B&B Le Rideux - Durbuy - Building

9.5 Excellent (265 reviews)
AED 375+
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really lovely little room with a log burner. Great hosts, Couldn't do enough for us. Lovely breakfast. Huge private garden that the dog could run around in. Lovely pool although we were there in snow so cant comment on that really. Very close to Durbuy and other lovely Wallonian towns. But is you like walking in the woods you could spend a whole holiday in Heyd! The walking is fantastic. There are some great restaurants in the village and several in the village 5 minutes away too.
Cons: If you like a big room you probably need to ask for one of the other rooms. It was big enough for us though. A small double room with room for the dog bed in front of the fire.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It has a very nice garden, flemish tv, hospitality, pets are allowed and they are free to stay. Very nice and quiet neighbourhood. You can make very nice walks in the neighbourhood. The hosts were very friendly.
Cons: It's a b&b but you still need to pay for the other b (breakfast). We were surprised when we got an email with the question if we would like to have breakfast and what the price is if we like to have breakfast. We saw that they have a lot of extra facilities but also here you have to pay extra for it.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location, the view, service, friendliness
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Such a beautiful, peaceful location and setting to get away from the world. We were very impressed that everything had been built by the owners. We stayed in a cabin type room with a log burner - a perfect November getaway. The bnb bomb was very chic, designed to a high standard and felt like a luxurious treat.
Cons: There wasn't a door on the bathroom/no shower curtain for privacy. The toilet had very thin walls. We weren't aware that breakfast or wellness were additional costs when booking. This should be made clear before booking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: we had the family room, which was basically a house over two floors, so very spacious as room for 8 but only 4 of us. Garden and little pool was lovely Location good for going to popular place like Adventure Valley and Durbuy
Cons: only downside was that house wasn't very sound proof, so people in loft room above us could hear us and vice versa
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice welcoming service and team. It was a pleasure to stay there. The room was very clean and we had the opportunity to try sauna and jacuzzi with an amazing view over the countryside. It was a very nice experience.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is a very nice place for a weekend with friends or family. Over the years we’ve stayed in three different parts of the complex and all have been great. The hosts are friendly and helpful and the grounds are very well kept.
Cons: I believe there’s too little privacy for a romantic getaway. The terraces are often shared and the windows and glass doors offering a beautiful view always includes a view of somebody else’s accommodation or terrace as well. That breaks the spell a bit. Otherwise highly recommended.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable
Cons: Very nice and helpful host We liked the time we stayed with the lovely couple
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at Villa Roma in order to go the F1 grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps. We arrived early evening and were greeted by Linda and Robert who offered us drinks and made us feel very welcome. We were given clear directions to local places to eat and also given recommendations. Although the walk into Durbuy may be a little challenging for some we did it each night and had some very good meals there. Robert kindly loaned us some picnic chairs so we watched qualifying on Saturday in comparative comfort. Villa Roma is in situated in beautiful countryside and on Sunday morning we were greeted by the sight of a balloon festival launch which was quite spectacular in the still of the morning. Other guests included a British family who were F1 fans and they had used Villa Roma for the last 4 or 5 years which tells you something. All in all it was a super place to stay and we would like to return to explore the area further.
Cons: All good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Love accommodation! Stunning views of countryside!
Cons: Payment matter! As had booked with credit card on line.. But told by host I had to pay by cash! which was annoying and felt very uncomfortable about as had to find a bank the next day! Another matter was our neighbors on the balcony! Who sat in front of our door outwards!

Overview Reviews
With a stay at La Librairie in Durbuy, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Durbuy Adventures and Radhadesh. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The owners were super friendly.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room with a kingsize bed, a large bathroom and very modern shower unit (also spacious). Separate toilet, mini-bar and coffee and tea making facilities. More than enough storage space for both bags and clothers. Owners are very helpfull and friendly and try to accommodate all languages :) Breakfastbuffet very good and leaves nothing to be desired. Fresh fruit, yoghurt and all types of other foodstuffs to eat (cheese, ham, saucage). Large selection of fresh and yummie bread from the local bakery! Room has private entrance through the private parking space that accompanies the room. Also a terrace just for you. People walking by probably feel like you are just sitting on a parking lot but sitting on the privat terrace you can enjoy the people walking past along the river Ourthe without the hustle and bustle of the touristy town centre. La Librarie also has a store attached with all types of things you might need (water, drinks, sunhats, newspapers & magazines, postcards, slippers, shawls, souvenirs, snacks etc) and it is one of the few stores in the town! Several excellent walks from Durbuy (longer and shorter.. buy a map at the tourist information and also check out the info signs opposite the tourist information for indications of walks from the town center)
Cons: We talked with the owner about leaving the 'frontdoor' of the room open at night which means direct access to the room from streetlevel and for people walking past. This was not exeptional for the area but as we are city folks we didn't feel comfortable doing that. It meant the room got a little hot during the night but the owner told us that they are working on a solution to both feel safe and fresh :) For our stay we just left the door open until we went to sleep and opened it when we woke.. the room is of a size that you don't feel too stuffy but it might be hotter when temperatures rise to over 25 degrees. A general remarke about Durbuy: look into public transportation options beforehand if you don't drive. It is possible to get there with a bus more frequent during july-august but you do need to plan ahead (and when to go back).
