Pullman Luang Prabang - Luang Prabang - Building
1
9.0 Excellent (1,310 reviews)
AED 393+
Overview Reviews
Situated 10 minutes from downtown Luang Prabang in a charming mountain setting, the newly opened Pullman Luang Prabang sprawls over 16 hectares of landscaped gardens. It is the nearest resort to Kuang Si Waterfalls and Bear Rescue Centre.
6.0 Good
Cons: The hotel had an issue with the hot water supplied to rooms, our room rarely had any hot water. The staff were good, particularly Rohan. But there wasn't a lot they could do.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is on a huge site. There are free bikes that can be used to navigate the pathways, golf cart style buggies that staff use to transport you to/from your room on request and boardwalk style pathways around the 'paddy field' styled centre of the resort. The main reception area has pleasant and attractive decor and lots of interesting things dotted around. A great hotel with well spaced villa style rooms. We stayed in an upgraded executive deluxe room in a block of 4. It was at least double the size of a standard room with a very comfortable 6ft bed. The pillows were amazingly comfy. The bathroom was huge with a great walk in shower, a freestanding bath, double sinks and separate WC. There was plenty of wardrobe space and an in room safe. Air con was very controllable and wasn't turned off when the room was cleaned so the room stayed cool. Plenty of electrical sockets in convenient places for charging phones, ipads, cameras, laptops etc. The usual tea/coffee making facilities were provided and complimentary water was left every day. There were so many different lighting options, it took us a while to figure out all the different light switches. Breakfast was great with a huge variety to choose from. They cater for all nationalities. There are 3 pools. One is 47m long, one is smaller and ideal for children, one is a small plunge pool. We used the large pool and it was great. Plenty of towels, sun loungers and parasols were available. There is also a bar service for a cheeky cocktail poolside. The free shuttle service to/from town was great but only runs every 2 hours and you need to pre-book. Service at this hotel was superb and any queries/issues were resolved very quickly and efficiently. Everyone working here was so friendly and polite. We definitely recommend staying here and we would be happy to return in future.
Cons: The restaurant was great for breakfast but expensive (in comparison to local food in town) for lunch/dinner. We'd have liked to stay in and eat a couple of nights but couldn't justify the cost when a free shuttle service to town was available. We struggled with the hot water on the first day but after reporting to reception, a handyman arrived in less than 15 minutes. He informed us that we need to run taps in both sinks, bath and shower for 5-10 minutes sometimes before the hot water comes through. We noticed that several others have reported lack of hot water and think that some instructions in the bathroom to explain this would have been helpful.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was really friendly and supportive. The resort feels like as if you stay in your own countryside home in the middle of rice fields.
7.0 Good
Pros: Beautiful setting with rice paddies throughout the hotel. Great facilities. Lovely escape from town.
Cons: Real shame that the hotel isn't doing more to be more sustainable (as the Pullman group tries to claim it is). Communicating with staff was challenging, not the level of service you expect from this hotel.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful grounds and accommodation
Cons: I accidentally broke a plastic soap dish in the shower so let the staff know at check out. They tried to charge me $50, then $30 to replace it. Soured the experience for me a bit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were super friendly, the breakfast was awesome, the free shuttle to town is super quick, efficient and easy. Everyone here is so nice and we had an incredible stay.
Cons: We weren’t prepared for everything at the hotel to be charged in USD (this made everything a bit more expensive for us because of the exchange rate), but it didn’t make our stay any less enjoyable. Highly recommend Pullman to anyone coming to Luang Prabang :)

