You literally walk out the front door and you are looking at the Cordoba Mosque. unbelievable!!!! I also loved the fact that they control the traffic with a pop up barrier which significantly limits the number of cars that pass around the mosque and in front of the hotel.
The staff seemed like they could not care less about visitors. Service was only offered on request - not as a natural part of their jobs.
Location location location!
The location could not be better sharing as it does a street with the mosque-cathedral. All the historic parts are within minutes. The streets are not so narrow that normal cars will have any problem. The rooms are very quiet. The reception staff spoke excellent English and gave excellent advice. The underground garage is very convenient and the staff parked the car.
I liked this hotel the very best of all my hotels in the two weeks I travelled in Spain and Morocco. I wish I could have stayed there at least a week. It was a beautiful experience. Thank you
Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely courtyard room, great value. lunch was a great disapointment
Next to the Mezquita and historic Cordoba Parking was difficult
The quality of the room, the overall hotel, and the staff was terrific. Great location. Excellent breakfast (9€). Nothing not to like.
The location was directly across the street from the Mezquita and offered valet parking (which based on the ramp down to the parkade, I was very happy for!). You had to access the hotel by buzzing an attendant who then lowered a pylon blocking the street to allow you access to the street that became pedestrian only for most of the day. So leaving the area was not fast (narrow streets with lots of people).
Inmidiate access to all the attraction. N Noisie rooms, uncomfortable bed and worn down linens.
The location of the hotel was very good and the ambience was quiet. The room was good although the bed lacked a certain comfort. Generally I enjoyed my stay. Finding a cockroach in the bathroom was a bit if a shock as imagined that the hotel would be too clean for that. I also could not quite work out why the nightly rate was E60 one night and 69 the following night.( I stayed on a Wednesday and Thursday night) Breakfast was extra on both days.
Location! It had great service, and people in Córdoba were very friendly. Rooms were clean, and comfortable. Buffet was a bit expensive for its content.
The courtyards are beautiful and it is close to the Cathedral/mosque
location was superb staff was very helpful room was amazing, it was huge
TERRIBLE PILLOWS . VERY UNCOMFORTABLE TO SLEEP ON THEM .
Modern hotel with excellent facilities, very large room & bathroom in excellent position very close to the main sights of Cordoba The fact that (A) the airconditioning system was centrally controlled rather than individual ; and (B) it was set on heating, making it impossible to have cool air. It was a choice of having it off or on heating, and for one who needs air conditioning it made it very unpleasant. Were it not for the fact that we arrived at night, I would have changed hotels for this reason.
Very modern & well presented The reception staff were not very friendly
Very spacious room. Hotel was very centrally located. No free wireless internet. Breakfast at over 17 Euros was expensive for what you get.
Great location, and a very attractive property. I liked the outdoor bar under the orange trees. Staff not particularly friendly.
The location of this hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the Jewish quarter and a 5-minute walk from the old mosque/cathedral. It is located in a quiet plaza and has an underground parking garage. The interior patio was charming to sit and have a drink when we returned in the evening. The Nespresso machine was a pleasant surprise to the room, which we took advantage of. The decor is standard and lacks the charm of a boutique hotel, but the hotel is clean, comfortable, and offers good service.
very nice hotel in a glamour atmosfera .. no safe in the room
We had a comfortable room and a spacy bathroom. The breakfast buffet was nice arranged. The serviceperson were very friendly and the service exelent.
The building was very nice. This was the only hotel on our trip to Spain that I have negative comments about. The hotel staff were not friendly, the room very dark, only one window looking out on to a small passageway. The window could not be opened. No resturant so had room service which was not the best. Parking although good to have very difficult to get in to especially with 4X4.
Excellent location..right where you need to be.garage also great. The hot breakfast buffet was terrible...rest of breakfast OK.
Great location, room dissapointing, staff helpfull, but understaffed, value ok
Location -close to the Mesquite (next door) and reasonable bars restaurants
Very central for tourist spots and the on site parking Extremely noisy at night and in the mornings
Central location Clean and large rooms, good bathroom facilities Staff not particularly friendly (as very often the case in Andalusia though)
great position of hotel close to of places of interest but still quiet. helpfull friendly staff, good breakfast choices.
everything you need is available, big room, next to the Mezquita!
Really good breakfast buffet great value at 8 Euros
The bedroom was perfect and spacious and had the added bonus of a bath. A couple of English speak tv channels. Mini bar in room. The restaurant closes early in the evening at 10.00pm
Location. Lighting system with room card. Luxurious bathroom. It was too short (one night).
beautiful newly renovated property in historical setting. rooms and bath very beautiful management very courteous and professional mild bad smell in bathroom
Room was beautifully furnished, good location We arrived early afternoon there were 5 people on the reception but only one seemed to know what they were doing. It took over 15mins to check us in.Porter could not find the room which turned out to be very nice but quite dark We asked for extra lamp but told owner does not like rooms to be well lit and no other lighting was available.
A magnificently restored palace providing a taste of life in Arab Andalucia. Excellent location.
