I recently rented a car from Thrifty/Hertz, and unfortunately, the experience was far from what I expected. The vehicle I was given was at least 12 years old, underpowered, and felt like it was on the verge of falling apart. It drove poorly and didn't give any sense of reliability or comfort—definitely not the quality I expected from a rental. The check-in and return process were frustratingly slow. You had to be very proactive just to get someone's attention, and it felt like they weren't very organised or attentive to customers' needs (perhaps understaffed for the # clients?). To top it off, I had to take a shuttle ride to the airport, which added more time and inconvenience to the process. On top of the issues with the car and service, there were multiple deposit charges placed on my credit card at the time of rental. These were for a vehicle that might be worth around $1,500, which felt excessive considering the condition of the car. I won't be returning to this rental company in the future and will definitely try a different option next time. It was an overall disappointing experience and I would rather pay 50-100 more to have that better experience.
extremely poor. will never use this company again. Reserved midsize vehicle to accommodate 5 people and 2 luggage’s, they brought me this vehicle that can hardly fit 2 people for the midsize vehicle. Had to upgrade to a larger vehicle which in the web description would qualify for midsize vehicle for substantial more money. The pick up and drop off is a nightmare. Small office for a lot a people. I had to leave my family outside in a 100 degree heat.
Slow service when picking up and dropping off the vehicle. It seemed the employees were not trained or unable to know how to handle simple tasks to complete the necessary paperwork and make the process simple and concise.

Over all it was good experience but, very long process in getting the car. It took us 1 hr just standing in a line and long paper work.
The only negative would be the pick up/ drop off system they have. Its all manually done, lots of paperwork. Not a problem when there are not many customers, but really a pain when the there is a line out the door of people waiting to pick up or return. Automation would be awesome! Otherwise the folks were friendly and helpful.