The Grand Laung Prabang Hotel is located on the banks of the grand Mekong River with a spectacular panoramic view of the picturesque mountains surrounding Luang Prabang, approximately 4 kms southwest of Luang Prabang town centre. The resort is situated on the 59 thousand square meters estate of Xiengkeo Palace which belonged to the nationalist hero Prince Phetsarath. The 75 guest rooms were built while preserving the French colonial design with Laotian touch, all accommodations are furnished tastefully with wooden furniture to reminisce the heritage of the building. Breakfast as well as functions are held at Xiengkeo Restaurant, located beside the elevated banks of the Mekong River. Our restaurant provides guests with the best of international cuisine featuring Western, Thai, and Lao recipes. The combination of its high ceilings, polished marble floors, stylish colonial architecture and a panoramic view of the Mekong River gives this is one restaurant that will provide guest with a unique dining experience.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff, solved all wishes we had :-) Nice, quiet place on the river bank, easy travelling to the city with hotel shuttle.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole complex was delightful, gardens beautiful and well kept with a diverse array of plants and trees. Rooms and facilities were excellent. The views over the Mekong river were spectacular. We could have just enjoyed staying on the grounds for the whole of our visit. There is a free shuttle bus which runs frequently to and from the town. There are many Wats to see in town as well as various shops with all vareties of woven goods. We took a sunset dinner cruise on the Mekong one evening. Great event with delicious local food and some cultural music and dances for entertainment.
Cons: Nothing, much of the time we had the place to ourselves. Loved the amnience, tranquil, thoughful staff, very helpful.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic, beautiful spot overlooking the Mekong River.
Cons: n/a
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I loved that it was a bit out of town, We got a free upgrade but the hotel was under construction so most of the hotel looked close but really happy with the size of our room. Amazing view of the river. Loved how quite it was. And we had the pool to ourselves There was only about 6 people staying at the hotel so it was perfect for us.
Cons: For the price I paid for our 5 night the breakfast was honestly horrible! I completely understand it’s a poor country, I’m not looking for luxury breakfast but there was always a lack of food the bread was stale and just small options for a “5” star hotel. There was never any hot water When you wanted to have a bath the water was warm. I don’t like having my bath towels Changed everyday There was a sign saying if you do not want your towels changed leave them hanging out if you want them changed leave them on the floor so I left them hanging on but every time I came back to my room after the room was clean the towels had been changed.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent views of Mekong river, serene atmosphere, shuttle bus into town
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The view overlooking the Mekong is fantastic. Very quiet away from the bustle of town.
Cons: We didn’t mind at all but some might not like being away from the action.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else! The view was fabulous- we had room 121 with a balcony looking out on the mighty Mekong, what a view! The staff were very friendly and attentive. It's a little out of town so they offer a regular shuttle service. The pool was refreshing too. Would love to go back.
Cons: The breakfast wasn't the best I've ever had (my omelette was undercooked, I don't mind slightly undercooked yolk but not runny white).
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was peaceful and beautiful but it is outside of town. There is a shuttle that runs on a schedule but it means you have to stick to the schedule of the shuttle. There are tuk tuks available.
Cons: The facilities are a little run down. Some things are not fixed. For the price I would have liked the property to be more maintained.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: It's a very, very beautiful place! Amazing landscapes and well-groomed territory. It feels like a lot of work and soul has been put into it. In the evenings you can admire the sunset in silence. The room had a beautiful balcony overlooking the Mekong. The hotel is a short distance from the city center, but you can always get there by taxi or by tuk-tuk. It's the second time I've been here, I came to show this beautiful place to my wife.
Cons: During our stay, unfortunately, the swimming pool was closed and we did not have time to go to another place (where the hotel provided transfer).

