Pros: My daughter and I were looking for a place in CDA for a decent price and wanted something different. This was the perfect place! Very comfortable and spacious. There were so many things to look at and the owner really put detail into every part of the stay! They were kid friendly as well! Lots of games and movies. Breakfast was a great plus too (:. We will definitely be coming back and recommending our friends! Thanks for the stay!

Pros: The hospitality, and feeling of homeliness made this stay one of the best nights we have ever had.
Cons: Nothing everything was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This property should be fully booked months in advance. It’s totally different experience comparing with bigger hotels. You feel like at home here besides also feeling like in a museum. In a good way of course, it’s very cozy. Hosts are worth another article or two. Husband is well known artist, most of the paintings are made by him and wife is a writer, excellent chef, smart, interesting and very warm woman so the atmosphere in the house is special. Oh, and the views! And the tranquility you won’t find anywhere else around Coeur d’Alene. It’s only 15 min away from downtown. Also it’s so cheap you feel like a robber haha.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: One of a kind place to stay: great decor, amazing views from the terrace facing lake Coeur d'Alene. Family atmosphere with great food and great service. Hotel employee is amazing hostess.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional décor, all handmaid by the host, lent an extraordinarily eclectic yet homey feel to the place. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious. The area was beautiful and there was a visiting moose in the morning.
Cons: No.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I highly recommend! I truly haven't experienced such a wonderful stay as here. The moment you enter, you are enlightened. I'm a bit sensitive and selective, and instantly felt comforted and even a little spoiled. ; ) It was like being at home, yet a magical home!! The hosts effort is remarkable, from your personal welcome at your room, serving spectacular breakfasts while accommodating individual dietary needs, and so much more. I'm one of those 'free people'...gluten, dairy, soy free etc..and I'm so appreciative to not have just gotten an apple on my plate! In fact, in every aspect here, there is creativity and care. You could spend your whole day admiring the extremely talented hosts artwork that surrounds you. The location and views are breathtaking, and on my last morning we even got a little snow to top it all off. The drive to the property is easy peasy, there are lots of musical instruments available to play with, room was way comfortable and I loved soaking in the vintage claw foot tub!! I was in the area for some family time following the loss of my dear mother, and I felt so acknowledged. After a deep feeling day, as I was serenaded by kind musical brother travelers, our sweet hostess even brought me wine ...and popcorn!! It was hard to leave, and am looking forward to my next visit! PS, there are LIONS all around the home, definite added smiles for this Leo Lioness.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The meals and the hosts were amazing :) the view could not be beat!
Cons: Only thing for me was how far it was out of town but in the end it was worth it
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sandy has a loving spirit: a joy of a host. Loved the hot breakfast, the log cabin turned castle, comfy beds, and super calm and quiet location. Know that you won’t be walking to the corner coffee shop. The b&b is way back up a windy drive just out of town. The tucked away in the woods aspect is part of the charm. And this home is, indeed, a charm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly owners

Pros: Very clean, comfortable, tasteful and spacious.
Cons: I wish that 1) breakfast could be served a litte longer - perhaps until 10:00 or 10:30am 2) you could provide some body wash for showering 3) the kleenex were much softer. It is very rough and a little unpleasant to use.

Pros: I and my manfriend liked everything about our stay. The breakfast was very tasty, especially the zucchini bread and the watermelon. Nancy fixed a nice lunch, with last minute notice, to take with us. I would recommend staying there.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location. Ambiance
Cons: No dislikes
10.0 Excellent
Pros: our stay was very short, but it was perfect. the place was excellent, not just our room which was immaculate but also the common living room. the little snacks and wine available at all hours was exceptional. The host was a lovely person and her suggestion on how we spend our day seemed tailored to my wife and i, and was exactly what we wanted. Then to top it all off she made a second breakfast just for the 2 of us because when we came down for breakfast we told her we don't eat some of the ingredients in her initial main dish (we gave her know prior indication of our dietary restrictions). we would have been happy to just eat the yogurt, homemade granola, fruit and pastries, but no she went out of her way to make separate main dishes for us.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is great. In a very nice historic neighborhood close to downtown. Having the bikes was a plus. The breakfast was excellent and the eating area was in a nice big room overlooking the yard. The host had a lot of knowledge of the area and was very helpful.
Cons: We stayed in the large room on the main floor. The bathroom had a door that connected with the kitchen which made it feel like we were in the same room. With all of the doors in the room, privacy was a concern. The bed was kind of small and hard.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nancy was a great host. She gave us information about the area which helped in our decision of how to spend our limited time. Breakfast was wonderful too!

