Pros: The return of the vehicle went smoothly. But pick up not so much. The hubcaps were coming off, it was park up against trees so when the guy who washes cars moved the car, he scratched it up pretty nicely.

Cons: I am very upset that when I booked my rental with Kayak.com, kayak offered an insurance policy with my booking that was not supported by Hertz. In the end I ended up paying KAYAK for an insurance policy, and then charged again by Hertz when I picked up my car for their insurance policy. Kayak should NOT offer these insurance packages that are NOT SUPPORTED by the rental car dealer to avoid double purchases in the future. This is an absolute rip off to me, and this is to Kayak.com not reflecting my great service provided by the very accommodating employees of Hertz. My experience with Hertz was great, kayak.com - not so much.
Pros: Staff was courteous and friendly both at pick up and drop off location. They had no problem looking up the reservation and keeping everything in line with what we reserved. The car was in very good condition and we had no problems over our 7 day rental. We will rent from here again!

Didn't get the car
Pros: They tried to fix my problem as best they could.
Cons: I reserved a Premium SUV "Chevy Tahoe or similar" vehicle. When I arrived they tried to give me a Nissan Pathfinder that sat 7. It wasn't "or similar". I initially tried to make it work but after I started to try to pack luggage in it and take into account the 7 people that would be riding in it I returned it. They accepted the return without any fuss and I ended up renting a minivan a couple of counters over. For about twice as much. The attendant told me that the vehicle I was supposed to have was kept an extra day by the previous renter and that there wasn't much she could do about it. I believe that to be true, but it didn't help my wallet any. They were nice and apologetic but couldn't help me at all.
Pros: Service was great. The staff were pleasant and quick to take care of me when I walked in.
Cons: Windshield was dirty and wipers were worn. I had to stop at gas station to clean. Smelled like smoke.

I am most baffled.....read on....
Pros: I thought I loved the price. But actually I have no idea what the cost will be. I was supposed to get an email from Enterprise. I was supposed to get a phone call from the office I rented from in Lafayette, LA. I got neither.
Cons: The awful communications process. The unfulfilled promises.
Pros: I experienced total loss with the flood in Louisiana, including 2 cars. Insurance is moving along incredibly slowly and apparently there was not rental included in our coverage. Therefore, I have to pay for everything myself. As a Realtor, a care us essential! While I will eventually be able to write it on taxes as a business expense I STILL have to pay for it. Not sure why no one seems to get that part!
The affordability of the car and it's overall good condition is the KEY to my survival as a mom if busy children and an REALTOR trying to provide for my family.
Cons: I booked a Suburban or similar. Was called the day before and was asked if a mini van would be ok. I said yes. When we got there we got a Cheverolet Traverse. Not at all big enough for the people and luggage we had. Very disappointed!
