Our little tent was so lovely - it had everything you needed and was a really different experience to just staying in a hotel. The view from our balcony was amazing and we woke up one morning with monkeys sitting outside which was lovely to see. The food at the restaurant was also very nice with a set menu for dinner each day. Pool area was beautiful as well - with an amazing view! We also did a cooking class of traditional Sri Lankan food which was interesting and lots of fun, but the highlight of our trip was a hike we did with a local guide (organised through the hotel). Our guide, Nandakumar, was from a local village and it was lovely spending a few hours with him walking through the tea plantation and learning about the area, tea, animals, plant life, local villages and culture. There is a lookout called Mini World’s End which gives a spectacular view. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place for a really wonderful experience in Sri Lanka.

Pros: Pool not as big as depicted on website
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were extremely helpful, no matter what we asked them. The place was perfectly located and yet street noise was not an issue. Everything was clean. The in-house restaurant did not serve beer,(but were happy for BYO) we found some good eating options nearby. The pool was great at the end of the day.
Cons: It would be helpful if they could give visitor a good city map on arrival
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in a deluxe room with city view, it had a gorgeous corner window so we could see the town and mountains, absolutely lovely. The staff were really helpful and friendly, and the pool and restaurant area on the roof was fabulous! Breakfast was great - hash browns and baked beans! Great value for money - it felt like a much more expensive hotel.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice room and good installation, super friendly staff and walking distance to city centre and main attractions.
Cons: Everything was perfect

Pros: Amazing staff, very helpfull. Good breakfast and nice pool.
6.3 Good
Pros: We stayed for 1 night only as were suppose to finish train here but unfortunately trains were on strike. Good location 10mim walk to town. Good for what you you pay.
Cons: Room had a musky smell but may have been the city itself.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooftop swimming pool is excellent!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Swimming pool on the roof with a splendid view! Friendly, helpful staff. Our room had a private garden with all kinds of plants. Great location for walking around the city, no need for a tuk tuk. Laundry service. Room and bathroom were clean
Cons: The room wasn't very spacious.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It was very clean, cosy and nice view from the rooftop. The staff is very friendly and has helped us in any way we asked.
Cons: Our room was free upgrated from the no-windows to the courtyard-windows, but it actually made no difference, since the courtyard is in the middle of the hotel floor. The first night we also prefered a warm/hot water shower.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent room with great view - food was great
Cons: Just a little isolated but wouldn’t get the views otherwise
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I stayed with my sister at Theva for 4 nights in August and have to leave a review to say what a fabulous hotel this is (pool, rooms, location, facilities). What makes it stand out, however, is the exceptional service provided by all staff, who were extremely welcoming, approachable and helpful during our stay, and really go out their way to take care of guests. We were able to organise day trips, tuk tuks, transfers through reception, which was helpful, especially as Kandy centre is a 10 minute tuk tuk drive down the hill. Breakfast was great, and they offer a variety of choices if you are around for lunch or dinner. The room was very well maintained and cleaned daily, with an evening service also. I was also happy to see some environmentally friendly policies, such as solar powered water heating, plastic bottles reused as plant hangers and notes on laundry/ water energy preservation around the hotel. Overall, as our first hotel (of 6) in Sri Lanka, our stay at Theva has set the standard very high and will be difficult to beat.
Cons: Two points for consideration would be: 1. pool could be a little warmer, and 2. the car the hotel arranged to pick us up from the airport didn’t have working seatbelts and the driver they arranged to take us to Ella was a terrible driver who we felt quite unsafe with. Otherwise faultless
7.9 Good
Pros: The view was amazing and the food was lovely.
Cons: There was a lizard in the room. This was absolutely not expected.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We got a free upgrade because of our honeymoon. The view from the room and the pool is incredible. They have free sauna and steam room.
Cons: No local fruits in the menu, only standard banana, papaya, watermelon
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay here was amazing !! Can't reccomend enough. The staff were so friendly and lovely, the food was delicious - especially getting to try a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast. Our room was beautiful and the views insane, the pool was stunning-can't wait to go back!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The views were amazing! Staff were on hand all the time & very friendly & helpful. Lovely pool very pleasant.
Cons: Nothing really, our room was above the kitchen but wasn’t too noisy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This boutique hotel lives up to all the wonderful reviews we read ahead of booking our stay here. The staff and service are amazing. They were very accommodating even when we called the front desk for some bottles of water after 12am , one of the staff members said he would try his best and made it happen without any fuss. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The views of Kandy city were breathtaking. Definitely recommend a delux room as worth every penny. We also were able to use the pool, steam room and sauna facilities which were free of charge and well worth it after a day of exploring. We had breakfast included with our stay and it was delicious. My husband ordered the Sri Lankan breakfast twice during our stay and he loved every bite. It is so filling and sets up up for a day of exploring this wonderful city. every meal we had was full of flavour and the presentation was beautiful. I would highly recommend the Chicken onion Curry Masala so tasty! Overall we would highly recommend this boutique hotel. It definitely lives up to it's reputation at a little slice of heaven in Kandy! Thanks to all the wonderful staff and hotel manager who made our stay special. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Cons: Not a bad word to say about this wonderful boutique hotel. We loved every minute of our stay here! Would 100 percent stay here again!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The Theva Residency was a great little find. Unfortunately our stay was very brief and therefore we didn’t benefit from the pool with a beautiful view. The room was immaculate with lovely little touches, such as chocolates on our bed when we returned to our room in the evening. The staff were so warm, friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and very well presented.
Cons: The location wasn’t an issue for us as we had a driver during our time in Sri Lanka, but it may be a little difficult to find on your own. However, the location gets you the view of Kandy, so it’s worth it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful sceneries and conformity. Best hotel I ever stayed. We enjoyed our vacation time peacefully.