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Alles was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner and Papa are very nice host. Hotel location is great, just in the city center. Breakfast is well prepared and tasty.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location - very pretty village Free parking Beds made daily Breakfast was lovely Room was very clean Mini bar in room No noise at night
Cons: No lift No kettle in room
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Really great host and brilliant location. Durbuy is only very small but this spot is ideal. Really nice buffet breakfast and the room was clean and had all the amenities. Really good having parking on site. Very picturesque town.
Cons: We visited in September on a Sunday and the town was very busy during the day. However, most places at night were closed including bars and restaurants. This was disappointing.
6.0 Good
Pros: The owners were delightful. The room was comfortable and view nice. I really loved the quiet of the back of the hotel and the location.
Cons: The hotel did not have a nice place to “hang out” and socialize. The smoking from the staff quarters permeated the whole downstairs and the upper back rooms . This was an offensive unpleasantry.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was perfect, delicious, full size croissants. The lovely staff keep replenishing all the breakfast buffet and you had your own big pot of coffee. The room on the 2nd floor at the back of the hotel was very quiet, and as it has a fire exit it has a special ladder fitted beyond the juliet balcony, I would say it might be difficult for the less nimble among us to be able to use it. It was great to have the mini bar if you needed drinks, and the fresh coffee maker is welcome, although no kettle, so I couldn't make an early morning cup of tea(I wasn't worried as the tea available at breakfast was ample) . There was a floor standing fan in the room, really appreciated it when it was so hot, very nice touch.Parking is easy, and the stairs to the hotel are off the carpark for ease of taking luggage up. Guy was so helpful as we couldn't get to the hotel until after 9pm, nothing was too much trouble for him. If you are going to the F1 in Belguim this hotel and the town is a little gem.
Cons: The bathroom is adequate, but the addition of more hooks for clothes and bathtowels to be hung while showering, and a small cupboard underneath the sink to put your toiletries in would improve the comfort.
6.3 Good
Pros: Nice location
Cons: We booked double bed and ended up sleeping in two small separate beds instead. Wifi doesnt work.

7.1 Good
Pros: Perfect location in Durbuy, super central can walk anywhere. Breakfast is delicious. The new building is beautiful, the restaurants are delicious. Staff is friendly.
Cons: The old part of the building is definitely in need of renovation, so it gives a less good feeling about your value for money when staying there. There were some big spiderwebs in our room when we arrived, which gave the impression that the cleaning was not done thoroughly (even though the rest was overall very clean) and the safe was broken and couldn't be opened anymore...
5.0 Okay
Pros: there was a lot of noise till 3.15 AM from 11.00 pm previous evening. Nightwatch came and ask other guests to calm down but nothing happened. Finally my wife shouted at 3.00 am and slowly it become more quiet. I had called a few times to ask to keep voices down. 7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very good
Cons: Staff wasn't very polite. Both the reception as the staff at the braekfast area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, allowed our big Golden Retriever at a small cost and a beautiful room.
Cons: N/A
4.2 Okay
Pros: Very quiet room. Pastries at breakfast
Cons: Bed too soft; Shower mould ; dirty sheets; Wifi slow; Staff ignorant; Not suitable for old people or dogs afraid of steep open metal grill stairs. We were told the stairs were shallow and closed. Alternative room offered and accepted which was old and cramped at no reduction with no apology. Breakfast felt rushed and cramped feeding area. Terrible coffee.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room we got was right on the top floor, facing the castle on one side and the anticline on the other (partial view) which was quite lovely. The room was very cozy and the bed was comfy. We really like the rustic/slightly industrial and modern feel of this hotel. In terms of breakfast, some might find the selection limited, but it’s good enough to fill your stomach if you like continental breakfast. They also had a small selection of hot food which includes scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, and bacon. There was a type of sweet brown loaf which looked like banana nut loaf was particularly tasty. For drinks, they had cava alongside the juices which I thought was a nice touch.
