New plane, friendly staff, good Wi-Fi, good entertainment.
Main problem was with the Icelandair personnel who worked on the connecting flight, and told us we would receive an upgrade for all the inconvenience we had on that flight. This was not followed up on at all by the crew on the 2nd leg
Passport control in Reykjavik was understaffing and we almost missed our flight
Schiphol airport is a nightmare. Very confusing and not user friendly at all. Icelandair downgraded us from Saga class at the last minute and I spent 20 minutes on hold because there was no counter person to deal with in AMS. The compensation they gave us was horrible.
The flight delay caused our bags to be left behind In Seattle.
The whole process was rough. Every plane we went on was delayed, the seats were absurdly squished there was no leg room whatsoever, and you had to board outside every time because it didn’t go up to the gate. We traveled with a baby and they had my husband go to the front were there was no changing table in the stall, and baby had a poo while there was turbulence so that was fun. No food served unless you pay up, which they already overcharged and cancelled on us twice so I will not ever be flying Iceland again.
Alaska Airlines is 100 times better than Iceland Air
The Keflavik airport is CRAZY! We got COVID from standing 6 inches apart from other passengers for over an hour. Their passport control is crazy. Wear your mask (N95) because it can kill your vacation. When boarding the flight, we were packed in 2 flight of staircase. It was so dangerous. We could have toppled all over with our carryon etc. Some were helping compromised travelers with carryon. The business class is so bad. There is NO LEG SUPPORT. You get wide seat, mediocre food and drinks and blanket. That's it. And you pay 4 times for this. We looked at the regular cabin and the seats were so narrow. It is awful to treat passengers like this. Airport chaotic and an airline that doesn't give a hoot about their customers. Never again.
The padding in the seat was a little thin but otherwise the flight was fine. Thankfully, it didn’t take 3 hrs to get thru checkin at the Reykjavik airport the way it did last year.
Amazing service
Flight was delayed 2 hours. This is the first international flight I've ever been on that serves no food whatsoever. Not even a little bag of peanuts. Going from Iceland to PDX, the screens with movies and flight information were off and there was a sign saying you must use your mobile phones to access the plane's wifi, but the wifi was out of order. It was a VERY long inhospitable flight.
4 hour delayed flight, with no food vouchers
DO NOT FLY OUT OF AMSTERDAM INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. You will witness the longest line you have ever seen by miles (literally). The line for security snakes around the airport outside and takes up the majority of the airport internally. The worst flying experience I’ve ever had, hands down. Fix your airport @Netherlands Government.
I wont be booking through Iceland air, they didnt refund my ticket due to COVID illness.
Almost 2 hours to check in bags and flight delayed almost 3 hours.
We paid extra to sit together, but when separated, attendants acted like there is nothing they could do about it. If the in-air service crew can’t fix it, then maybe not separating our seats in the first place would be appreciated. The crew was all very kind and professional though
I wasn't able to take this flight due to getting hospitalized with Covid and they refused to accommodate me and refund my money. Very bad on the airline to not help out a customer who has a true illness
The boarding process was confusing, we were waiting outside the gate and on the stairs. There did not seem to be much communication from crew to passengers.
Passengers crowd up to a gate rather than wait in line. Many don’t respect the business class vs coach class, and ticket takers don’t enforce, so everyone gets on whenever they like. The plane was late. Bags were lost.
Our flight was three hours late. We missed our connecting flight in Iceland. After re-booking, IcelandAir lost our luggage. We arrived six hours late with no luggage. Painful experience.
Cancelled due to COVID
Cancelled due to COVID
Same as previous review
Like- I got safely from point A to point B. Could be better- I did not realize there would be no food/snacks offered with drink services on the flights. It also took 2+hours to get our luggage in Dublin without any notification of why or when we could expect to receive it at the baggage claim. We spent as much time waiting for our luggage as we spent on our last leg of the flight. That was unfortunate but the real dissatisfier was the lack of communication.
Improve Food choice Snacks Crew was very helpful and attentive
Overall the experience was a positive one.
On time and helpful friendly staff
This flight was smooth sailing. However again came off plane and had to run for connecting flight no time to relax cause of first flight being delayed due to the busy vacation lines
My screen on seat didn’t work. Maybe it froze however flight was smooth sailing considering how busy both terminals were. I made my flights with minutes to spare. Had the bag check in opened sooner maybe than I would have been more relaxed instead of rushing to catch plane
I’d highly recommend Iceland Air. Best airline I’ve traveled with in a long time
On board Icelandair flights, cabin baggage should not exceed 55x40x20cm. If your hand luggage is bigger, the Icelandair assistance team will most likely ask you to pay extra for checked luggage.