6.0 Good
Pros: I was locked out of the facility twice at one point, I was told by the cook that I was going to “get what I get and not throw a fit” for breakfast. When all I did was in choir to how do I sign up for breakfast, because I have food allergies. I was not impressed with how I was treated I came for medical treatment and I picked your place because I wanted A lovely comfortable place to stay. The bed was amazing. The bathrooms are small but do the trick. As comfortable as the room was I will not be back and I will not refer this facility. It’s the little things that matter and I do believe that your place usually does that when management is around. But there seem to be a major lack of management the night I was there. thank you for a beautiful hotel, but not the most beautiful stay.

Pros: The location is terrific, just 4 blocks off the main avenue, an easy walk. The breakfast was excellent both days. The proprietors and staff were friendly and accomodating. The bed was very comfortable, I slept very well.
Cons: Housekeeping left something to be desired. The bathroom trash was not emptied, dirty towels were not replaced, nor removed. I would expect more than that from such a nice property.

6.2 Good
Pros: Nice location, attractive old house, comfortable bed.
Cons: It looked like no one had vacuumed under the bed or radiators for months. My wife dropped a pill, which rolled under the bed and was consumed by a dust ball the size of New Jersey. This is not what you should expect (or tolerate) for a room that cost $270 for the night. We mentioned the problem to the staff on the way out: they said they would take a look - but offered no apology.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location, cleanliness, beds are the best, great staff!

Pros: Room was luxurious and comfortable.
Cons: Parking is limited.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great continental breakfast included in price
Cons: Would prefer bathroom in room next time
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The checkout
Cons: Got onsite and found out that I didn’t have rooms next to my kids but in a separate building all together. The kids beds were supposed to be 2 twins and it wound up being a queen bed. The kids had to share a bathroom with strangers. Not my ideal room outside behind the main house and it was just another motel room. Space heaters and a portable ac unit that was in the room. Our shower sprayed everywhere and it splashed all over the floor in the bathroom. Nothing about this stay was really up to what was on the site and very misleading.

Pros: Loved your hot pool and swimming pool. Clean and well kept. clean room and comfortable beds. The food was fabulous!

1.0 Poor
Pros: The rooms were nice
Cons: They double charged me when I extended my stay. Additionally they changed the rate after checkout for my additional day.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We called the Front Desk because we couldn't find a Do Not Disturb sign. They had someone deliver one within minutes. It was clean, quite and the room (with a king bed) was larger than a lot we have stayed in. Beds were comfortable, lights over vanity were bright enough to see to shave or apply makeup, and room for suitcases without tripping over them. Could have used a little more grassy area for the dog's use but overall a very good place to stay. We will stay there again.
Cons: Wish there could have been a place to let the dog off leash for a little while. Other than that, there really wasn't anything that we found fault with.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I like it here. My new place to stay on my frequent visits home. Be nice to get a coupon for a cheaper stay.
Cons: Room is pet friendly but smelled like a wet dog. Bed is needing replaced. Breakfast is over a little early.

I highly recommend the restaurant food. It was delicious and very reasonable with oversized servings. Everyone is so pleasant and helpful.
Cons: Can't think of anything.

Pros: The complimentary breakfast is the best part about staying here. I also like that the check out time is a little later than some other hotels. Also, the staff at the front desk loaned me their personal phone charger, because I forgot mine.
Cons: No.