Cons: Unfortunately, one of the hand towels appeared to have what looked like black makeup on it on the first day of our arrival; and another uncleaned bath towel (with some sort of flakes stuck on it) on the second day of our stay. Other than that, no other issues.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: While we chose this location for convenience to attend the Grand Prix, we would love to go back to this pretty little town and stay at this hotel again for a another visit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and pretty room and great restaurant. Also the location is amazing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We traveled in a group. Some had the deluxe rooms, some had the superior ones. The superior rooms are standard hotel rooms, but the deluxe ones are simply beautiful! If you can close, go for deluxe. These rooms are very classy gems.
Cons: Nothing bothered me. The rooms were good, the staff was helpful, the beds were comfy.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room, spacious with a large bed and good shower. Very centrally situated in Durbuy. Hotel is very nice and Durbuy is lovely, would stay here again.
Cons: No bar in the hotel (according to staff member I asked) but plenty nearby. No parking but we knew that before we booked.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just a great location, friendly staff and very comfortable.
Cons: Nothing
La Ferme De Durbuy - Durbuy - Building
15
8.2 Excellent (150 reviews)
AED 444+
Overview Reviews
This ancient farmhouse is located in the village of Warre, a 5-minute drive from Durbuy. When the weather is nice, you can enjoy your meals on the terrace. La Ferme de Durbuy offers modern rooms with a private bathroom and TV. An optional farm breakfast is served to you in the morning, including fresh eggs and bread. La Ferme De Durbuy is situated on the slope of a hill and is a 20-minute walk away from Durbuy. There are free parking facilities.
7.9 Good
Pros: The area and farm were beautiful. Breakfast was great! The staff were very friendly. Since the atmosphere is so beautiful it would be a great addition to offer a glass of wine at check in or like a daily cocktail hour with cheese and meats or something. We had free time before dinner and would have loved to sit out on the porch with a glass of wine enjoying the view.
Cons: The payment process. They charge your credit card twice for the exact same amount at the exact same time, basically charging you per night. This is confusing and makes you think a mistake was made by the credit card company.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful renovated farm that was very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was so delicious! The property is pretty and we wished it was warmer to sit out on the nice back deck.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Secluded location but ok if u have transport
5.4 Okay
Pros: The location was beautiful. The bedding was good, nice towels. Generally the room was good.
Cons: There was no coffee, tea or water facilities in the room. There was no clear instructions or list of facilities offered. With this being said it didn't have that warm welcoming feel. Other than that the room was good. The TV was tiny and therefore should not be placed so high on the wall or a bigger one should be installed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful stay with family and friends! The kids loved running around and playing with the many toys that are available at the hotel. The staff was super friendly and were always ready to help. The breakfast buffet has lots of choice and you can always count on the staff to give you great recommendations of activities to do around.
6.3 Good
Pros: The hotel was in a lovely quiet spot.
Cons: There was no fridge in your room or the use of air conditioning. We had originally booked a room with a double bed and a single bed but on our arrival were given a room with 2 small single beds and an even smaller child size bed that folded into a cupboard. Not appropriate for 3 adults. Thankfully after drawing attention to this fact, we were put into a more appropriate room with adequate beds.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: small space in room for family
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: The location was relatively close to the city.
Cons: The street towards the hotel felt very unsafe. There was no lighting and the road was very poor and dangerous when the sun’s down. The shower was pretty dirty and had stains. We were provided with two half litre bottles of water and the tap water was gross. When asking for another bottle I was told they don’t provide that unless we pay €2 per bottle. Keep mind the room was €152 for one night. The WiFi.. there’s no wifi in the rooms. You need to go the lobby to have access to the WiFi. So watching a movie in the room was impossible. In the morning we wanted to use the provided two coffee filter pads that only work with the coffee machine available in the room. We couldn’t figure out how to make it work because there were no directions. We proceeded to check out and tell the man at the check out that the machine was broken. He said ‘it’s not broken, there’s a button on the bottom & back of the machine to turn it on’. This is separate from the button in the front of the machine to run the coffee through. I told him he should provide some directions in case people don’t know because we just assumed the machine was broken. And I was given this response ‘well most people don’t need those kind of directions and can figure it out on their own’. So instead of giving me a voucher, a proper answer or help with the machine, I was basically being called dumb and stupid for not knowing how to work the coffee machine that was very unclear and illogical. A normal and friendly answer with an apology would’ve been enough, but there was no apology, just the man by the desk essentially calling me stupid. Will not recommend to anyone nor ever come here again. The rooms were ok, but the horrible service and rude staff makes it an absolute NO!
6.7 Good
Pros: Staff were very friendly.