Pros: this hotel was so beautiful. nice rooms, very good food. best and helpful staff. they supported us because we had so much trouble with our flight home because of the corona virus situation. couldn‘t imagine a better hotel staff, so helpful! thank you again very much!!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The best hotel bed i have slept in. Bliss. The attention to detail in all areas is immense. Location terrific and the free bikes a nice touch. Jewel in the crown has to be the breakfast and restaurant area by the lotus pond. Very high quality breakfast ingredients and fantastic local staff who are obviously well trained and happy at work.
Cons: Lighting was insufficient in the bedroom
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was so friendly!! It was efficiently run , and attention to detail.
Cons: It’s beautiful!!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Maison Dalabua was a beautiful hotel to stay at just 5 minutes from the Main Street in Luang Prabang. We enjoyed the pool facilities and our complimentary breakfast next to the serene lotus pond. Our room was exceptionally clean and spacious. It was the little things at this hotel that made our stay exceptional.
Cons: When organising transport the staff were not overly helpful. They tried to charge us $65 for a car to the waterfall. We walked outside and the first Tuk Tuk driver we asked only charged us $20. The hotel claimed they could not help us with an organising a Tuk Tuk.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic hotel
Cons: This is a gorgeous property with a very convenient location. The restaurant is centered around multiple lily ponds. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. Breakfast was included in the room rate and served in the restaurant. I would highly recommend staying there.

Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel grounds, our room, the staff, the amenities, the location, in short we loved all aspects of the hotel
Cons: Our stay at the Hotel was nearly "perfect" The only slight disappointment was even considering the undoubted quality of the hotel I felt the restaurant was a little over priced.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent cooking class by Chef John!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff, especially in the restaurant
Cons: Cinema screen in next to pool and rooms which was very loud. Definitely not appropriate in a luxury resort.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely, relaxing hotel with excellent rooms, good facilities, very welcoming staff.
Cons: Very small points, but the staff had booked a car for our flight departure time not our hotel departure time (quickly put right!) And I saved them from failing to charge us properly for an excursion and the car booking! (That might be a like rather than a dislike...)
7.1 Good
Pros: The pool was really good, chilled out and relaxing.
Cons: We enjoyed our stay... but, the staff lacked training and were very over baring a lot of the time. The room was nice but the bed wasn’t as comfy as I expected and some parts of the room could have done with some TLC. Also, the price of drinks and food were about 3 times the prices of elsewhere and the 10% admin cost added on is ridiculous.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Excellent service, kind staff, always up for grasp
Cons: Too many. Thought it was a Belmond hotel but seems like nothing fits with the brand. Completely out dated facilities, poor cleanness, full of mosquitoes, my toilet seat was shaking when sitting on it... poor quality breakfast, airport lounge does it better. Overall, it’s not worth the money. We moved from Amantaka to this one, wasn’t expecting this contrast. Attached photo slows the bed of baby cot...
7.9 Good
Pros: Very nice and wellcoming staff. Beautiful views
Cons: Didn’t like the bathroom very much. Showering in the bathtub not very convenient.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was phoenominal! From airport pick up from to airport drop off! The manager of the hotel introduced himself to us and made us feel welcome. All staff knew our names and were very interested to know our daily plans and if we were comfortable. We would stay here again and again! We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in or visiting Luang Prabang.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The architecture, a mix of French colonial, situated in spacious, well designed gardens makes for a nice place to come home to each day. But the staff make the place - nothing is too much trouble. They are attentive, kind, warm people that embody the beautiful Laos culture. They anticipated your needs and already had it solved before you knew you needed something. They were also on hand to welcome you back after a day out. The pool makes a delightful oasis to retreat to. The detailed finishes in the suites are of a high quality. Bedding was lovely and we had a great night sleep every night. I could go on but you get the idea ;)

Pros: Architecture and interior
10.0 Excellent
Pros: amazing breakfast, wonderful rooms, helpful staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: One of the nicest hotels we have stayed in ever. Fantastic tropical and authentic atmosphere, very professional and nice staff, big and very stylish and cozy rooms. The kitchen is likewise outstanding. Pool area superior. The Hotel is like a warm family home where we wanted to stay longer! ... and now top of the list of hotels we want to re-visit.
Cons: Not much to complain about. This is truly a great small luxury hotel!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were pick up by Ms. Pop and her colleague at the Pier in Luang Prabang. This was only the start of our stay. The pick up service was and still is amazing! SuperB! The hospitallity, the service, our room, breakfast, personel, everything is superB! Transport towards the post office. Breakfast! No bufet, but you can order what you would like to have (Western and Asian style). They arranged a scooter for us. The Residence does have bykes for their guests. The residence is outside the city centre, but Luang Prabang is not that huge, so everything is within walking distance and they have the post office shuttle bus. Special thanks too for Ms. Nang and Mr. Wat!
Cons: Nothing! Keep this level!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s beautiful and the staff is super friendly!

