Pros: Nice pool, nice decor, great dining floor with complementary breakfast and early evening refreshments. Convenience to venues on 4th Street Live. A good safe place for families even with young children, and still stylish.
Pros: Good Location next to 4th Street Live and near to the convention center. Free Shuttle from airport a real plus. Newer hotel in an older building. Bathroom was very large but surprisingly the bedroom area was on the small side. Everyone on staff at the property seemed very nice. Enjoyed the hot breakfast and happy hour.
Cons: Housekeeping was not so good. Coffee rings on counter remained through my stay never wiped up. Returned to my room one day at 5 PM to find the room was never made up so the next day I called to housekeeping to make sure my room would be cleaned before my 5 PM return only to come back to an untouched room. Very disappointing. Blackout drapes extremely hard to open or close. Had to call maintenance and the pull rod fell off one time. Maintenance said these drapes have been a constant problem.
Pros: Super downtown hotel, excellent service, very modern and contemporary furnishings. My meetings were across the street in the old outdated Selbach Hotel which was full. I am so glad that I chose to stay across the street at the Embassy, so much nicer setting.
Cons: Thermostat didn't allow the room to get cool enough and the beautiful glass shower allowed water to leak out onto the floor.
Pros: The front desk staff knew what they were doing. They answered all questions with a smile and what they said was a fact. The valets went over the top to accommodate our special requests and there were several. If you want to stay near 4th Street Live. This is the place. The free breakfast was great and the happy hour was too. Stay here when in Louisville. I know I will again. I did not meet a single employee who was not friendly and professional. Well done all.
Pros: The hotel was newly finished and was beautiful. The location was centralize and idea for activities in the downtown area.
Cons: I travel often and regularly stay in a variety of hotels which fall into this category (many of them are also Embassy Suites.) However, In my many years of travel I have never found a larger group of rude, dismissive, and unprofessional employees then those of Embassy Suites in Downtown Louisville. Not until my recent visit to this hotel, was I ever given the impression that a hotel staff was intentionally trying to NOT be accommodating and/or helpful. It interesting that a team in the service industry, would seeming go out of their way to do this. This is also rather disappointing, considering that I paid almost $700.00 for two room and a 1 night stay. I would think for that price I should NOT have a "supervisor" raise his voice to me, then publicly shame me for booking through a 3rd party booking site (apparently this makes you a second class citizen and justifies them treating you poorly,) and then proceed to scream at me "what do you want me to do about it." Please keep in mind that this was in front of my friends and about 20 stranger in the lobby, oh and 10 other employees of the hotel... Classy! All of this stemming from their in ability to accommodate the simple request of adjoining rooms. Also keep in mind that I had called this hotel several times in the days prior to my check-in and spoke to a variety of people regarding this. All of whom told me different things - everything from "sure, no problem," to "I've added a note..., "or call back on this day and tell them to..." Also during this train wreck of an experience, I had two employees who couldn't even find my reservation, one of which did everything but call me a liar. However, he did manage to rather blatantly imply that I didn't really have a reservation and that I must have either made a mistake, or was making it up to pull one over on them....are you kidding me?!? As it turns out, the only reason they couldn't find my reservation was because the employees didn't understand that if you are trying to pull up a booking from a later date, you have to change the date of your search to that day and not the current date... Sounds rather basic... Of course, I can't blame those employees - clearly they were poorly trained! In short - unless you want to be verbally abused by the staff and be made to feel bad because you only spent $700 on your room(s) instead of $750, this is not the place for you.