Cons: A/C was off during summer. We couldn't sleep properly. Beds were very basic. Flooring was very basic. (Not fault of hotel) location has nothing of much interest (Durbuy/Bomal), so keep that in mind.
7.1 Good
Pros: The surroundings, the overall layout and location.
Cons: The food in the restaurant, also when complaining staff insisted it was the first time anybody complained and nothing could be done about it. We were with four and none of us could eat more then one or two bites (fish and steak) we had to go out for pizza later on. Rest was super
7.5 Good
Pros: The wellness room! This room was amazing to relax and chill! Durbuy is also nearby so that is great.

Pros: We loved the village
7.9 Good
Pros: Great location and nice staff
Cons: The showerhead was placed very low, which meant that you had to hold it the whole time while showering.
7.1 Good
Cons: toilet of room 9 too close to bath no parking
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was not included in original quote. It was well worth the 15 euros however.
Cons: Ideally there could have been tea or coffee making facility in the room.
7.1 Good
Pros: Very friendly and helpful front desk. The hotel I checked in at (apparently an affiliate of the one where my room was) was very nice and breakfast (paid for separately) was good. Both hotels were centrally located in the beautiful small village of Durbuy. Lots of small shops, bars, cafes and restaurants close by. My room was large. There was hot water, but only a bathtub and shower hose... no shower curtain.
Cons: The hotel building itself requires repairs. Holes in the floor of the stairwell. Old soiled carpet. Easy chairs in room were thread-bare. Messy and un-kept foyer area (resulting in a poor first impression). No reception desk! Small sign out front directing us to another hotel down the street (150 meters) to haul our bags and check in (then haul them back). Nearest reasonably priced parking lot was more than 300 meters away. For the price I paid ($132 Euro per night), without breakfast, the room and hotel were overpriced.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice, quiet and clean room. Super comfy beds and pillows! We slept so well. The receptionist was very friendly upon arrival. We felt at home and enjoyed our stay a lot. Definitely recommendable!
7.5 Good

5.4 Okay
Pros: Food in the restaurant was really nice although a little pricey and the staff were friendly enough. Location is out of town but a nice town and close enough for a short drive.
Cons: Room was on the ground floor and got extremely hot in the night with no way of cooling other than opening a large window right next to the restaurant and people walking past after their meal. Although no TV in the rooms was stated on the booking a TV was there with 1 channel available which was strange. The decor and furniture is a bit dated and tired so could do with a thorough refresh at some point soon.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Big bathroom. Restaurant was good with value for money and very friendly staff.
Cons: Rather simple breakfast, only 1 working channel on TV. Room was dated and small. Far away from village and no public transport.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Quiet place, outside the village Restaurant /food /drinks are ok
Cons: Most staff/service people speaks only french. The bedroom was ok, however only one french channel and no radio channel at television.

Cons: Old rooms with low quality bedding, no airco.
6.7 Good
Pros: We was able to park the motorbike right outside the room
Cons: very strange place ,wasnt what we expected but we couldnt book any were else ,over priced, swimming pool we were told was 28c more like 18c , there was a sauna but that closed ar 6.00 why would you close it at this time when people are arriving and might want to try the sauna ,we were asked if we was having breakfast we said yes then i checked if it was including but was told no i said we wouldnt take breakfast as it was 10 euro each a bit expensive and should be made more clear on booking .com but the management wouldnt allow us to cancell so we had to have it ,the separate toilet in the room smelt of ciggarette smoke .
5.4 Okay
Pros: I did like the food
Cons: The hotel seems to be old, and needs some work, the beds were worn, the bath room did not have heating, didn't hae warm water in the morning (probably because other guests we all taking a bath or so ..) There was a hole in the floor, I think for ventilation, but was just covered by a carpet ..
5.8 Okay
Pros: The staff was great and the food was delicious.
Cons: The swimming pool is much smaller than shown in the pictures. Also it says on the website that it's a four star hotel and yet they do not have the certified plate to confirm this, further more the facilities and cleanliness does not match that of a 4 star establishment.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The indoor swimming pool was great! The breakfast was super delicious and the rooms were cute!
Cons: The reception did not speak english and the swimming pool could be a bit warmer
7.5 Good
Pros: Good covered swimming pool tropical theme. The guy at the reception (probably the owner) very kind and good hospitality. He was kind to offer us a big fan as we had booked non-AC room.
Cons: A lady was being too cautious so mistakenly shouted on my kids when they touched the glass or candle on the table which scared my kids a bit
7.1 Good
Pros: The breakfast was good especially our requests to the chef, Nice location if you want quiet location pleasant staff
Cons: Location a little off the beaten track for local faclities you had to travel or eat in at the resturant