4.0 Okay
Cons: I didn’t know that our bathroom would be across the hall. We ran out of toilet paper and there wasn’t an extra one in the bathroom or the hall closet. The room inclusded a full breakfast but you didn’t have a choice of what to eat.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast, bar, location, staff , value for money.plenty of hot water for showers, and robes were a nice touch.
Cons: Bedroom was very hot at night, and you can hear everything ( snores, walking, talking etc).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Checking in was a snap. The room, linens, carpet, fixtures were all spotless. There was a Keurig unit in our room, and another in the hallway where additional/different pods were available. WiFi connection was super easy and strong. The restaurant kitchen on the first floor could be heard up to the time they finished for the night - in our case that was around 10pm (they closed early for a holiday). This did not really cause us a problem, and guests on the 3rd floor wouldn't notice it at all. Overnight, the room was very quiet and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast consisted of several choices. The location is just a few short blocks from downtown and the lake attractions - an easy walk much of the year.
Cons: The room was not what I expected. Not that it was bad, but the photos on this site are of many different rooms in no order, so you really don't know what your room will be like until you enter, Also, know that this is an older house with older flooring and doors. The doors are not very soundproof. You will easily hear other guests in the hallway, and um, its likely they will easily hear you, too, if you're not careful. 'Nuff said!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I made a mistake in my booking that surely would have resulted in a charged cancellation if it were a large chain hotel. The staff here noticed the mistake and immediately contacted me and fixed the issue! The room was large with a private bathroom and the bed was incredibly comfortable! The included breakfast was wonderful and all of the staff were very friendly! I will always check here first when looking for a place to stay in Coeur d’Alene
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Unique establishment
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful heritage building, nicely renovated but still retains its charm. Well appointed with lovely antique furniture. Adjoining restaurant served delicious tapas. Great location with a short walk to the beach and McEwen Park. Would definitely return
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a very nice Bed and Breakfast. Great room with a claw foot tub in the bathroom. Two common lounges with kitchens, cookies and treats for guests. Restaurant and full bar attached. Free homemade and delicious breakfast. Great walking location.
7.0 Good
Pros: kris was very nice and the dining room was lovely. Our dinner on Saturday was great! Our room was small, as was the bathroom, but we expected that in such an old house. The pillows were wonderful (I’m getting some for home) and the bed was just ok. Unfortunately, the coffee cart in the hallway only had cups one morning and we had to add water to the coffee machine each time we wanted a cup. We mentioned it to our male host the second morning but we never saw cups again. We reused the ones we got the first day. Convenient location, for sure!
Cons: See above.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely and personable hotel with modern conveniences while maintaining character and charm from another era. The restaurant is delicious with meals created from scratch and live music in the evenings. Fantastic dinner & *free* sit-down homemade breakfast!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the room!!
1.0 Poor
Cons: No hot tub the pool was moss green. I picked a hotel with a pool. Kids whole trip is the swimming pool and no pool. Epic fail
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel employee who checked us in was amazing. She was able to assign us two rooms that had adjoining doors. Both rooms were clean.
Cons: The towels should not be stored close to the floor. The doors were open to the room when we got there, I guess it was waiting to be checked by management. Pool was cold and the hot tub was under construction which was disappointing. Dryer took 2 hours.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice very big room. However the staffs were not very friendly.
Cons: Nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel, central location, responsive staff, free breakfast, what more can I say this hotel was awesome.
5.0 Okay
Cons: I had a ground floor room along the parking lot. The main curtains were bolted to the ceiling in a way that they could never be closed. Not only did that allow for zero privacy since the room was next to guest parking, it also let in a ton of light.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendliness of staff
8.0 Excellent
Pros: the staff was great room was great.
Cons: only down side is we where next to a exit and listened to the door slam all night as people went in and out. but we understand that so will just ask not to be next to a door next time

Cons: The bed was very uncomfortable. Terrible sleep. My back was out for days after and affected my trip. Next time I will pay more money at a higher end hotel with a better bed.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is on the older side, but maintained very well. It was super clean and the owners were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was included and it was prepared just for me. They have a menu of 6 choices of breakfast entrees with coffee and a choice of juice, meat and toast. Very close to down town and the lake.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hosts, warm welcome & good suggestions for a dinner place within walking distance! You can choose your favorite breakfast out of some delicious options!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The personal touches made the experience memorable. The location of the property was easy to find. I'd describe it as old time service.
Cons: The hot water took quite a bit of time. I felt bad about wasting water waiting for it to warm. My wife said she heard traffic noise but I didn't.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Tim, the manager was very friendly and helpful in answering our questions about directions to where we needed to go. The room was exceptionally clean, appreciate that so much. Very reasonably priced and would recommend.
Cons: All was good
9.1 Excellent
Pros: I was aprehensive at first, took a chance on a non chain hotel and I'm not disapointed. Trust the reviews, they are pretty accurate. We found the room very clean, roomy and fairly modern. Don't let the photos of the exterior fool you. I've paid a lot more for a room and had a lot less. Plenty of hot water and pressure in shower. Bed linen very nice, loved the pillows. Staff certainly went the extra mile. Lots of little extra touches in the room. No noise from neighbors or street. Good value for the area. Lobby area and designated area clean and nicely decorated. We'd stay again.
Cons: Free breakfast was just okay. Maybe the two egg breakfast with sausage is not the best choice. Service and presentation was nice. Bed was a little firm for my liking, however my husband loved it. There was a slight odor to the room when we first entered which we quickly got used to. TV screen is curved, but certainly watchable with plenty of channels.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners are on site and were very friendly and helpful. Location is very walkable to restaurants and downtown CDA
Cons: A little bit of road noise, but not continual.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a great stay! Nice clean rooms, friendly and accommodating staff with a personal touch at every turn. Tasty made-to-order breakfast choices and a peaceful little garden/sitting area. Looks like a motel. Acts like a B&B. Thanks hotel employee
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super clean room with comfortable clean beds. I always lift up the sheets and look at the mattress. I’m terrified of seeing something gross. Our mattresses were as clean as anyone Would expect. In the Asian lady which I think I own’s makes you breakfast in the morning. Pretty cool place I would definitely go back
Cons: I really can’t think of anything. It was better than most places you’d pay at least 60% more for
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was easy to find and in a quiet neighborhood. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, simply furnished, comfortable, and had everything we expect from a nice hotel. Breakfast is made to order fresh (appropriate portion sizes, not over-sized). We will stay again.