Pros: First time staying at Homewood Suites. Very impressed. Will be at the top of our list the next time we travel.
Pros: The staff was exceptional, ! We actually checked out ready to fly out. The airlines oversold our flight so we decided to recheck back in and loved it even more! Thanks everyone! We will be back next year!
Pros: Very nice, clean and roomy hotel located in a nice area. Had an awesome hot breakfast with everything you could ask for.
Cons: As a smoker, I am outside a lot. Would have been nice to have some benches/chairs outside. I did not dislike that there were none...just would have been nice if there were. I know no one cares about smokers wants...just my thoughts!
Pros: Hotel rooms are spacious and kept clean. Service at the front desk was cordial and friendly.
Cons: There was one thing that came up after my trip which irked me. After coming home from the trip, I noticed that there was an inexplicable surcharge on my account the day I arrived at the hotel. I did not appreciate the lack of transparency from the hotel.
Cons: outdoor pool wasn't open yet, but understandable with season and excessive rain in the area.
Pros: Great folks, staff was very attentive. Property is well taken care of.
Cons: Can't think of a thing.
Pros: The room was absolutely huge - 2 bedrooms and a sofabed. Could have slept 8. The hot breakfast (which I think they only have Saturdays and Sundays) was excellent. An incredible deal for a family. The staff were very friendly, too.
Cons: I would frankly have preferred a location closer to downtown, but it was a busy weekend in the city and nothing was available. That said, it is close to the highway, easy to find, and you can drive downtown in 20 minutes or less.
This was our first visit to a Homewood Suites and it was definitely something I'd recommend to a friend. The staff was great and we really enjoyed the 2 bedroom suite. The fact that breakfast and dinner were provided was an added bonus. It was a great vacation.
Pros: We loved the layout of the room. Most of the staff was super helpful and very accomodating!
Cons: The pool was outdoors and closed on Labor Day. We were there 1 day too late to enjoy.
Cons: Our room was on the fourth floor and even though it was a nonsmoking floor - it still smelled of old cigarette smoke in the hallways.
Pros: Could not move my reservation to a different homewood suites when plans changed. Probably won't use Priceline again.

Pros: Louisville was a half way meeting point for a group of friends from Ohio and Tennessee. When we were not out site seeing it was relaxing to just hang out in our room- it was quite homey. One time after having been on our feet all day, we entered the hotel through the side door and realized there was a pool of which we had not noticed when the reservation was made. Lucky for us there was a Target near by and we were able to pick up some last minute swim attire. Thank you for such a great visit!
Cons: This is not a complete negative, but at one point we wanted to go to pool and saw that there was a mob of teenagers already at pool (probably there on a school trip). There may have been 20 and having a little too much fun for us to want to interupt, so we returned a few hours later and the kids had left quite the mess with towels and safety equipment.
Not any fault of the hotel staff.

Pros: Perfect atmosphere with tremendous service. Really hated to leave.
Cons: need more updates with carpeting - or better cleaning service
Pros: Staff is nice and does its best to be helpful
Cons: Hotel is badly in need of a refresh. My room was tired, carpet had stains. Quality is really variable.
Pros: The architecture
Cons: Being charged for parking
Pros: Beautiful atmosphere, excellent staff.
Cons: The ac in our room was not effective and the room was very hot. There was a large group of high school students who were very loud and took over the lobby at one point. I would think that booking large groups of children would not be common place in this hotel as it appeals mainly to adults and the noise from kids works against the atmosphere.
Pros: The staff was superb. Service was impeccable. The facilities were very clean. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed every aspect of the Brown Hotel. A hot brown for breakfast at the J. Graham's Cafe was the perfect ending to our stay. Loved it!
Cons: The only thing that I did not like was the fact that we could not go into the clubhouse because we were not a member.
Cons: Room was poorly appointed for the cost. No fan in the bathrooms. Doors are lightweight and thin, as are the walls. Room size was rather small. There is a Hampton Inn nearby that offers a much better value for a lower price point. That will be our go-to spot for future trips to Louisville.
Pros: Our stay at the Brown Hotel was exceptional. Great location to all attractions and site seeing. The hotel was very nice, clean, and spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall we were very pleased with our stay at the Brown.
Cons: Our only dislike may not be a problem with others. The bed was too soft. We are use to a more firm mattress. Didn't sleep well and woke up with a backache. The bed was just too plush us.
Pros: Wonderful lobby bar and a beautiful old grand hotel. My new go to for Louisville
Cons: Only had an issue with one server but I feel I only noticed it because the rest of the service was so fabulous
Pros: Our experience overall was great...but I don't feel it was anything over the top for the type of property that it is and rate that we paid per night. The location was good...and many of the staff members were very hospitable and kind.. James in in-house reservations was wonderful, as I called to reconfirm our reservation, note our preferences and that it was Anniversary and he blocked us accordingly. Evan and Amanda were truly welcoming at check-in. Colin our Bellman/Valet was very personable and always gave great recommendations. Shamaya in housekeeping was so very friendly and welcoming...always offering us chocolates which was a sweet touch!!
Cons: There are a few items that we didn't truly enjoy during our stay... I called in and noted it was our Anniversary during our stay and honestly expected some type of acknowledgement during our time there...and there was nothing. In past stays at luxury properties they have at the least mentioned it during check-in...and then at times upgraded us or even sent a little something with a card up to the room. I felt this was a missed opportunity to WOW!!! The mattresses are definitely an item that should be replaced...as they seemed older and were quite uncomfortable. We opted to reserve a room on the Club Floor to take advantage of inclusions...which we had higher expectations for the Club Lounge. As both food offerings for both "happy hour" and breakfast were very repetitive and seemed "cheap"/low-quality. With staying at a luxury property that boasts a talented culinary team we expected higher quality and more variety.
Cons: No refrigerator or microwave in room was inconvenient.