Pros: Location is good as its far from the noice and crowd of the city but i don’t recommend the stay over

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ozo Kandy is the perfect example of the world class Sri Lankan hospitality that you would come to discover here in Sri Lanka. This is one of the best hotels in Sri Lanka and is a must for any tourist visiting Kandy who wants to stay somewhere with added luxury, especially for holiday-makers and International travellers who want an affordable upgrade. From the luxurious bedrooms and fantastic sleep to the facilities such as rooftop pool with incredible views over the lake to the delicious (and abundant) breakfast... but what makes it a cut above the rest are the friendly, welcoming, attentive staff. Whilst here I injured my ankle and had to go to hospital. The staff waited on me without question, brought me ice to my room and ensured I was comfortable. We came for one night and stayed 4! Special mentions to. . Nimesh (Restaurant team leader) who attended to me when I fell, Chef Sanjeewa, Dashan who served us in the restaurant for breakfast every day and Sandaruwan who was their first aider and looked after me in my room.
Cons: Not much to be honest!

Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and dry cleaning/laundry services. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location was a little further out than we expected in the hills, a bit tricky to get to by tuk tuk but not impossible and the hotel owner arranged the tuk tuks for us. The view of the hills from the pool was awesome. The breakfast and dinner we ate there was nice and good value. The bedroom was comfortable and we had all the facilities we needed.
Cons: The bathroom could be improved, the toilet leaked and there were ants around the sink. It would be better around the pool area to have somewhere to relax, there was only a table and stools but a sun lounger would have been nice as we intended to spend more time by the pool than we did.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I really liked the layout of the hotel and its decoration. The view is breathtaking. The swimming pool is a nice bonus. The breakfast is good, I liked a fresh cattot-ginger juice. Bed was comfortable. The parking spot on a territory of a hotel. We had a chance to use a kitchen and a landry servise. Fridge in the room. A/C
Cons: Well it is not easy to find and we had several talks of the phone with the staff, but anyway needed o find it ourselfs. The road to the hotel has downhills, streamer, streamers, not easy to drive at all. Firstly we got the room with a separated bathroom and later asked to change to room as per our booking. Second night there was super noisy, neighboors had some celebration and there were also another guests which arrived very late and had super late dinner. I wish there were some rule about quite hours.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sri Kandyan is a beautiful hotel located in a very scenic area. Very comfortable air conditioned room that was quiet and relaxing. The room was well presented and clean. We loved the meals at the hotel as well. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Best part is the nature around the hotel making it such a beautiful and calm place to be. Would definitely come back again.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Although a little outside of the centre of Kandy, Sri Kandyan Bungalow was our penultimate and best stop on our trip to Sri Lanka. The propriety is immaculate, great wifi and air con in our room, and the best breakfast we had all trip (both Western and Sri Lanka options). Lawrence helped us to arrange a tuktuk to take us into town and was an amazing host.
Cons: The propriety is a good 20 minute tuktuk outside of Kandy, meaning that you need to arrange your own trip back.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a nice boutique hotel with a more relaxing environment. Since we came after a tiring day at Kandy, their pool was a blessing for us to relax. It has nice views and since away from the city, you get a very calm environment.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sri Kandyan is a small boutique hotel with all the necessity comforts. For the prices they charge is a very well for the facilities they offer. Bit inside from the busy town, this villa is in a very nice location. calm, quiet and very relaxing. It is the best part to have a swim in the small pool overlooking the range of mountains. Our room was air conditioned and very clean. beautiful art deco is used. very friendly staff and the meals are very delicious. to wake up in the morning listening to the birds songs is the best part. comfortable beds and very much of a relaxing place. customer service of the whole team is excellent from where we booked from booking.com. small place but it has everything for a relaxing holiday! recommend this property for your next holiday.
Cons: This villa is located in the mountains which is bit inside from the busy town. The villa has put direction boards on the road which makes it easier to find the place.
7.9 Good
Pros: staff was friendly and helpful , pool was amazing. great view from the villa.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff Clean Swimming pool
5.8 Okay
Pros: very friendly staff, decoration, swimming pool for the kids ( but no sun beds). Dinner was ok, I havn’t try breakfast.
Cons: no attached bathroom for the double room we had and the bed was a little bit small for me and my 2 kids (5 and 7). No mosquitos net. difficult to find a tuktuk who wants to drive until there because of the roads( top of the hills).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: great views and the property was great value for money. the food was some of the best we have had with fresh vegetables cooked from their own garden, honestly the cooking was amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpfull.