Pros: Originally booked 3 nights but loved the hotel and Luang Prabang so much we extended our stay for a further 2 nights. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty with lots of variety to choose from. It was my husbands birthday during our stay and the staff surprised him with a lovely cake. I was very touched by this, he loved it and the cake was delicious
Cons: We didn’t like leaving.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic property & hospitality. Would like to specially thank Elodi & her team who runs the place for personally connecting with each guest and catering to their needs. Always ready with helpful suggestions & tips. Property is on a quiet street, just a 10 min walk from night market & ~5 min from Mekong riverside. Clean room & bathroom, great breakfast! Highly recommended.
6.3 Good
Pros: Very clean with an excellent breakfast . A very pleasant swimming pool area Well kept gardens
Cons: The location was disappointing it was too far from the Centre of the Main Street where the best bars and restaurants are located The room although large was very dark with insufficient lighting . Windows are very small and the en-suite was also extremely dark not made better by dark decoration and terrible insufficient lighting We ordered a taxi to transfer us to the airport the day before leaving but it failed to turn up on time and so another guest offered to take us to the airport. Our taxi showed up as we were leaving but 10/15 minutes late. Reception were reluctant to return our 10 dollars for the fare and were far from pleasant. Returning home at nights by foot is not recommended due to poor to no street lighting I would not recommend this hotel.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Small hotel .very quiet..rooms quiet at night. Elodie and Cook very attentive also offering "Nutella" at breakfast for kids. Enough water provided. Upon check-in we had first a small superior room which was quite tight with the extrabed for our kid. Upon request they provided for free an upgrade to bigger room which was sufficient from size. Hotel is within 5 to 10 min walking distance from night market and restaurants.
Cons: We had a room at ground floor in the garden with quite a lot of mosquitoes around, upon request they sprayed the room and also prepared an extra mosquito net for the extrabed. Not sure whether there can be some gaze installed at the windows to prevent mosquitoes coming into the room.
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice breakfast. Nice pool with a lot of shade
Cons: The French manager continuing speaking French after we said that only one of us was a French-speaker... English would have been appreciated. - mosquito net wasn't very clean
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful large room with a soul. Ask for Room 1. Pool was great, with bar service and happy hour from 4-6. Breakfast was more than you could ask for - great coffee, baguette, croissants, etc.
Cons: Didn’t like leaving. We are traveling Asia for 6 weeks and this is the best place we have stayed. This is the first review I have ever written.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were very clean. Staff very polite and accommodating.
Cons: Honestly, everything was perfect.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Pool area for relaxation, great massage, extremely pleasant and helpful staff particularly the barman and at reception. Thank you to all for making it such a lovely stay.
Cons: Although good the food choices at times were limited. Perhaps the attentions of the european lady customer relations member of staff were a little 'pushy' and not in keeping with the otherwise relaxed but attentive and excellent service we received.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Walking distance to almost everything. Close to the Mekong River and many cafes, bars and restaurants where you can overlook the river and watch The Sunset.
Cons: Can’t think of anything we didn’t like.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel in an excellent location. We were upgraded to a suite which was very large and comfortable. The staff was exceptional. Breakfast was delicious. The staff even prepared an amazing take away breakfast on our departure day as we had a very early flight. I would highly recommend villa santi for your stay!
3.1 Mediocre
Cons: The hotel had no record of my confirmed and paid booking when I arrived. I showed them my confirmation and payment record, and after puzzling over it for an hour they shuttled me to their "resort" far out of town without apology. I was put in what must have been an overflow room that smelled like sewage. They refused to offer any refund and said that I had to take it up with the website. I was stranded there and forced to eat at the overpriced resort restaurant because it was late and there was no way back. The next morning, after a long wait, I was moved back to a room at the main hotel, again without apology. The room I was placed in was entirely average and the internet did not work. Luang Prabang is a lovely city, but I lost half of my two days there dealing with this hotel and its incompetent staff. Location is the only upside, but there are plenty of lovely looking guesthouses in town that I have no doubt would offer a superior experience for 1/4 the price.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: wonderful location and beautiful property
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good old vibes here like you go back to 70's period.
Cons: the bathroom was a bit worn out and mixed with many decoration styles.
7.0 Good
Pros: Staff was friendly. Green garden outside the room was peaceful.
Cons: Nothing in particular stand out to me. The coffee was poor to my taste. The rate on booking.com was a lot higher than what that of my friend who walked-in .
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The pillows were hard and so was the mattress.
Cons: The mattress and pillows.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location is perfect. Rooms are tidy and spacy. We were also upgraded.
7.0 Good
Pros: Close facilities
Cons: Quite expensive for 3 nights
5.0 Okay
Pros: Clean and good service. Food was ok. Quiet location but close to everything.
Cons: Expensive compared with what you get. Shower pressure was so bad so it was difficult washing you hair. Aircondition wasn't cooling so it worked more as a very noisy fan.