Pros: I enjoy staying at A loft properties, Aloft Louisville downtown was the perfect location for attending the Forcastle Waterfront weekend event.
Cons: Had to make three attempts making coffee to get one cup that did not curdle from the spoiled hotel provided half & half creamers.
Pros: Location was great, and the bed was comfy.
Cons: Bad service at check in, toilet didn't work, sink didn't drain, loud cleaners in the morning, smelled.
Cons: We arrived at 5pm for check-in and we told to wait because rooms were not clean - Garth Brooks concert the night before. Poor management and service, they could have offered us a free drink while we waited. Instead they guided us to their overpriced bar. They told us 20 minute wait, turned into 1 hour until we were able to get into our room. Not what I expected for the price and the hotel reviews.
Pros: Loved the location, downtown bars and the KFC Yum Center were all a comfortable walk away.
Cons: Did not like the price of the hotel. But the location was so good I would pay it again.
Pros: The staff was very attentive and easy to work with. The location was perfect for the concert at the YUM center.
Cons: the layout of the bathroom isn't what I would associate with a high end hotel. It had the feeling of a gym shower. I believe they fell short on the design there. Taking a shower and standing on a wet floor to get dressed is not ideal.

We offer easy-breezy access to the convention center, entertainment and sports venues, and trendy restaurants. Meet & mingle with friends at our w xyz(SM) bar, grab a sweet, savory, or healthy snack from re:fuel by Aloft(SM), our 24/7 pantry, or play in our re:mix(SM) lounge. Breeze into one of our Aloft rooms, featuring our ultra-comfortable signature bed, walk-in shower, custom amenities by Bliss® Spa, and more. Pros: This is a awesome hotel in a great location. Staff at the desk were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was decorated in a very modern style. There was a 65 inch TV in the room.
The hotel also has a restaurant and bar. I ate 3 meals there and the fool was good and preparation was excellent.
I would not hesitate to stay there again.,
Cons: Front desk workers, although eager to assist, did not have a good command of the English language. The accents were very heavy, and sometimes I had to ask them 2 or more times to repeat what they said.
Pros: The location is great, right on fourth street. The bed was very comfy and the tv was huge.
Cons: The bathroom was freezing, and the noise from the late night parties echoed from the lobby right outside the door, made it hard to sleep. Valet was expensive and the pool was alright, kind of small. No hot tub. No free wifi, no breakfast included. For the cost, I expected more.
Pros: The basic room appeared recently renovated and was borderline luxurious, depending on your definition of luxury. Definitely highly comfortable. High-end bathroom, bed and bedding were marvelous, the robe is a welcome touch. Stayed Fri-Sun, there was a lot going on in and around the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised at how the noises disappeared once my room door closed.
The complimentary Wifi was more than sufficient for my needs without having to upgrade, and was trouble-free. Nice to see a hotel that's recognized by 2016 that a couple of USB charging ports on the nightstand might be handy; I didn't have to take my wall charger out of my bag. There's a room safe big enough for a 13" laptop (but not a 15") and the safe has a 110V outlet inside the door, nice. Huge flatscreen with great sound.
Room keys are chips, not mag swipe, so you can unlock the door without taking the key out of your wallet.
The elevator might leave your stomach in the lobby when you're going up ;)
Parking was advertised at $13 but ended up being only $10; there's no integration with the room key though so you have to keep up with your ticket.
This hotel is connected to the Louie Link enclosed walkway that runs from Galt House and KFC Yum Center at the north to Fourth St Live at the south.
And the staff is great! Highly recommended. Thanks!
Pros: location, gym, comfy bed
Cons: The noise in the hotel did not stop all night. When I checked out in the morning there was a drunk asleep in front of my door. Not worth it

Pros: More economical and friendlier than some AirBnb stays we've had. I actually felt pampered between the popcorn, Kick Back, and amenities in our room and on the grounds. I also felt very safe. The Staff were impeccable!
Cons: It was a bit noisy. Folks brough barking dogs and the lobby is so busy it's loud. You can hear it in the rooms. But we turned on the fans for white noise and drowned it out.
Pros: Very clean and nice room decor
Pros: Hospitality, breakfast, and clean facilities.
Cons: Still a little pricey compared to the surrounding hotels but it is a step above those.