7.0 Good
Pros: Good value when just looking for a place to lay your head.
Cons: odour cover spray was overdone as stated in previous reviews. Breakfast didn’t look very appetizing so we skipped it.
7.5 Good
Pros: It was close to where we needed to be. Inexpensive and allowed pets.
Cons: There was a strange musty smell when we arrived. After a few minutes I didnt notice it so much.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: This motel is a good value for the money. My wife needed a medical procedure in Coeur d'Alene that required us to stay in town the night before. For one night, the Budget Saver Motel fit the bill nicely. Though we didn't bring a pet, I like that pets are welcome. The motel offers a continental breakfast, including a waffle maker. The location is decent, and the area didn't appear sketchy. Easy access down 15th Street from I-90 to the motel, or from the I-90 Sherman Ave. exit for westbound travelers. The mattress was comfortable, and with the exception of the toilet seat lid not staying up, everything in the room, including the heater, fridge and microwave, worked fine and was clean. Another clerk provided us with two extra pillows, making for a more comfortable sleep. Thank you!
Cons: Minor demerits: the aforementioned toilet seat lid not staying up (you'd need to remove the tank lid). You are initially charged about double the stated room rate, which I needed to ask the clerk about before signing the paperwork. He politely explained the motel needs to charge a deposit, refundable if the room is left in good shape upon checking out. Some people might be uncomfortable with longer-term residents who are there; you can rent a room by the week. I didn't notice any loud or unfriendly people, and the dogs I saw were well-behaved. The TV channel selection is limited - no Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, MeTV or some others found at competing motels. But the TV itself is an Insignia larger (32-inch, I think) flat-screen - pretty good.
6.0 Good
Pros: coffee maker, refrigerater, microwave and bathtub in the room. Everything including the AC and TV worked well.
Cons: It's not in great shape, pretty worn out. Breakfast was minimal but we didn't pay a lot for the room so I guess I should be surprised that there even was one. Staff was friendly and helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location - within walking distance to town and lake.
7.0 Good
Pros: The $50 added to my credit card was unexpected And waiting up to 30 days as stated on their agreement For the deposit could be put back on bank credit card is excessive
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was clean and comfortable, The staff was very friendly. They made every effort to make sure we had a nice place. More Motels should emulate this place.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, good value for money!
5.0 Okay
Pros: It was worth the money bed was comfortable
Cons: There needed to be a real deep cleaning of the room especially the bathroom.we stayed there 2 nights and when they cleaned the room after the first night they didn't refresh the coffee. The refrigerator needed to be cleaned good because the previous customer must have had salami because it smelled every time you opened it. We told the manager when we checked out and his explanation was they had a new maid and they were working with her, maybe they need to check a little closer. This was supposed to be a no smoking facility and the manager and another person were smoking right in front of the door to the office.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Kept trying to think why not give highest rating. A basic motel, but the room was nice, good size, very clean!!, good comfortable bed, good size refrigerator with freezer (handy), and works. Mile from downtown, and quiet neighborhood. Recommend.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, comfortable, easy to find. Simple and BEST breakfast in any hotel I have ever stayed.
Cons: The laundry was unavailable. The front office was not immediately visible.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Room condition appeared fine, staff helpful when checking in.
Cons: Noise level in the room from outside environment and other rooms was totally unacceptable and incompatible with sleep.

Pros: Amazing staff.
Cons: My room supposedly had queen beds. I'have never seen a queen bed that small, not even in any other hotel I have stayed in.

Pros: Super friendly staff, great customer care. I had a long day of travel and was tired with headache and staff was so very helpful. Politeness and genuinely catering about others is coming in my many stays here.
Cons: Honestly, Nothing to say.

Pros: The breakfast was AMAZING!! So many choices hot biscuits and gravy with hot eggs and lots of toppings for them, donuts which my daughter loved, and oatmeal with everything you could thing of to put on it!! Yummy... and then the coffee bar available 24/7 delicious!! We enjoyed swimming in the pool and sitting in the hot tub after a long day of shopping at the Ceour d'alene shops and walking Tubbs Hill at Mceuen Park! Close to the highway for quick drive to Post Falls or long drive to anywhere else..