7.0 Good
Pros: The staff were amazing!
Cons: The room was cold even with a small heater and it really made showering very uncomfortable during this season. :(
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything :)
Cons: Nothing except the shower (it's a bit dark when you totally close the shower curtain) and a bit noisy due to the location of the hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel may blend with all the other buildings in the area but it is definitely a standout once you see yourself lounging in the lovely terrace by the Nam Khan River and passersby look your way in awe. Our room had a balcony facing the road and overlooking the river and it was superb. Wooden furnishing, super comfortable bed, free stuff from the bar (an opening promo), and a lavish shower made our stay truly comfortable. Add to that the amazing service from the staff right from the reception to the food up to the cooking class (I highly suggest that you opt for this experience). Many special thanks to Mr. Zack, Chef Noy, Mr. SOne & Mr. Bounmee for making our stay relaxing and carefree in Luang Prabang. PS The classic Mercedes is a fine touch!
Cons: Toothbrushes were not provided during our stay. We have our own but I think it should be part of the standard toiletry set (in case guests forget to bring their own). Other than that, all things are a-ok!

6.7 Good
Pros: The reception staff were helpful, the rooms were nice and clean and I liked that there was a kettle in the room.
Cons: I booked it for a spa trip but the girls doing the massages clearly couldn't be bothered and didn't want to be there. I tried twice for a massage and was met with rolling eyes and had to ask one to actually do something as she'd spent 40 minutes doing a one-handed massage as she was playing on her phone with the other. A massive shame as the only reason I booked this particular hotel was because it was also a spa.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location a short stroll down to the Mekong and the night markets. It was clean and friendly. If you want to book any trips the staff will easily arrange them for you.
Cons: The only thing is that as we didn’t pre book bed and breakfast we couldn’t add it on. But there is a coffee shop next door of tea/coffee facilities in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Staff really nice, we can managed everything from here like day trip, airport shuttle, sunset cruise, mapping, etc. we also got 1 get 1 free Saffron coffee and 1 hour massage for free! Location is great, close to everything by walk.
Cons: -
6.0 Good
Pros: Some of the personnel was friendly, location and area were quite nice. Shaffron Coffee had great coffee, bagels and other bakery.
Cons: If it wasn’t 40USD per night I would probably write a completely different review. It’s good to know it’s protected by UNESCO but moldy (black) bathroom and extremely aged yellowed barely working airco didn’t fall into the protection category apparently. For this price there was no breakfast included. Other properties in the area for twice as less money had way better new/sustained facilities plus breakfast included. All the extra things you get for free by staying extra nights don’t cost what they claim them to cost. Some of the personnel seemed disinterested. There was no help offered with my luggage (though I would refuse it anyway) while I was visibly exhausted on arrival and at least an offer to help is something I would expect for this price.. Even though I booked with booking, they had my passport and credit card information I had to wait for 5+ minutes at the reception while they were checking the room upon check-out..
6.0 Good
Pros: The outside area is lovely in the evening, location is great - super close to the night market (<5 mins), temple (<5 mins + stairs) and main restaurant area (<10 mins). All easily walkable. Nice big bed and good AC. The TV was a bonus for the afternoon I felt wiped out and needed some down time.
Cons: The rooms seemed in need of some TLC.. a lot of paint was chipped away, doors been varnishing, holes needed some plaster. It's a shame really because with a little bit of attention to the rooms it would be a really great place to stay. The WiFi also drops every 2 minutes. On arrival I was given an exchange rate that was simply made up. It took me a good 10 minutes showing reception the live exchange rate to get 50k Kip off the bill. It's not really about the money, I just didn't like getting screwed over, especially as soon as we had arrived. You expect that from a cheap hostel, but this place wasn't that cheap...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Well located, great staff, very clean, spa on site, close to the night market.