Romantic, not only near, but actually INSIDE the main sight seeing attractions (Jewish Quarter)
This hotel is just amazing!!!! no
The patios of the hotel were really beautiful. The location of the hotel is perfect. The breakfast was good, but not very varied. The hot part of the breafast was very limited.
Very clean, great staff, fantastic location.
Good location and traditional style decoration. There're lots of nice restaurants and bars nearby. You can just walk around the hotel and find a nice one. Car parking was not available though we requested at the reservation. They should notify the guests at the web site if the booking of car parking is not acceptable. Overall cost performance is not high.
Great location and ambiance. Toilet very small! Bathroom had a strange bad smell!
The design of the hotel, with its old buildings tastefully furnished around beautifully arranged gardens, makes it a unique place to stay. It fits in perfectly with the atmosphere of the old town. The staff were friendly and polite. The hotel lacks facilities normally associated with a 5 star category. It is possible to hear the noise of plumbing and people walking in neighbouring rooms. We had a pleasant stay but realised at the end that during busy periods it would be annoying to have to put up with all the noise from the adjacent rooms. We would recommend the hotel but with this warning.
The hotel is historically interesting and the standard of decor is excellent. The staff were most helpful. The location is perfect.Breakfast good very good value. Rooms a little on small side but that goes with the history of the place.
Location, facility was charming and staff very helpfu. Room a little small
Fantastic place. Great atmosphere. It is built in a house of the roman times, previously to the Mezquita. It's neighboor is the Mezquita itself. Great location. Could not be better. A trully wonderful experience.
Very clean and tidy. Very nice decor and layout of rooms. It was an excellent location. Was much nicer inside than it looked from the outside. Although it said there was a restaurant, infact it was only available for a buffet breakfast. No bar, minibar or safe deposit boxes
Location could not be better. Arrived via train. Very easy to find, located right between the Roman bridge and Mosque-Cathedral. Interior is welcoming and building has a history of its own. Would definitely return.
The room had only one window/door which opened on a closed patio, i.e. the room was very dark and with no air.
Fantastic position, friendly and helpfull staff Right on cobbled street which was noisy at night if you left the window open.
I´d like very much location and interior decorating (Andalusian well) Rooms are very small
helpful staff, physical charm of the hotel
Could not be better located being adjacernt to the Cathedral although difficult to get at initially by car. Good environment and nicely furnished and decorated room. Good attractive bathroom. Only 2 adjacent parking spaces else long term parking 15 to 20 mins walk away. Rooms quiet small and windows onto common internal patio areas. Breakfasts quite limited and not included.
The staff was very helpful in making a reservation, giving advice and giving us an umbrella. Breakfast was very basic
Excellent location near to the Mezquita. Good breakfast with gigantic croissant! Smallish but comfortable room.
This boutique family run hotel is a modern gem in a traditional courtyard setting. It is Ideally situated in the jewish quarter and only five minutes walk from the Mezquita and most of the main sites and restaurants. The view of the cathedral at night from the roof terrace is stunning. Use taxis to get around. they are cheap and very quick. It was perfect. Nothing
Very welcoming staff who were friendly and informative. Good location. Quiet but convenient.Room quite small but comfortable. It would have been good to have tea/coffee making facilities in our room.
Stylish Hotel, nice attention to detail throughout and very personable staff It is difficult to find if you are navigating the small streets in the historic district of Cordoba very near the Mezquita, however, this district is the only place you would want to stay in Cordoba.
Very cheap yet comfortable and right on Plaza Santa Catalina. Couldn't do better for the price.
The location. The hotel is located next to the gate of the Mosque (now Cathedral) of Cordoba. It is a perfect place to stay if one wants to enjoy this beautiful site. Also, the staff are wonderful, and the decor and art of the hotel are worthwhile themselves. No English language stations on the tv, but, that is a small complaint.
The hotel was next to the Mezquita and in the heart of the historic city which was fabulous. Unfriendly and unhelpful reception staff. No internet access in the room.
Hotel is right in center of historic old city and next to mosque walls. We parked at nearby hotel for 15 euros. Big room for three of us. Not luxury but nice and perfect location.
No wifi in rooms. But it was workable.
Very very charming hotel. I had the best room ever ! Very good value for money. Perfect location, just opposite the door of the Mezquita
Fantastic place, in front of Mosquee, in the heart of historical city.Very clean with an atmosphere of historical time Very difficult to reach by car, almost impossible, no parking at all!!!!! Even after reservation of parking by mail no parking when arriving. Very poor breakfast, almost nothing and bad service of breakfast - waiting 30minutes to be served.Very small bedroom.
One of the few hotels on our recent visit to Spain that included breakfast, which was delightful. It's a charming place, great location and helpful staff. It was my favorite of 5 hotels we stayed at in Spain. Will definitely recommend to others.
The staff is so extremely friendly and we felt so much at home which is very unusual here in Spain. It was excellent from day one. Juan, who works at the reception, he is extraordinary, one in a million. It is a must place to stay for visitors in Cordoba. We were well taken care of. What can I say, the place is superb!!!
