Hotel Current, built in 1968, is now an eco-friendly hotel that features a location in Long Beach that makes it easy to get to a range of destinations popular with vacationers and business travelers. Pros (+) The maintenance guy, when we were finally able to get the front desk to have him check out our room, was a fast worker and great to talk to. The bathroom was really nice, aside from the faucet not being screwed on (maintenance guy fixed it), shower gel container they provided was broken, and toilet looked about 20 years old. They gave us a bottle of wine since we were there for our honeymoon.
Cons (-) It's really a motel, not a hotel. Room was not artsy, eclectic, or colorful like they advertise- it was brown, beige, and black with only 2 splashes of color in the whole room. Housekeeping sucked- didn't vacuum when there were obvious areas of food crumbs, left the garbage can on the toilet, didn't replace ice bag, didn't notify maintenance of problems with room (he specifically said they're supp...