Cons: Nothing to dislike

Pros: Breakfast very good except the coffee and the cappuccino my friend has to pay! I
Cons: For the payment they didn’t ask the permission to debit the total invoice for the 2 rooms with our credit card. We have been already at the hotel. Our wish would have been to pay cash.....

Pros: everything was great. especially staffs are so nice and kind.
Cons: - there were some stairs from robby to room, or restaurant. normally it is not a problem at all, but it could be a little bit tough for the elderly. - location : not very close to downtown. cars or tuktuks cannot go through the bridge infront of the hotel. if you can rent a bike or a motorbike, it would be ok. (otherwise, you can take a shuttle)

Pros: First of all, the staff was fantastic. We had an issue with our credit card so we had to find an atm to get cash. The atm near the hotel was empty so we had to go to the city and the hotel staff took us there and found the atm that had enough cash for us. Then we had to rush to the airport which we were already late. The driver ensured us that they would get us there and we did made it to our flight ! The service was just beyond our expectation.
Cons: The wall is pretty thin so you can hear other rooms and outside.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful tropical vibe and decoration just like you see in the pictures. The whole setting is lush green. Very good location, near the bamboo bridge which is an attraction in itself (pay less than a dollar for a return ticket).
Cons: It doesn’t really feel like a boutique hotel: it is not a small hotel and you don’t get the kind of personal attentive treatment we felt in other places much less expensive in southeast asia.
7.5 Good
Pros: It was a nice property, the only problem was the noise in the room, due to the road and houses nearby
Cons: Really clean and vell kept
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place - close to the river promenade, but also has free shuttle bus service. Breakfast is amazing, good variety of food, fresh fruits Staff polite and helpful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful hotel on the banks of the Nam Khan river only a 10 minute walk into the center of town (over the bamboo bridge) or the same by hotel shuttle bus. Beautiful room with balcony overlooking the gardens & one of the swimming pools. Staff (& Stephan) were absolutely amazing & nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was extensive with both European & Laos choices. Dinner in the same location also had a good selection of local dishes overlooking the gardens & river beyond. Happy hour cocktails watching the sunset set across the river cannot be missed!
Cons: Absolutely nothing to dislike here!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The resort was superb, beautifully designed. Excellent room, breakfast was delicious, staff were very friendly and helpful. The garden was lovely, and it has 2 swimming pools.
Cons: Nothing. It's a bit out of the town centre, i.e. 5 mins walk, but even that could be considered a plus, cause it makes it very peaceful.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast. We liked the laid back location away from the busy part of Luang Prabang. Yes you had to pay a small amount to go across bamboo bridge but it was fun and the hotel was fantastic value compared with a far more expensive but charmless hotel we stayed at on our return to Luang Prabang at the end of our holiday.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I selected My Dreams resort based on friend's recommendation. It is a little gem indeed. We were unlucky the first night as our room was very nosiy, but they moved us to a quiet room as soon as one became available. And it was an unexpected upgrade, which was nice. Lovely place, a little out of town, which is easily accessible by hotel provided free shutle, free bikes, bamboo bridge or on foot. My only request for improvement would be coffee - please make better coffee. Soo important in the morning. I'll be back to check!