Pros: The hospitality of staff are outstanding. We felt like home.
Cons: If privacy is little more then it would be better
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location at the upper area of the mountain. Buffet in Amaya Hills, the main hotel, has endless choices in food. Breakfast at the bungalow was awesome and well presented. Our butler was the best.
Cons: Staying at bungalow requires a transportation to the main Amaya Hills hotel. The shuttle is not always readily available, but can be reserved in advance through the butler.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The butler and personal chef!
Cons: Pool area was a bit disappointing. Only 3 sunloungers abd broken decking
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Dinner was organised next to the pool on the evening we arrived, the food was fantastic and the setting was lovely. Pryasanna and Tinnicorn (the chef) ensured that we enjoyed our meal. Breakfast the following day was in the garden which was again lovely food and a beautiful setting.
Cons: The day after we arrived, a healthcare screening was taking place in the pool area. Luckily we had made arrangements to explore Kandy but if we hadn't I would have been very disappointed that we wouldn't have been able to use the facilities to their full extent. Our children were playing in the pool in the morning as everything was being set up and I felt very uncomfortable even though we should have had full use of the facilities.

Pros: Beautiful grounds. Friendly staff. Recommend this place to anyone. It’s quite also.
Cons: Just up a hill winding hill.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Amazing grounds attentive staff and great view

Pros: Everything at this place is exceptional! The wonderful staff greet you and show you around your amazing accommodation. The meals are prepared personally for you. The comfort, The surroundings, The fantastic staff exceeded our expectations - What a treat to stay here... Thank you so much!
Cons: Absolutely Nothing!
7.1 Good
Pros: Location and view
Cons: Staff too nosy watching every move and entering bungalow without knocking the door. No privacy.
7.9 Good
Pros: Liked the secluded bungalows which were quite spacious and well maintained although not modern and luxurious like one would expect of a 5 Star property. We were blown away by the excellent service provided by our personal Butler Jaliya and his team. He was there round the clock to take care of all our needs without being too intrusive. Particularly enjoyed the private breakfast set up on our lawns couple of mornings.
Cons: Choice of food is not much and quite limited on the ala carte menu at the restaurant. Only 1 restaurant for the entire property. We were initially shown a bungalow with 4 Bedrooms with the two rooms taken by another family. This came as a shock and after a some tough negotiations were offered a one bedroom bungalow with an additional bed. The next day we were shifted to a larger bungalow. So please be aware when booking a bungalow as they expect guest to share them.

Pros: Great location - bonus that up on the hill you get great views. Downside is you have to get up and down it in a tuk tuk. Great hotel with a lovely rooftop pool.
Cons: Dinner was a bit on the pricey side and unluckily for us there was some building works going on during the afternoon one day (but I guess that can't be helped sometimes!)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel and the pool were great! Also staff was very friendly.
Cons: The atmosphere the facility was a bit cold and the view from room window.
7.9 Good
Pros: Friendly staff, convenient location, nice views from the pool, able to walk to the temple of the tooth
Cons: The restaurant lacks atmosphere. The hotel tuk tuk took us to the station to catch our train - it wouldn't start so my partner had to push it UP the hill to try and jump start it. We ordered a room service at 21.30 and this didn't arrive.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff couldn’t do enough for us, really kind and helpful. The food delicious; a talented chef. The rooftop pool was fabulous one of the best.
Cons: A shame not to have an outdoor space apart from the pool area on the roof - the huge garage/car port would be ideal!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice and clean rooms. Good location. Nice pool. Great service.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff were incredible helpful during our stay and couldn't do enough for us. The manager arranged a transfer for us to our next hotel at a really good price. We also had lovely for in the restaurant for our evening meal and breakfast. The hotel also arranged for us to see a traditional dance show and the Temple of the Sacred Tooth. Our driver was really helpful and was a great guide to the city.
Cons: The property is a slightly strange setup with different wings which you have to walk in between. I think all of the facilities are in the central building so it could be a bit inconvenient unless you are staying in the central building as we did.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We are extremely satisfied with the stay, The Hotel's Manager, His assistant, and the team were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner were exceptional, Chef and his team were best.
10.0 Excellent