Pros: I typically do not leave reviews, but I thought this hotel deserved it. First the staff was excellent, well mannered, and super helpful. check in/out was fast. Overall the hotel and the room was very clean, the beds were comfortable (& clean) breakfast was good, and the pool was not to hot or cold...very relaxing place and the price was unbeatable. I will stay here again when visiting and I would recommend to others! :)
Cons: The only thing I wasn't to pleased with was when checking out I was charged $25.00...the lady a the front desk said it would be returned but still yet to receive it. Other than that it was awesome.
Cons: The bed was less than a foot from the AC unit with the air aimed directly at my head the entire night..
Turning it off wasn't an option as it was 90+ in Louisville.
The AC unit filter must have not been cleaned in years as after the second night, I woke up with a terrible sore throat and cough from what I assume is bacteria particles in the air.
Cons: Breakfast ended to early

Pros: 8 Up is a wonderful place to dine. The weather being nice- the roof top dining & drinks outside was fantastic
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff at reception.
Cons: 8Up understaffed on weekend nights.
Pros: Good location. Not far from the convention center. Rooftop restaurant/bar was decent but overpriced.
Cons: Wish there was a pool. They had a partnership with the YMCA closeby but that is not convenient for a business trip.

Cons: When there were a lot of guests breakfast time was crazy and didn't make sense in some ways.
Pros: Excellent breakfast included,! Newspapers and Internet access provided
Pros: Stayed in the double room with pull out sofa. Clean space. Lots of space for us three.
Cons: The bed sheets were stiff felt overused. The toilet was in the way of the bathroom door and had to push it with force to close.
Pros: The staff were extremely helpful and professional
Cons: The breakfast. Both hot items were eggs with peppers. Many people do not or cannot eat peppers. Just plain eggs would have been better.
Pros: Nice touches in the room like a lounge blanket for the couch
Cons: Got chips and salsa, salsa had gone rancid. Brought the salsa back to lobby, was still billed for it

Cons: A bit more hair in the shower than I would have liked. One of two treadmills was broken. More variety of cereals at breakfast would be nice.
Pros: Lost of space in the suite, comfortable king size bed, pillows I liked so well I'm going to buy some, huge shower, fridge and microwave in room, a place to lounge on the couch and relax, location was decent, staff was nice, breakfast was decent
Cons: The shower could be cleaned better. There was some mold.Rest of the room was perfect.
The indoor pool that's was advertised as heated was cold.

Cons: Very noisy. Could hear guest walking above our room. Bed was as comfortable as I had hoped.
Pros: Looked very modern
Pros: Looks very new and modern only old thing was the fridge..

Pros: Very nice rooms and plenty of space. Workout room was clean.
Cons: All good
Pros: The little store inside where you can buy snacks, meals, and any necessities you may need or forgot. The staff if exceptional and go out of their way to make sure your stay is enjoyable.
Cons: I kinda wish it was closer to a gas station or something within walking distance. If it wasn't for their store, I would ended up paying more for food delivered.
Pros: Nothing special
Cons: The fan on the bathroom lousy !
Cons: No housekeeping unless you stay over a week, very small TV, no HBO
Convenient to the airport, restaurants and shopping at a reasonable distance. A quiet residential/business area of town.
Pros: Location to airport...
Cons: The main sleeping area was clean, however the bathroom area had not been throughly cleaned which made me question the kitchen area also.
The location was in a quiet area, safe. We've stayed here before, everyone is so nice and helpful. The suites are fabulous.
Pros: It was centrall to where we needed to go, easy access to freeway, airport malls etc.

Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were cozy. Safe neighborhood.
Cons: Indoor pool was the temperature of the creek in January.