7.1 Good
Pros: The most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. The staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions.
Cons: Our room was situated directly next to the kitchen with a thin wall so we were woken up by the sound of dishes being cleaned late at night and at 7am- a pity as the bed was so comfortable! Ear plugs were provided but didn’t quite mask the noise enough for us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is amazing. Great location. The staff is unbelievably nice
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were well presented. Breakfast menu extensive and food excellent. Fantastic location- well situated for walking round town and historic sights. Staff were very professional, friendly and spoke good English
Cons: Nothing I could fault
9.7 Excellent
Pros: This was our third stay and it was every bit as good if not better than the first two. We had a large room with big bed covered with mosquito netting. The bathroom was modern but the hotel was wooden and felt like something from the early 20th century. The staff kept it clean. We had a terrace overlooking the garden. The breakfasts were excellent both western and Laotian.
Cons: Not much. Staff smoothed over any wrinkles.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice location and the staff were very friendly, helpful and nice. Our family was upgraded to residence family suite. The next day, Our flight was at 7pm so they moved us to another room so that we couls enjoy check out late upto 3pm. We do enjoy our stay here & shall be back for our next trip. PS: the intership guy was so helpful and friendly!!!
9.4 Excellent
Pros: This was our fourth trip and every bit as good as the other times we had hoped and requested rooms we'd had before but the staff worked to find us one as good. The staff bends over to make the stay momorable and succeeded. Recommended highly.
Cons: Not much. Food was better than last time. The hotel used to have a small shop but that's gone. I had bought great gifts in the past.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb service- my family goes every year and we love this hotel, and their staff! They are super caring and meticulous towards their guests’ needs
Cons: Nothing!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff service was excellent! They were very hospitable and made our stay really comfortable. The restaurant food was great! :)
Cons: Squeaky floor although I understand that it’s a historical building for a good reason. The metal lids of glass bottled drinking water had black marks inside (mold?). Again I understand the efforts in reducing plastic waste. I suggest the metal lids be treated with boiling water for sterilization.

Cons: All good
9.0 Excellent
Pros: - location: it's great! Right next to the national museum, night market and just around the corner from the main street area. Most places in LP are walk-able, so don't worry about that. It's also not far from the Mekong River, so you can always stroll down that road for more restaurants and bars, too. - staff: they were great, too. The manager was helpful with many questions I had. - hotel services: they did my laundry (twice) and even booked a private driver for my friend and I to go to Kuang Si Falls (even though that driver ended up trying to cheat us, but luckily we caught on and didn't end up paying the extra money). - utilities: A/C and hot water worked (the hot water was quite hot, in fact).
Cons: - breakfast: it wasn't terrible, but there are definitely other places to go to in town that serve much better breakfasts - noise: actually, it wasn't too bad, but there was the occasional rumbling of stuff nearby, even though my room was in back away from the street. - toilet: maybe it was just my room, but my toilet took forever to flush, although it seemed to refresh normally

Pros: Good location, very central. Breakfast is good as well. The rooms are big and comfy, however the sink was leaking a bit.
Cons: The first room we had was not ok. It had some strange smell and the bedsheets were not properly cleaned. We've got a new room which was much better. Some members of the staff don't speak Englis at all.