Hotel was very convient to everything: The staff was excellent: I would recommend it highly:
Facilities, staff, attention to detail, room appointments, quality all top notch. Beautiful small facility. Lots of space in room, closet and bathroom. Excellent location, Breakfast/internet included was a bonus. Reviews were very positive and we fully agree. A perfect combination of location, rate, facility and references. Nothing. Driving in Spain was a challenge but not a reflection of the hotel
The Breakfast and that it was served in my room to perfection.
Helpful & attentive staff. Quality of furnishings & fittings was excellant. Combined large flat screen TV and Internet access very useful.
From the moment we arrived , the staff were extremely helpful, in paticular the manager who went out of his way to give any kind of assistance. Location was perfect for easy access to all local sights etc Within a few minutes of the excellent Restaurant also owned by the Hotel. Impossible to find if you have a car, and would recommend anybody to use the train instead! Also quite expensive to use hotel car park, but no alternative.Room was rather dark, and a litttle noisy from the street.
We would recommend the hotel. We had a most enjoyable stay.
Hospitality with excellent welcome, facilities including use of up to date computers with internet free of charge in every room, excellent restuarant next door, jacuzzi in all rooms etc etc
Location ; staff helpfulness Difficult to access by csr
There were many things we really enjoyed about the hotel - the decor of the room, the quality of the furnishings, the wonderful full breakfast and the demeanor and helpfulness of the staff. I would highly recommend this hotel - given the luxuriousness of the hotel, it seems too inexpensive and hence a real bargain. No - we loved it.
Location perfect to see history of Cordoba. Hotel excellent value for money, staff really helpful.
Nice, clean rooms in the heart of Córdoba parking of the hotel was a bit difficult to find. We had to call the hotel and a guy came to look for us to guide us to the carpark. Breakfast was a bit poor. Better to go out for breakfast.
Convenient location. Affordable. Generally quiet. Had Magnum bars available for sale in lobby! Was not thrilled that we had to wait for our room to be cleaned upon check-in. Also was not thrilled by the mosquitos!
Great staff. Secure parking. Fantastic location right next to cathedral/mosque and main historical centre.
Excellent air conditioning! Also, location was ideal for the Mezquita and all parts of the old town. Sound proofing not great (metal doors to the rooms could be noisy opening and closing!)
The location of hotel was terrific The double bed was too small for 2 tall people and the covers, though excellent for the winter, were too warm for summer.
It was very convenient, right next to the mosque and amid all the cedieval streets of Cordoba.
The location was perfect, close to the Mezquita, yards away. The street Encarnacion is so narrow our compact car nearly brushed the walls: the parking garage was two long blocks away and very, very hard to descend into (ridiculously tight curved ramp) with difficult parking slots. This hotel should be noted ¨not for drivers.
location breakfast is like being in a works canteen. Need to offer better food and service
Great value and location, accomodating staff, friendly and comfortable
The location was great right in the heart of everything. The beds were very uncomfortable, room extremely small, low on supplies in the bathroom, doors were very difficult to lock and unlock, the desk person in the evening seemed very disinterested in whatever was going on and the patrons.
Beautifully restored old Andalucian building in an unpreposessing street Helpful staff Comfortable room overlooking internal courtyard Room could have been warmer
Excellent location and price Single uncomfortable beds and poor cable reception on a very small television
Th courtyard was a very pleasant space. View to the adjacent plaza from the room was beautiful too. The location was just great, 2 minutes away from the Great Mosque of Cordoba.
The hotel location was perfect for seeing all the major sights. The staff was great and very helpful with near perfect English. Large room with huge marble bath with tub and shower combo. The only draw back was that no breakfast was available, but there was a Cafe directly across with a very reasonably priced breakfast options.
Beautiful room, good location. Had to go out for breakfast, but that was ok. due to it's location in the heart of the historical pedestrian zone, hotel was difficult to locate and parking was far away.
We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Gonzalez. We were only in Cordoba for one night but the hotel would have been fine for longer. Our room was comfortable with everything we needed and the bathroom was fine. It's not luxury but that's not what we were looking for, and it's excellent value for the price. We had a view of an attractive but not heavily used courtyard so it was quiet and pleasant. Staff were helpful and friendly, offered us a choice of rooms and advice about the pros and cons. The location is great, steps from the Mezquita. We would definitely stay there again.
The location can't be beat - right around the corner from the Mezquita. The receptionist was friendly and spoke good english. The rooms are ok though a little dark from the small windows. there is no facility for breakfast, but the café across the street serves breakfast from 9am. One of our two rooms smelled bad, as if it hadn't been aired for weeks. Also there is no parking anywhere close. But these are not major points.
Located right next to the Cathedral, Flamenco dancing, jumping off location for walking through Jewish section and old city. The breakfast setting is quite austere in that you get a scant meal ticket for eating at the Cafe next door. But, what do you expect for 52e?