Pros: Great location & quality without paying through the nose.
Cons: Rude guests on our floor, nothing to do with the hotel or staff!
Pros: Within walking distance to Yum center, 4th street, and many restaurants. Staff is very friendly, loved the coffee bar, and didn't have a problem getting a late check out. Will stay again!
Cons: No problems or complaints
Pros: Traveled with my teenage daughter. The hotel was centrally located and 3 blocks walking distance from 4th Street. The free breakfast was ample and we felt very safe. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly too!
Cons: 1. There was a parking charge which wasn't noted when I booked. Chose this hotel because I like to park myself (and thought it was free) vs paying valet most other places. If I had known of the fee I would have just gone somewhere else and paid valet.
2. Bathroom - No fan in the bathroom made it a hot steamy mess. Also the tub drained so slowly it filled up during the shower. I'm surprised no one cleaning the shower noticed/reported the slow drain.
Pros: I made the mistake of showing up a day early for my reservation. The hotel staff found me a room anyway. The hotel was clean our room was clean and the staff was very friendly. They do offer breakfast but I didn't get up for that. I did go to a place called Toast on Market for breakfast and it was very good. The location is great. They offer a free shuttle to anyplace downtown but that is something else I did not take advantage of because everything is in walking distance. We only stayed one night but we bounced around downtown Louisville for the entire day and we were able to leave our car parked on the hotel lot for free. Eddie Merlot's Steak and Seafood was a fantastic place to have dinner as well. Great food and great service.
Pros: Close to 4th Street and downtown
Cons: Checkout time
Pros: Staff was very friendly. Lobby was pretty, breakfast was above average for continental type breakfast. Free shuttle to anywhere in downtown area until 11pm.
Cons: The carpet in the room smelled damp. While the hotel is 'centrally' located, being right in the downtown area, it's not exactly the nicest part of downtown but this is subjective. Also, two drunk guests walked into the elevator, one of them smoking a cigarette on the elevator. Maybe smoking in public areas is acceptable at this hotel but it's definitely not something I was accustomed to encountering. Overall, I wasn't super satisfied with the hotel.
Pros: Good, centralized location. Walkable city. Lots to see and do. The hotel staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Room was well appointed with plenty of outlets for charging electronics. Breakfast was well stocked and with a good assortment of food from which to choose. Pool was clean, exercise room had purvey of options from which to choose.
Cons: Even on the eighth and highest floor, the street noise (esp frequent sirens, fire trucks, etc) was loud. We were traveling with expensive medication that required refrigeration (not freezing) and were aghast to find the water bottle in the fridge frozen solid in the morning. Even after turning the controls all the way down, the temperature was still enough to freeze water overnight e next day. The tub drained very slowly and the toilet seats are the cheap kind that slip across the rim of the toilet, leaving one feeling off-centered when seated. The shampoo 'samples' are in such small bottles that it's nearly impossible to get much out (particularly given that there's not that much in there to begin with).
Pros: Staff at front desk, cleaning staff and staff in the breakfast area were all very friendly!
I travel VERY frequently for business and truly appreciate that the towels I hung up were left there for me to re-use (as suggested by the notice in the bathroom). I would say this only happens 1 out of 10 stays. Usually I get totally new, clean towels even when I hang up my used towels. It's important to me to save energy and other resources and when a hotel advertises its green policies it means a lot when they stick to them. Thanks so much to the housekeeping staff for being environmentally conscious! Hampton Inn continues to be my hotel chain of choice for pleasure and business travel.

Pros: The rooms are amazing and the beds are plenty big for two people
Cons: The placement of the pool
Pros: The pool and hot tub were nice and the room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was the cherry on top.
Cons: Some staff were great, others were interesting.
Pool & hot tub were nice but you can tell they were older. No other issues.
Pros: easy access to freeway. not luxury hotel but good value for the money.
Cons: breakfast area needs to be larger to fit all the people that use this service.

Cons: When we arrived to check in the clerk mentioned that the pool and weight room were closed for renovations. We were not interested in either facility, so it wasn't a big deal. After a night out, we returned rather late to the room and went to bed. We were woken up by the sounds of banging and loud machinery above our room. When we called the front desk they said we didn't have to chose to stay here and that we ahould uave known better. We were furious at only getting about 4 hours of sleep because they started construction at 8am when check out wasn't until 11am. Needless to say we'll never stay there again.
Pros: Location. Friendly staff
Cons: The hotel is in depserate need of renovations. the mud brown carpets, and yellow lighting fixtures create a borderline terrifying walk to your room. Inside the room, the windows do not have any curtaiins, only gossimer sheers, and the uplighting from the hotel grounds illuminate your entire room at all hours of the night. I found it easy to tollerate the ugly interior, but not being able to sleep due to the massive amount of light coming through the windows was unacceptable. I have stayed in several hotels around the St. Matthews area, and all of them have been more pleasant experiences.
